Politics / Re: Igbo Contribute Immensely To Lagos Prosperity — Jandor by koning: 8:48am On Mar 08, 2023 |
Those markets he mentioned are just a fraction of Igbo contributions to the development of Lagos. What will the Apapa wharf be like without Igbo importers, clearing and forwarding agents. The largest Tank farm at Apapa was once owned by an Igbo man- Ifeanyi Uba. Not to mention the Igbo industrialist and real estate moguls based mainly in Lagos. Igbos helped develop Lagos Island. Politics or not, IGBOS REALLY HELPED DEVELOPE LAGOS. That's not to be disputed. Facts are facts. It's not always tribal or ethnic Politics. 1 Like |

Devil1Messenger: LEGITIMATELY RICHER THAN TINUBU.. That's the key word. Tinubu can afford to throw our stolen billions here and there because he never worked for it. I don't recall him owning or running his own business before he became governor of Lagos state. However, the case is between Labour party and INEC. APC is not a party to the suit. Let me see how Mahood will bribe the judges. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: New Naira Notes: We Have No Information On The Supreme Court Ruling - CBN by koning: 8:29pm On Mar 04, 2023 |
FreedomArmy: The Supreme Court has no business in this matter. The CBN is 100% in charge of how we bank or don't bank in Nigeria. The money deposit banks are right in waiting for an official directive from the CBN. They cannot act on online news reports. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: Lagos Is Yoruba State And Yoruba Land- Yul Edochie by koning: 8:24pm On Mar 04, 2023 |
This is coming from someone who moved to Lagos in just 2011. Mr. Edochie, just shut up and face Nollywood matters. Do you know that some Igbos and other tribes in Nigeria are 3rd generation Lagosian?. Which means their Grandfather or mother was born in Lagos too. Never you compare Lagos with Anambra in any cosmopolitan sense. Lagos is a city if migrants, some of whom are from other Yoruba states. |
Politics / Re: Presidential Poll: Atiku, Obi Head To Court As Tinubu Pledges Fairness by koning: 10:31am On Mar 02, 2023 |
livinbygrace: Ode!. He has only one vote. Besides he can only cast a deciding vote when there is a tie. I believe there are 7 judges at the Supreme Court. He is the 7th one. His main task is to preside over the proceedings. |
Politics / Re: How Foreign Press Agencies Reported Tinubu's Election Win by koning: 10:18am On Mar 02, 2023 |
None of them found the election credible. SHAME TO INEC AND BUHARI. 400 billion down the drains. |
Politics / Re: Presidential Poll: Atiku, Obi Head To Court As Tinubu Pledges Fairness by koning: 10:11am On Mar 02, 2023 |
madridguy: The collation of results was horrendous. We all agree. However, your point above was what GAVE APC the win. The ego trip and greed within the PDP was just too much. There is no way they could win the election with a 4 way split. ATIKU should never have been nominated. If the election is done again in the present formation, APC will still win. With even a bigger margin. Tinubu will recapture LAGOS. OBI SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE PDP FLAG BEARER. Wike remains an IDIO.T. |
Politics / Re: 25% In FCT Not A Requirement To Emerge President – Falana by koning: 3:57pm On Feb 28, 2023 |
Those people arguing whether FCT has the status of a state or not are missing the point. It does not matter what status FCT has. THE BONE OF CONTENTION IS WHETHER IT IS COMPULSORY TO SCORE AT LEAST 25% VOTES IN THE FCT TO BE DECLARED A WINNER IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS. That is the question that will be before the courts. It's untested. It could be mere semantics or technicalities, but the use of the word "AND" in the construction means a lot. The constitution is SUPREME. 1 Like |

