Tolulopefinest:Rumours he is going to Arsenal coaching staff. |
oloriooko:You have to show world class ability irrespective of your team. Critically speaking he offers everything defensive as a DM but nothing offensive his passing range doesn't split the game, that's the key point and his shooting from distance is not impressive. For example Sergio at Madrid is a CB that adds so much more offensively. Trent is right back defender or wingback whatever way you want to look at it. But he has one of the highest assist rates in the EPL. These are the unique attributes that put above everyone else and make you stand out as better and World class. |
KC is coming in to make a difference after Ayoze offered nothing. Leicester have nothing to loose they have to go offensive. It could be risky Kane is looking very hungry. |
seankafor:Very simple he is the coach. And any forward player in modern game MUST be able to play a number of forward position. Finally, l call it player development, being only able to play just one position with proficiency is not an advantage. |
TheLoneCitizen:Leicester have flattered to deceive l said quote some time ago that the EPL is not a sprint but a marathon. And towards the end I said they will struggle to maintain 6th position. Currently they are getting schooled by Tottenham they can't cope 3-0 at half time and two goals by Kane. And quite a few here say they don't rate Kane. Modern footballers of high quality can finish with instinct both left or right foot. This should be a basic standard. There was a time l think it was a requirement in the U17 Golden Eaglets, but l dont think it's the case anymore. I see coaches right from age 10 in EPL academies making sure kids have two feet proficiency, by the time they get to 16 it's become natural. |
jihday:Bournemouth AFC forward players Josh King Callum Wilson Stanislas Jnr. Arnaut Danjuma Dominic Solanke He was never supposed to be their key source of goals. They paid £20 million for potential not yet realised, he had after 21 games scored one goal for Liverpool. They expected him to be a lot better than he is and he is a great disappointment. They should have got a proven goal scorer with Danny Ings but they did not. Solanke was not even rated by the coaches we were all shocked when we saw the transfer fee. All l can say he was well marketed. |
TheSuperNerd:Your being Superdelusuional again and the bitter pain of my constructive but VERY TRUE CRITICISM is giving you sleepless nights. I will indulge you today. Perception is not fact and either is it a truth, what is constructive to one person is bitter rancour to another, that's you. But a wise man takes correction doesn't scoff at it. Flattery doesn't precede success but constructive criticism does. I was very clear at that time, He wasn't good enough AT THAT TIME actually quite poor and technically naive AT THAT TIME. I advised he should drop a league to Bundesliga 2 and or a less competitive league and re-invent himself. That's is to learn understand, appreciate, develop and improve. My posts are there for all to see in context with dates. From Belguim league to French league and hopefully too Seria A, all within two seasons is exceptional progress for any player. He still has a lot too learn his schooling is far from complete. He has played one season and 3/4 of a season of first team professional football. Getting a big contract is the first stage and very difficult to do. But to meet the expectations associated with such huge contract in Seria A for a young player with top level consistency. That's going to be the biggest challenge. |
Nicheey:Agreed without reservation. Where are they now, they seem to have been disbanded. These guys did some exploits and would never retreat in the face of the enemy. |
gamaliel9:When Osaze Odemwingie came to the EPL to play for WBA he barely trained and was in the starting line up. The rest is history. Rhian Brewster left Liverpool fc to Swansea on loan by the end of the week he was playing his first game. Now 18 games and 9 goals later he is one of the first names on the team sheet. Oviemuno went to both Rangers and Reading he was literally a starter from day one. Professional players prepare and train with or without a team in readiness to perform. Those are unjustifiable excuses. |
Danielnino00:Absolutely yes AT THAT TIME. And then told him what to do about it he did and see where he is TODAY. |
andrewbaba44:"Wetin concern me" Money brings in better players that's a fact that cannot be dismissed. Huesca will struggle to attract the better players in league two they simply cannot afford them. That's a fact. I want you to look at the quality of managers you have in the Championship and a good % are foreign for instance Marco Bielsa manager of Leeds. Why do they come, to make a name and the fact that these clubs have money to spend in the Championship. Below screenshot about Okazaki who was released by Leicester once his contract expired. But back to your proposition, that Huesca will beat MANY clubs in the Championship. Please name them. I actually don't know one club they will beat, l mean in football anything can happen but if we look at individual players on paper. Again on paper by pedigree and quality it's very difficult to see which team they will beat. Okazaki went to Spain and Malagasy but they could not afford him and then ended his contract after a few weeks. Off the record he was not good enough. So which EPL club made an offer for a 33 year old player that was a poor striker. Then which Championship club because l don't know any.
