CultureRe: 10 Most Powerful Kings In Nigeria by komzy589(m): 9:42am On Nov 23, 2025
Ruke1991:
All those kings you mentioned are powerful in your eye because they are connected to your tribe or because you are limited in knowledge. Their level of influence is local to their domain. For a full list of high ranking kings to boost your knowledge beyond your local culture, look at the list below. These kings have influence over separately different domains

SOUTH SOUTH
1) Oba of Benin
2) The Orodje of Okpe
3) Asagba of Asaba
4) Olu of Itsekiri
4) Obong of Ibom
5) Amanyanaboh of Opobo
6) Obong of Calabar
7) Ovie of ughelli
cool Dein of agbor

SOUTH WEST
1) ooni of ife
2) Alafin of Oyo
3) Alake of Abeokuta
4) Awujale of Ijebu land
5 Owa of Ijesha Land
6) Soun of Ogbomosho
7) Olubadan of Ibadan
cool Ewi of Ado
9) Deji of Akure

SOUTH EAST
1) Obi of Onitsha
2) Eze nri

NORTH WEST
1) Emir of Sokoto
2) Emir of jalingo
3) Emir of Zazzau

NORTH CENTRAL
1) Emir of Ilorin
2) Ohinohyl of Ebiraland
3) Tor Tiv
4) Attah of Igala
5) Etsu Nupe
6) Aku okar of wukari
7) Gbongwon Jos

NORTH EAST
1) Lamido Adamawa
2) Shehu of Borno
3) Mai Kanuri

Speak for your culture if you are not knowledgeable about more popular kings outside your culture. There is no such thing as one king being more superior to another simply because they are from a large ethnic group. That doesn't make them powerful
Ovie of Ughelli, seriously?
I be Urhobo/Isoko from Umolo and I nor even know say Ughelli get Ovie.

You were only masking your hate and disappointment with PSR 😂😂😂..

No worriy, I go buy calculator give you make you take dey count una money..

Shameless!!!

Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that 😁😁😁
PROFITABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY IS EVERYTHING .
PSR is not just for the owners to calculate. It’s for everyone because that’s how you lose home grown talent.
Why do you think Chelsea sold Conor Gallarga and Mason Mount?
Why do you think Man U sold Mctominay?
Why do you think City sold Cole Palmer?
The answer is PSR.
A few years ago, these clubs would never have sold those players because the owners have the money and don’t care.
Fans will be angry at the club for selling without knowing this vital information.
Most dumb fans like you don’t know this.
Your eyes go clear.

How does this NONSENSE you wrote connect with the point I raised? Who's talking about the richest people or do I look like I am here to chest-beat?

I am talking about taking big events to the eastern region so that people and businesses can benefit from it and you are here chest-beating this early morning!
Your naivety is making you see facts as chest beating.
Igbos are the last people I will be beating my chest for. I was only educating you on why Igbos are much in Lagos.
It is not completely down to their decision to station there.

SmartPolician:
I don't understand Igbos' obsessiveness with Lagos State. You don't see northerners even holding wedding in Lagos or Abuja. They take it back to their region - Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, etc. Guests fly to those states to attend the event. When rich Igbos want to have their weddings, it must be Lagos. I don't understand this level of obsessiveness!
You are very naive.
Every rich person in Nigeria has something tied to Lagos because of location. Igbos have the most richest folks in Nigeria because of their business inclination.
If these people, not just Igbos stop paying taxes in Lagos, the place will be a grave yard.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Cuts Power Supply To Niger Republic by komzy589(m): 10:38am On Apr 17, 2025
TimeManager:
President Tinubu is a very smart man. Sometimes, you don't need to beat a child when he's crying aloud, he will keep disturbing the neighbors with his noise. You rather wait for him to sleep, wake him up then give him the appropriate punishment for his offence. When the Junta took over and the President sanctioned him, everyone was pleading with the President to reverse it which he did but after some months passed, he has cut their power again and nobody can fault him for it. I think it was last month that the junta sent people to beg Tinubu to help him with fuel crisis in his country. A head that will collect knocks, even if he travels to space, he will still collect it. That's the matter of the Niger Junta.

-Kiss the truth!
I can’t believe I read this from start to finish. I was hoping to find something sensible. Utter nonsense.

What's the plan of Atiku and his so-called coalition? Is it a ploy for power to return to the north just 2 years after the South has enjoyed it? Atiku needs to calm down. Power will be in the South for the next 6 years or more.
As a Southerner, I'd rather power returned to the North than having a clueless and corrupt Southerner in charge.

PoliticsRe: Trump’s Erratic Policies Responsible For Fall In Crude Oil Price – NMDPRA by komzy589(m): 9:51am On Apr 16, 2025
malali:
Let’s stop pretending.

The West sold us overpriced loans, wrapped them in the packaging of “development,” and sat back smiling while we bit the bait. But here’s the catch—they control the global levers: currency valuation, oil pricing, IMF strings, and credit ratings.

Now? They’ve pulled the oldest trick in the playbook:

Crash the very commodity we rely on to repay the debt—oil.

So here we are:
• If we pay in crude, we now need to hand them double the barrels just to match dollar value.
• If we pay in cash, we’re paying back loans with weakened currencies at higher interest rates.
• And guess who controls both the oil benchmarks and the financial institutions? The same gang who wrote the loan terms.

