I don’t know for certain but I believe the coalition shouldn’t throw open their primary. They should agree on a presidential candidate and running mate and hold a congress just for formalities.

However, I recognize that if a primary is thrown open, Atiku will get it. But I can assure you that Obi won’t be part of that arrangement.

In the end, the success or failure of the coalition is in the hands of the drivers. Take Obi out and the coalition is dead.

Any attempt at primaries will be seen as a ploy to choose Atiku. There should be no primaries.

When APC was formed out of a coalition of CPC, ACN, ANPP and a faction of PDP, Buhari was simply selected and ordained by Tinubu.

Politics and ethnic jingoism aside, we, the people of Nigeria need to give Peter Obi a chance.

He will run Nigeria like a "Trader" which he said he was. This means no wastage and every kobo will be accounted for.

Corruption is the weakest link in the development of Nigeria. Obi can handle that because " Him no dey give shishi" apologies to Father Mbaka.

Who is "Sarki".

We are not blindly campaigning for Peter Obi. We want a team that will fix this country for good. A team to lay a good foundation for the future.

Tinubu is a disappointment. He also has health issues and far from energetic.

Tinubu won because Atiku and Obi split their votes. The margin with which Tinubu beat Atiku was minimal.

The best option now is Peter Obi for President. El-Rufai for vice. Or another Northerner is chosen for VeePee, while El-Rufai becomes Secretary to the Federal govt.

They have nearly 2 years to perfect it.

Quite frankly, Obi as Presidential Candidate with or without the coalition will not give Tinubu the needed headache he truly deserves.

He was 3rd in last election with virtually minimal vote from NE and NW. Only NC and FCT really voted for him.

If he is selected now, with the backing of Atiku, El-Rufai and co. Tinubu is as good as gone. Wike will never be allowed to do what he did in Rivers again. Never. The coalition can penetrate INEC too.

I see where this is going.

Obi/El-Rufai for 2027
Then
El-Rufai / Amechi for 2031.

Atiku should play a statesman's role. He should not contest again.
