What I observed is that most people that complain seriously about tax issues don't pay tax before and are not ready to pay. Also, u will think it's a bigger amount until u hear of 5k 10k per annum. So how much is that per month?.

What you don't know is that many Nigerians do pay some form of tax at the local government and state level at the moment. Most traders and market merchants pay tax. Though, it's a flat tax, it's still taxation.

Besides the federal govt collects a lot of levies and fees from million of Nigerians. Not to mention indirect tax through the Customs and VAT.

Therefore, the federal govt should not impose any form of additional taxation at the moment. You don't expect unemployed young people to pay tax. Did you give them a job? They must certainly not deep their hands into people's savings. That will not augur well for the Tinubu administration.

In Nigeria and Lagos state in particular, you can find 'illegality' anywhere you specifically look for it. Go to Ikoyi, Ikeja, and even Banana Island, you will find illegality.

Lagos state government should proceed with the undoing demolition of illegal structures in line with the sustainable development goal as quoted. It is not only igbos that have buildings that were demolished in trade fair complex. Why igbos making it seem as if Trade fair is an igboland been demolished by the lagos state government. Few weeks back, a lot of structures were demolished at Oworoshoki and no one tribalised it. Likewise, many illegal structures were demolished across lagos but no noise was made about a particular tribe been targeted.
Why only igbos? Are they in only tribe in Lagos? Must they always play victims whenever government policies affect them when it in truth affects every citizens?
Lagos state government will not be blackmailed or intimidated in carrying out it's legitimate duties to ensure a safe, health environment for the good of every lagosian.

You are comparing the shanties and batchers being demolished at Oworonshoki with the multi million naira mansions demolished at the Trade Fair complex.

The main point is you'll never hear a Yoruba disrespect his host or called their land "no man's land" or claim to be the one that "developed" it. Yorubas integrate and respects their hosts.