This is not bad luck, it’s strategic. It’s chess. And we’re still playing draft.

Every move has been designed to ensure they win on both ends:
1. High-priced loans at dollar-denominated interest.
2. Crashed commodity prices so we drown trying to pay it back.

This is economic double harvesting.
This is neo-colonialism in a digital suit.
This is financial imperialism disguised as “free trade.”

They have modernized slavery—not with chains, but with spreadsheets.

And yet, African leaders show up smiling at summits and photo-ops with the very architects of our poverty. What they don’t realize is: we’re not guests at the table—we’re on the menu.
Us against the world mentality.
If you do better, you will not just deserve better, you will get better.

hotseat:
For fear of being tagged a Tinubu apologist, one would have told Nigerians, especially members of the opposition political parties, that Tinubu's second tenure is a done deal.

All the indices are in his favour!

First and foremost, allowing a Northern to take over the reins of government in the 2027 presidential election would be viewed as anti-South.

Buhari, inspite of his first term of dismal performance, was "voted" in for a second term.

Again, bringing in another Southerner to replace Tinubu would be counterproductive and not in the best interest of Southerners as such a president would be entitled to just one term in office.

Equity and fairness demand that Tinubu be given the same opportunity.

I come in peace!

@hotseat
So where’s the place of electing someone that is good enough for the job, regardless of geopolitical zone?

South south we don't play politics of emotion, sentiment or bitterness nor hate.

We want development for our region.

Even the North and south west wants same development.

Only the south East play politics of bitterness and hate.

Tinubu will complete his 8yrs so he can finish all the good projects he started.
In South South, we don’t support incompetence. If you’re not good for the job, step aside.
If the Presidency is only going to happen in South South, Tinubu will lose 2027.
Let me reiterate that he lost 2023 presidential elections in the South South because we stand for competence, not ass licking. Your type is just a few corrupt ones in the bunch.
Tinubu will not even win Akwa Ibom State.

PoliticsRe: PDP Governors Opposing Coalition May Be Working For Tinubu - Dele Momodu by komzy589(m): 8:24am On Apr 15, 2025
seunmsg:
Dele is nothing but an idiot. It is unfortunate that characters like this are the ones parading themselves as opposition leaders. Spineless folks who can’t get their acts together but prefer to blame Mr. President for their incompetency and buffoonery.

When Tinubu’s attempt to put a coalition together in 2011 failed, he did not go about crying in the media or blaming anybody. He got to work and tried again in 2015. By 2013, APC was already formed. That is how to show seriousness and competency.

Instead of getting to work, this fat pig and his desperate sponsors prefer to cry and drop Tinubu’s name everywhere. If PDP governors don’t see any sense in joining the SDP coalition, why blame that on Tinubu?

Even by mere common sense, why should the governor of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa, Osun and
Enugu leave a well structured PDP that gave them victory to join a gang up of desperate power mongers in an irrelevant SDP?

Make it make sense to me. What will an Atiku presidency offer Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu and Bayelsa that Tinubu is currently not offering? Why then should they join you in your stupid coalition of hatred?
Even a blind person will offer those States far more than what Tinubu is offering.
The traitor from Rivers State did not leave PDP before he formed a coalition with Tinubu.
The Governors will remain in PDP but support one opposition candidate for presidency. Anyone who’s against it is definitely with that traitor from Rivers.

Does it need to be the most vicious crime before I can call it out for the crime that it is? undecided

2. The only reprimand necessary when a crime is committed is for the law to handle it accordingly. Why do you not want the Law enforced in this case?🤔

Let me put it another way for you. If a policeman came up to your mother or son and beat him up, would you equally frown against having legal action in that case? 😩😩😩

3. So, asserting that the Law should be allowed to take precedence is considered being Judgy? Would you equally consider the case if you or your mother were assaulted for free by a policeman tomorrow? 😩😩😩
Your analogy is inapt.
I believe she deserves a retrospective punishment.
Her intention was to teach. She did it the outmoded way.
Nowadays, we have punishments like detention, assigning unpleasant tasks, timeout, even removing from class, but she chooses to do it the old way which is now called an assault. You can’t crucify her for that.

I don't really believe that the desire for a better society is shared by a substantial number of Nigerians. When Nigerians pray for change, they usually pray that the change only happens for them even if at the expense of those around them. That is a country full mostly of people who don't want a better society. undecided
Ok I’ve been following your post from the beginning and YES, the woman is wrong to hit that little boy for not grabbing her lessons and all, but is this the most vicious thing you’ve ever seen.
People’s intentions could be mixed up with their approach, and she’s been reprimanded for it.
After this, she’ll know better but you need to pipe down with the judgy attitude.

We live in a time where kindness is taken as weakness and is prone to be exploited util you are financially, physically and emotionally drained.

Learning to say No even if you can help is ultra important...abd that is what to naturally kind people feel as wickedness.

The disadvantage of being kind all the time us that you unconsciously teach people to remember you only when they want something...and once they unconsciously label you as that...they will never turn up for you when you are in need even if they have the means.

This December I just dey ignore all the different requests wey I dey get...and it will be like that for a very long time.

It's time to focus on me and me alone. Takers never stop taking.
You make it sound like giving is the only act of showing kindness.
Poor people with nothing still show kindness.