|
andrewbaba44:It takes a bit of time. You know l looked at the entire squad, now look at the number of loan players ( i don't know if they even pay thier wages) then look at the number of free transfers, then look at the very few transfers they paid for. You will be shocked. I did not know you could run a club on a shoe string budget like that. Irrespective of the style of play, money brings in better players this is the reality. Now compare Huesca budget for players to Sunderland in league one. |
mostob:Athletico Madrid have based thier team strategy on compact defence giving up possession to the opponent but hitting on the break. Liverpool got outfoxed by them. It's a tactical formation and approach it may not be a preference for a lot of fans but it WORKS and it's not pleasing to eye but it WINS GAMES. |
TheGoodJoe:Stats are not conclusive they are indicative. Manchester city at a stage became CLUELESS all thier outlets were blocked forward players did not know what to do or where to go. Arsenal hit them HARD on the break they just played like Athletico Madrid. Created a wall that they City could not find a way through. Arteta outfoxed the Fox, pupil schooling the Master. |
IDENNAA:He has been struggling to regain form for 5 years when will he get it From Eredivisie to Eerste ( Dutch 2nd tier) to Youth football at Porto now in the Segunda at a poor club that is filled with loan players, free transfers and retired players. What form is he finding please youth football form. Because after 5 years of playing the sum total is your form and there is simply None. |
rabzy:Agreed without reservation. When you take out the money all the dynamics have changed. Why is KC languishing doing nothing for the past three seasons the money. Look at his transfer fee and wages. Who is going to buy him in the EPL knowing that the return as a striker will be very poor. He can't go anywhere because nobody will pay him the same money. Paul Pogba came with great expectations big money more expectations. You must PERFORM week in week out no excuse. Isaac Success is own case is another level indiscipline and bad behaviour. He will be on at least £30k a week. Which team even in La Liga will pay him that money to do nothing. He will stay in Watford intl the last day of his contract. Ozil situation at Arsenal they don't want him but who is going to £350k a week for inconsistency and very limited impact. They are stuck with him until contract expires. |

Mumble jumble of suggestive nonsense. You jump from one topic without conclusion and then you anchor yourself on your own self created assumption. With regards to managers comments they should be taken with a pinch of salt. When the managers views and comments do not converge with commensurate actions. With regards to KC Brendan Rogers is saying in one hand that KC is an excellent player bla bla and all kinds of accolades. But never plays him, what does that say to anybody very clearly , who has common sense of deduction. ❓ Now you compare that to a Manager who eulogises about a player and is playing the player constantly at every opportunity even when not fully fit. That player in a playoff game scores two goals and they win the game and his team are in the final for a play off place. In the final he gets them a penalty and they go on to win, how perfomances instrumental to thier victories. And you want to rubbish him, buy why, to what purpose. For you information 23 year old Fred Onyedinma started playing in the Championship at the age of 16 and indeed got his first MOTM award as a teenager. He has played 4 seasons in the Championship and has had 7 years of first team football. He has been wanted by a plethora of EPL clubs in the past. And you are saying why didn't l talk about Nnamdi and l asked you why you didn't talk about Akinfenwa. If you don't know the common sense answer go back and read my posts with regard to players. And if you still can't fathom why ask other people on this thread to explain to you, who have used common sense to deduce my consistent approach to players appraisal. |
Danielnino00:Your clutching at straws very desperately to prove false assumptions and a false narrative you have created by yourself. My constructive criticism is very clear and my past posts and he took my advice and the results are his current ascendency. Maybe it's PAINFUL TO YOU HOW RIGHT I WAS. You will just have to live with it. |
andrewbaba44:Memphis Depay as you know flopped at Manchester United. Well Do you really want to talk about Falcao there is nothing to report, it was shambolic for him his time in the EPL. But Depay has gone to French league one and essentially ripped it. |
maidaboi:What is the relevance of Fred Onyedinma to this discussion. Nobody has given him any accolades and or called him an SE prospect in recent times. But you are trying to it seems cast aspersions. But why ❓ Because of what. Nobody us using past youth glories of 5 years ago to say he is a potential this or that. What's your point ❓ ❓ |
andrewbaba44:Name them oh make we see. |
