INEC does not have the power to ignore a court order or judgement.

It can't even ignore the order of a magistrate Court, let alone that of a High Court, the Court of Appeal, or the mighty Supreme Court.

INEC's problem is usually around confusing/unclear or contradictory Court judgements where it has to carefully decode exactly what an unclear judgement means.

If a court judgement is clear, INEC has no choice, it must follow the judgement 100%.

The supreme court did declare Mark the authentic chairman. If you can learn to read between the lines and decipher coded language.

The supreme court nullified a decision from the court of appeal which is a higher appellate court to the high courts.

The FHC cannot come to any other decision when and if it hears the case again. Only people who support evil are opposing the supreme court judgement.

Compulsion does not have to come from the courts. The constitution and the electoral acts compels INEC to do the right thing.

Have you forgotten that INEC is just a referee. An impartial referee at that, regardless of who appoints the chairman.

Note: Referring the case back to the FHC is just a formality from the supreme court. The judge of the FHC will throw out the case formally. That's what the supreme court asked him to do. It was out of respect for the FHC.

Ever heard of democracy?. It's a game of numbers. There's no association of persons where agreement is 100%.

Election will be held and INEC is compelled to accept the executive that was elected.

However, besides party politics, BAT is in charge of the security and unity of Nigeria as a nation. He must hold that high in any thing he and APC want to do.

Do you understand the SC judgment. It is for David Mark to go to Fed High court and face the trial which is what they have been running away from. The judgment is in favor of the owners of the party and not those who want to take over by force.

The matter is NOT justiciable. It's not a matter for the courts. No court will handle it again. That is what the supreme court judgement implies in my own view.

Nafiu Gombe Bala, Dumbebi Kachikwu and the rest of the former executive members of ADC were present when the David Mark led executive were elected. They participated. Even collected monetary settlements. They were satisfied until APC, Wike and Tinubu came with bullion vans.

INEC has zero rights in deciding who is or will be the chairman of a political party. If the supreme cannot make that decision, how on earth do you think INEC can. It's strictly an internal affair of any association of people.

That is and was the right decision. Nothing to applaud here. Freedom of association and movement is a fundamental human right enshrined in the constitution.

ADC should now go to work in full force. We want a free and fair election. If Tinubu wins again, no problem. We shall all accept it as long as ADC and PDP are allowed to participate fully.

Regardless of the obvious partisanship of the leadership of the supreme court, they are old and mature enough to make the right decision.

They must stay away from internal affairs of political parties. Faction or no faction is the business of political parties to resolve all over the world. Nigeria should not be made a laughing stock. Pressure or no pressure, only one outcome is justified.

They plan to field separate presidential candidates like MC OLUOMO for Accord party.