FatherOfJesus: Na dat 25% be the problem. Falana is talking about outright win in the FCT. He did not and could not address the 25% prerequisite. It's an uncharted territory. |
Politics / Re: 25% In FCT Not A Requirement To Emerge President – Falana by koning: 12:16pm On Feb 28, 2023 |
If not that prof. Nwabueze is too old now he is the only one I will listen to in this issue A renowned constitutional lawyer. The Supreme Court has to clarify this clause. Is it 25% plus FCT. Or 25% and FCT. Wahala dey ooo. |
Politics / Re: Peter Obi Wins FCT Presidential Election by koning: 11:24am On Feb 28, 2023 |
kingsways: You have a point here. When I saw the kind of people queuing to vote in all NW and NE states, I knew Obi cannot win. Some people that voted there have never seen a smart phone before. All they know is Buhari and "E PHI C". 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: Tinubu Wins In Benue With 310,468 Votes by koning: 11:18am On Feb 28, 2023 |
burp18: PDP shot itself in the foot. ATIKU should NEVER had been nominated. It was a gang up against Atiku. TINUBU DID NOT WIN, ATIKU LOST. Tinubu must show gratitude to OBI and the G5 governors. Especially Wike, Ugwuanyi and Ortom. Ugwuanyi even sacrificed his senatorial seat to Labour. |
Politics / Re: Tinubu Wins In Benue With 310,468 Votes by koning: 10:19am On Feb 28, 2023 |
It just seem the whole exercise was geared towards ensuring that ATIKU does not become president. Obi contested PDP primaries, lost to Atiku, then joined the Labour party. Then the G5 governors split from Atiku after the primaries. Atiku is the fall guy here. Obi simply prevented him from winning. Well, I prefer TINUBU to Atiku anyway. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: Tinubu Wins In Benue With 310,468 Votes by koning: 9:31am On Feb 28, 2023 |
Let's not forget that APC is the ruling party. It's not entirely unusual for their candidate to win the presidency. I just hope Tinubu will not do a 'YarAdua' on us because I DON'T WANT SHETTIMA ANYWHERE NEAR THE PRESIDENCY. No Atiku either. We all preferred Obi. But if we can't get OBI, we will settle for TINUBU. A Southerner. He just needs to work on his health and speech pattern. We are in very uncertain times. A Supreme Court drama is loading. 2 Likes |

kk2027: I am shocked at what is happening. After all the money spent in ICT for the election, some greedy and unscrupulous GOVERNOR will collate results manually and send to Abuja. Wike of Rivers state should be shot. He is such a dumb, uncouth fella. There is no way APC won Rivers state. Serious trouble looming. 2 Likes |

Thanksful: Exactly. Some Yorubas think we don't want Tinubu because of his tribe. Far from the truth. He is just no fit, competent and healthy enough. Ugwuanyi also lost in Enugu. Chimaroke would have lost too if his LP opponent was not killed. Igbos have never been 'Hero worshipers ' . 1 Like |

Cchuks27: Ode!. You should learn to see things in relative terms. Obi got 428,640 in Enugu. But Tinubu got 449,884 in huge Oyo. Oyo is the biggest state in SW. However, Obi got almost 100,000 votes in Oyo, while Tinubu managed 4,000+ in Enugu. Do the math and tell me who won overall. 3 Likes |

Thedon22: You're a fool with this your myopic way of thinking. Obi has more stake in Lagos than Anambra. Just like most of us. Do you think Dangote, Rabiu and other business moguls don't have more stake in Lagos than their home states?. Who is developing Eko Atlantic city?. You think Chougry and Co don't have more stake in Lagos?. I will advice you to return to Ondo asap. 1 Like |

Yea right ....mitcheeew. The same way Obi will clear Enugu and Abia. APC will be lucky to 1000 votes in the entire Anambra state. |
Politics / Re: Obi’s Votes Overtake Tinubu’s In Lagos by koning: 9:45am On Feb 27, 2023 |
My only regret is that LP did not field a heavy weight politician for the governorship election. If they did, Tinubu's influence would have been totally wiped out. I never heard of that Rhodes Vivour until now. Can you imagine if Otedola came out for Labour!?. Lagos is ripe for a complete take over now. 4 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Tinubu Wins 10 LGs In Ogun by koning: 5:58pm On Feb 26, 2023 |
It's to be expected. What LP needs in such states is just the 25%. APC will not get up to2% in Enugu. Meanwhile Petet Obi is moving towards his 25% or more in Lagos. I am.not one of those that think he can win Lagos. He simply needs Lagos to bulk up his numbers. |

Yamiriflathead: We will, after you migrate to Ondo or Oyo. Most of these urchins are fvcking migrants from Osun, Ondo, Oyo,Ogun etc. Igbos are doing business in Kano, Zaria and Maidugiri. Talk less of Lagos which we co own. Go and investigate the real owners of houses in Ikoyi in the 50s and 60s. Before the war. Better wake up from your dreams. |
Politics / Re: Senior Lawyers Condemn Buhari’s Open Display Of Ballot Paper by koning: 8:58am On Feb 26, 2023 |
I see it differently. I think it was calculated. He showed he voted for Tinubu inorder to discourage others from voting for him. He was pretending to be a party loyalist. Deep down he want Peter Obi to take over. He is very much aware that Nigerians do not want to associate with anything or anyone he is associated with. It was a final nail on Tinubu's coffin. 1 Like |

Moh247: So why is he sending thugs there to burn ballot papers. He has not got majority Yoruba resident areas in the bag either. From the look of things, he may lose the entire Lagos Island. Or win by a very tiny margin. |