BascoVanVeli:You are still clutching at desperate Dan straws when you use Wikipedia. And shamelessly trying to change the goal posts. Post calling the kettle black. What's the issue here the very dishonourable act of negotiating with one club and very dishonourably simultaneously engaging with two other clubs. The pertinent question and issues is simply that Pogba was not flirting with three clubs at the same time as he was negotiating his contract with Manchester United. There was no loss of honour and or integrity. Forgot to add, How can you even bring Sanchez into the discussion. His contract was another to finish in a matter of months and he would go in a free. He had refused to renew at Arsenal. To salvage matters Arsenal took in Mikhtarian from Man United. And if I'm correct Sanchez became the highest paid player in EPL history with a mind bogling £600k a week. All of these examples have no similarity or comparison with the Victor Osimhen situation and all the posturing, claims and counter claims signing with one club but entering into engagement with two other clubs it's simply DISHONOURABLE. |
IDENNAA:After 5 years of football mediocrity he will hit form. He can't even say he helped Huesca get to La Liga where you are called in to a game at the 89th minute. Particularly when you are not recovering from injury. It says something very strongly about what value is placed on you as a player by the Manager. You really cannot dress it up. But of course the double standard favoritism shown to him is on this thread is incomparable. |
Edopesin:I am talking in general not specifically about a single player. I would expect Chuks to be on the least a minimum of €10k weekly |
Subzero047:Newcastle has a low threshold for quality players and just don't use thier finances judiciously. Ademola is better than Atsu who is all speed and no end product. But Ademola need to prove himself at this level as well. Newcastle will give him plenty opportunity to play and prove himself and or fail woefully. Meanwhile that his £28 million transfer fee has to be recouped so I dont see Newcastle being too keen. |
elunico:Why would we talk about Nnamdi when the topic of discussion is Fred Onyedinma, can you explain Oga 2 know. You just jumped in to allege and denigrate you can't even restrain yourself. And back to you, why did you not talk about Akinfenwa ❓ Should l not say you are being tribalistic, if l had your level of reasoning. Thankfully l dont so l cannot jump to that conclusion. I will leave you with two screenshots for you to read (one by his manager) and reset your parochial view that's blinded with emotive prejudice
|
Edopesin:I can't talk too much about Spain because l have not had direct involvement. But l have seen young African players with €25 million release clauses getting €2/3k euro a month in Portugal top teams. Now for me the Spanish are first cousins to the Portuguese so l expected more but not a huge amount more. I know they pay peanuts in the Segunda l had dealings with Cadiz. |
Subzero047:But so also are Fulham. |
Philosopher1979:Preference is not a unit of measurement, so your preference for a style of football is not indicative of quality. I based my deduction on finances and quality of players in the team and league. Which you can easily by looking at market value of players of which half the players or more are loan players. So how did you come to your conclusion. Please do not misquote and create false words l did not say to underpin your argument. |
seankafor:That's not the subject our subject is Boko. If you were stuck in an isolated forward camp and Boko were coming, who would you rather have protecting you. The Chadians or the NA. |
Toju200:Go back to February 2015 to be specific Boko was running wild and holding territory and we still had not dealt with the international embarrassment of the Chibok girls. It was before the Elections and Goodluck had been made to look highly incompetent at the TIME. The Chadians were invited and it is well documented. They advanced so quickly and indeed we stopped them from advancing any further. National pride I presume. There are those who are here who can give us even more details about how they advanced into Nigeria at our request. As well as for how long certain areas were under Boko control before they were uprooted by the Chadians. So what is it that gets you so angry and indignant about the Chadians. |
Texman21:I watched a TVC political news programme it's anchored by two prominent journalists one is called Jide. He was being very diplomatic and said the Chadiansoldiers are more experienced, are more battle hardened, have greater moral and are much more effective with thier limited weaponry in dealing with Boko. And we really need thier assistance in this fight against Boko. And he ended with " l did not say the Chadians are better than the Nigerian army Oh !!! " Anytime the discussion of the Chadian military ls comes up there is no attempt to appraise the submission being made. But buy many an immediate hostile indignation with intent to denigrate and dismiss the capacity of the Chadians. But why❓ As if we are enemies, the same enemy we call on to help us, it just doesn't make sense. |
