There are two ways of looking at it. Either the Madrid defence was very good, or the Barca attackers were below par. It's more likely a combination of both. But on those two goals, there was just so much space around Pique, if you charge Ronaldo, he can easily dribble you and get one-one with the keeper, if you stop him from cutting inside, he would go to the byline for an easy square-play. The positions Ronaldo and Asensio took their shots from, were not easy positions and it took something special to beat the keeper from there, especially Asensio. Definitely, Pique might have done better, but those are not what you would classify as defensive mistakes.

2nd and 3rd goals came froms counter attacks and they were very brilliant finishes anyway, so there's nothing Pique could have done. When an attacker has that much space to exploit, he would come out on top most of the time. It's not even like they dribbled through Pique and entered the box to score.
