Most atheists are critical thinkers, in fact their choice of atheism is typically a result of deep rumination. Also, most are learned and economically advanced. You would agree with me that it is difficult for poor men to be atheists; that is the reason why atheism thrives among people in advanced countries.
For example, they rarely have to pray for electricity, school admission etc.
Expatiating further may be misinterpreted, as some people may interpret it to promote ethnocentrism.
I am not an atheist, but I have seen the pattern atheism takes.

I noticed Jesus Christ is the most controversial figure. alot of people love him however some hate him. Ironically the Roman Catholic Church of today was from the same Roman Empire that executed him. even though he was not a political figure nor did he fight wars, a lot of people hate him with passion. Recently there has been a lot of controversy about thiting in Nigeria. Now aside the scriptural requirements of thiting, there are other "common sense" reason as to why a Christian who goes to church should do so.
1. The church is being sustained by thites and offerings.
2. Missionary activities are also are being supported by same Thites and offering.
3. Government do not support the church financially.
4. New church building are built from such funds and other donations gotten from Thites and offering from other churches and ministries.
5. Churches blown down by bombs and anti church activities are rehabilitated with such funds.

Lastly I will like to appeal to the public that tithing is a Christian business and not subject to debate by non Christian and anti Christian likewise. Tithe is not tax and not everyone who go to church pay their tithe. Attacking thiting is attacking the thiter's faith as he/she is doing so from their personal fund and as such it is their private affair with God.

this question has baffled me for a long time. Most atheist today were Christians or from a generation that was once Christian. is it safe to say they are Christians who backslided or couldn't cope with persecution or they are just angry with God because their prayer was never answered?

They claim to believe that God doesn't exist yet they attack only the Christian and jewish God. now my question is what about Hindu gods for example, are they implying that only the Christian and Jewish God is genuine? And if that is so why not believe in him or is atheism hatred for God and not just disbelief? I'm confused.

I’m sorry that you feel this way. For most atheists, the objective is to enlighten religious people rather than to insult them. Christians talk about hating the sin but loving the sinner. In the same way, most atheists dislike religion, but they want the best for religious people.


They are not after you. They are after the unjustified beliefs that prevent you from enjoying your life to the max and allowing others around you to do the same.


They are angry with religion, which confiscates your time and money, dictates what you can and cannot do in your life, makes you intolerant, and offers only worthless promises in exchange for all your painful sacrifices.
