AndSunGorilla: I read in Completesports that we would be having 8 changes to our lineup with only Ndidi, Troost and Iheanacho retaining their spots. They had Uzoho, Ebuehi, Collins, troost, ajayi, Ndidi, Nwakali, Iheanacho, Ejuke, Olayinka and Iwobi expected to start. I like the lineup personally, I just wish Onyeka could have been smuggled in. If the line-up is true, this is Nwakali's chance to justify his inclusion. Waiting to see who would make a strong case to play in the 2nd round. Am surprised Musa isn't listed though, seeing that he made a cameo in the last game. His inclusion can never be justified. It's a bit like by passing JAMB and having no school certificate but you worked hard and graduated. It's not about how well he can do buy how much bette somebody else who is much better could be have done. |

jihday: I hate comments like this, we all watched the euros where Sancho and Grealish barely had game time despite their fine showing last season. It all comes down to coach’s personal choices no be about ‘Nigeria we hail thee’ It would be considered wisdom to have a bit of depth to your contribution and not just superficial comparison. You are comparing England to Nigeria Once you loose form you are dropped look how quickly Trent Alexander was dropped. Do you see any Championship player's in the England national team. Do you see any player that has not been outstanding in his league and club in the national team. Do you see any player playing in the backwater league of Europe in the England national team. It wasn't down to the coach personal preference of choice, but tactics. Southgate decided to play a caution based game with two defensive midfielder albeit very hard working and disciplined, Rice and Philips. Grealish and Sancho are outstanding players but so also is Saka, Raheem, Mount, Rashford, Bellingham, etc. When Southgate makes a decision you may not agree twith him but you can definitely understand the rational for his decisions. Thats not the case with Nigeria, most things defy all sense of reasoning. We selected a Segunda Division players who has done nothing over EPL best league in the world Midfielder. Because the Segunda player can kick long ball. That is arrant nonsense. Do you think a player who has done nothing for 6 season can enter the England team from the Championship ❓ |

So, na man know man dem dey use enter their team, abi agent know man I could tell you a few crazy stories that I can never prove. But I've met a few White European agents that have told me some of stories. And there is infamous super Naija agent Shittu, his activities are well in known in the past era with NFF officials. |

The onyeka u are talking about is in camp OGA, do you think Eguavoen at this point is seeking cheap money? The man is looking for glory . So if he performs he will feature . who will believe that simon will produce such performance? Or u think he will intentional leave him out? Omo, stories showed that iheanacho has been massive in camp and we saw the result. At this point the coach knows more than you, swallow the bitter pill. Whoever he fields is the best. It would have been different if onyeka was not in camp. The camp is for a few weeks . What you have not done in your club season after season , you are not going to do in a camp of two weeks. No matter what the coaches say. Stranger things have happened in the NFF I remember 2018 World cup Elderson Echiejile was clearly not fit and not able but he went and Aina was made to stay behind. Stories are not FACTS. |

Danielnino00:
Your last paragraph is a lie.. Osimhen only got one call up while he was still struggling with Wolfsburg and that was for the game against South Africa in Uyo.. That call up had little or no impact on his career progression because it wasn't until August of 2018 that he moved to Belgium..His next call up came after his impressive season in Belgium kicked off.. There are plenty of players who have used the national team to boost their careers, but Osimhen isn't one of them.. You contradict yourself you say it's a lie. If you want to be specific and factual you should state the dates and times. First of all without his accolades in the national U17 where do you think he would be ? One call up is still a call up , UNJUSTIFIABLE as it was. His first call up in June 2017 was not really justified, His second call up in November 2018 Uganda is open to question because he had played just a handful of games and had not really been outstanding YET. Nonetheless, Osimhen overcame adversity to succeed, he took my advice it seems. Dropped to a lower league and club, learned and develop then rise. I always say be outstanding in your league and club. He then moved to Lille and the rest is history. In current times or since he left Wolfsburg, l can agree with you that the SE had little or nothing to do with his progression. |

DarkJeddi: There's nothing undue..
About being the highest goalscorer in the history of the U17 World Cup..
To whom much is given..
Much is expected..
Or you think that's an easy achievement?
And even with his injuries..
Osimehn was adamant about coming to the AFCON..
He UNILATERALLY declared himself fit..
Against his clubs wishes..
Until COVID struck..
I fail to see how that equates with the Dennis scenario.. Intelligent people read between the lines and converge the rhetoric with actions. Declaring yourself fit after multiple fractures in on your face unilaterally is not act of commitment. When you know you will NEVER be released to play. A lot of your fans will think it great but people who hi beyond the superficial will see it for what it is. |

The fact that some of the best players are one-footed, tells you it is an added advantage, not a necessity.
Chukwueze is the most one-footed player in that squad. Being one of footed is not an added advantage its a clear disadvantage. |

Mujtahida: I know of Ruben Agboola, and those who have watched the Eagles far longer say even in the formative years of Nigerian football we had foreign born players. We had Odemwingie who played very well for us. Carl Ikeme would have been a great GK but for the unfortunate incident of his health challenges. The present players are doing great. We are receiving huge chunks of foreign financial remittances but when it comes to football, we should close our eyes to foreign born players who want to play for us. Such ideas are just too ridiculous, too inane and it's best one does not speak about it. Even if your latent bias means you can't give up the opportunity to contend with my view point at the slightest opportunity. But at least let there be some rational to your contribution. I was responding to the shameless bigoted disinformation and misinformation given by IDENNA. When he called George Abbey foreign born and as such hates him essentially. Danielnino00: Funny enough, when Rohr dropped an in form Aina for Collins who just returned from injury at the last AFCON, his opinion was that it was NFF politics at play... Now he has found a local coach to shift the blames to.. lol..
Rohr's style of coaching was too conservative, hence his choice of players who suit the style.. Now it seems like Eguavon is selecting his own players based on how he feel they will suit his style..
I'm sure Onyeka will play tomorrow... Rohr didn't select Collins take it or leave it. |

chuks404: . In as much as you are right to some degree, on the other hand, I feel the coaches are closer to the players. Senegal with all the stars couldn't give us good football. Provided Eguavoen is getting results, no need for this your statement. If so called almighty onyeka fits in , he will definitely play. Close to the players, is not necessarily an advantage but a disadvantage as subjectivity can take the place of objectivity on account of relationship past and present. This is why when a new manager comes to a club he is objective and unibiased. As a consequence ,quite often player who has been benched or forgotten becomes the star player. The same manager with the same players may get dramatically different results. In conclusion, knowing the players personally is not a clear advantage. |

mostob: abeg calm down... Wait till list is out before starting your 'local coach' campaign. I am not talking speculative and starting a supposed campaign. You can't campaign for something that is already Iin existent is proven and established and is part of our history. We also know what our local coaches have done in the past. Several NFF coaches have been indicted but still welcomed back. That in itself should tell you something. So have our coaches changed just like our politicians and become , righteous, honourable, self- less, and of unquestionably integrity ❓ If you think they have then, let's assume they see something that experienced coaches across Europe , including Arsene Wenger could not see. But if you know as we say , how we do, then we are back to business as usual. |

I can give Osimhen benefit of doubt, because no be today he begin dey play for us. I cannot give Dennis same, because normal normal, I never sabi am like that
If you have been buying something from one trader for 5 years, you cannot give him the same leash as someone you only started patronising 6 months ago Do you know Osimhen and or Dennis personally ❓ Because unless you do ,it's impossible for you to make that kind of deduction. I don't know any of these players but I do know how football clubs in Europe operate. And I can tell you the biggest problem Dennis has, he is not media savvy and lacks understanding on how to manipulate the media. Both Osimhen and Dennis have done the exact same thing. Just presented I very differently. Regarding the bold, Osimhen is a beneficiary of undue favouritism and got into the SE without really doing anything in his club at the TIME. Osimhen used national team selection youth and senior to progress his career. |

Many don't realise how difficult it is to make good connection with the ball with your weaker foot.
Salah and Messi have two of the most useless right foots among top players.
So from his weaker foot, we have to manage the crosses coming from that left hand side. Do you know how many player's deliver pin point crosses and shots with their so called weaker foot. That's not a good excuse |

They don't want Onyeka, one of the best midfielders in Brentford to start? There has been long History of our local coaches and the NFF pursuing agendas based on conflicting interests.
