mi 2010:You got some points there. there are an endemic corruptions in Nigeria and I also think things are not going well there. But we should also wish our countries well. Living in another countries is not always the best and not all that easy too. I have met some people in Europe who wish they never come to Europe to live. There are some challenges and difficulties one are bound to face in another country. Your home country will always be the best for you to live if things are going on well there. |
I do not really what you want people to say to you on this forum. That you should divorce your wife because you think she is possessed. To be frank with you there is no marriage without problem. What matters is how you solve your problem. Divorce is not always the best option once the non of the partner are cheating. You may be having problem with your wife because you are not working. Maybe because you depends on her. As funkybaby has rightly said you need to get job rather than pursing another degree. Experiences matters most. I believe once you have job and start contributing to the family then things will be alright. Secondly, you dont expect the lady to treat you like Nigerian girls. Nigerians girls are more submissive. Going for divorce really prove that you married her for the P that you said you already have. Of course, I dont have problem if you married her for the P because I believe also that every marriage have a purpose or reason. But that should not warrant you to go for divorce merely because you think she is possessed. Anyway, Funkbaby have a good message for you! So take time and read her message! |
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN LIFE! mi 2010:Your impression or intentions is not really sounding good here. It is good that you have accepted to take the good advice some are giving you here by going to further your education in Europe. But you are still sounding like it is not the education that you are interested in. first you have to understand that the education is the foundation of your career. Second you have to concentrate in getting a good education and believe that this will determine what I will be in future. After your education you will think of what to do with it. Opporturnity can be anywhere. It does not really matter where you sometimes. You can get a good offer in Nigeria after your education and you can get it anywhere too. After your master degree in Europe you may still end up not getting a good job in that country and in your home country you may get a better offer. There are people with master degree in so many part of europe without good job. As Justwise has said you may end up not going to convience the consular that you are coming back to you country because you are sounding desperate, which will cause your visa. First get your student visa then you will know what else to do. some people after their education get a job offer then get a work permit. Yeah, people get married too but nothing is so easy as you think it. There are so many policies in europe which sometimes make things not easy for immigrants. Good luck!! |
valoval:Congrat for your success! But I have to also say that I hope this message is not serving an encouraging message for Nigerians to migrate to Europe either by Land without visa or even by air with unsuitable visa. You may be one in hundreds that really make it. Hundreds of people are dying on the way and this is really bring disgrace to Africans. Secondly Today was not those days that it is easy to get integrated or make it in Europe once you enter good countries in Europe. There are a lot of policies introduced by EU states and many of EU states are tough on immigration. For instance, as you said you have a wife, which i guess is an EU citizen. It is no longer possible to get married an EU countries without the proper visa and documents. You must leave the country to get married. So people here should not understand it that they can change their status by just simply getting married to EU citizen. There are so many rules and regulation that apply to that. |
It is quite suprising and shocking that the alleged bomber is a Nigerian. I never believe that Nigerian fanatic Muslim can have the heart of going outside Nigeria to perpetuate that act. As someone has rightly pointed out here that this is not issue nationality but religion. I quite agree with that. There are so many other suicide bombers from other countries. I want to point out here also that this also raised so many issues. For instance, American embassy in Nigeria was aware that the guy is a potential treat and they did not withdraw his visa. why was that? To my mind I think this shows how much America embassies in all over the world are much interested in economic accept of a visa applicant than some other factors. Knowing full well that America has so many enemies around the globe. According to the information we had the guy's dad was former chairman of First Bank Nig plc. and of course the guy should be well off. Let us remember that the visa is not just 1 week visa. that it was issued since 2008 which means America embassy in London or even anywhere dont look at the security policy and social policy of any applicant. Once you have this money you can fly to America. Most international bombers are being financed hence they can fly and lodge in a expensive hotels etc. Which is better to have a rich suicide bomber who will kill so many people and damage property in your country or to have a poor person who will want to struggle to make living or even depend on your government for living? Therefore, I think American embassies should review their visa policies. Even this guy's name ring bell as a potential suicide bomber. just kidding. ![]() |
If you live in a city where Nigerians have bad image then you will surely face the consequence. Like the guy that said he couldnt renew his permit in his city. That is part of the consequence many innocent Nigerians face in such a city. Apart from this, as a black man you will sometimes meet people who will treat you bad just because of your colour not really because you are a Nigeria. Also, people who would think they are much better than you just because of the colour of your skin. Always, with this notion that blacks are ignorance and illiterate. I personally distaste this kind of people whenever I meet then and I never give them chance to treat me that way. I would rather show the person that he or she is the person that doesnt know anything. personal experience is that I have been in some places that Nigerians have bad image and I as well face the consequence and I have also encounter people who are racists. So, OP just be prepare for those kind of stuff and your instinct to handle the problem. you will face this problem mainly at the airports, immigration department, embassies, and sometimes in your work place or even your university. |
Remember, you still have limit of courses to apply for. You can ONLY apply for 6 courses for undergraduate programme. I think if you are using online application you can make the application once and the send one cover sheet for all the courses. Each courses code i think should appear in one cover sheet then you can post with the supporting documents. Gonna check that myself later and update you. |
pius4luv: pius4luv:you can only apply for the courses you think your are qualifed for. you cannot apply for masters programmes when you dont have first degree. you should start choosing your course from the undergraduate menu on top. your cover sheet is the comfirmation you recieved after applying for course(s). So you should print it and post with your documents. Good Luck |
3rd and 4th step.
|
Whizzkido:follow the instructions in the attached images and see how far you can go. Good luck
|
pius4luv:your question had been answered before. so visit this link. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=347042.msg4858366#msg4858366 You can only submit one application for all the universities you wish to apply for to the address you are refering to. You always make changes in the course you will choose. Good luck. |
There is little or nothing an agent can do for you in registering in any university in Scandinavia countries. Expect like someone said if the person is computer illiterate. Every information is posted on their websites. Of course, you can apply with your waec and Neco result provided you are going to provide them with scratch card to check the result themself. And for those in Master level your transcript must be sent from the university. In Sweden, Norway, and Finland it is still free tuition until they will officially introduce a tuition fee for foreign students. But if you already gain admission into any university, you will not be affected if they introduce tuition fees. Admission for 2010 session open from 1st December. website! www.studera.nu. Goodluck! |
MRbrownJAY:seconded! He should go for this |
NordicRace:it is still a proposal which is not yet formally adopted. And since it has not been officially adopted, if you start your programme on 2010 it will not affect you. Some are saying they will start implementing it until 2011. |
If you are really and genuinely searching for education in Europe that has low tuition fees. Then, you can try Eastern Europe. The only problem with some Universities in eastern Europe is that they can help you to waste your time in you aren't serious in your studies. I mean some of them dont care if you are doing well or not. So it depends on your seriousness, you can also acquire good education. You can also try Scandinavian countries which are tuition free apart from Denmark which I think are currently charging foreigners. Mind you, if you are not doing well in your academics in Scandinavian countries, you will be out of institution and you may not extend your visa. Of course, in most Western Europe Tution fees are very high. Good luck! |
First, I must say that the personal information you registered should correspond with the info in your passport. you are right i think you cannot change some personal information after you have registered on the internet. but I have some suggestion for you, if you have not submitted any application yet then cancel your applicaon and make a fresh application. of course you should change your email address in case your email is registered in their database but all other information should remain apart from your correct date of birth. Second, You can write to them to inform them of the mistake on date of birth so that they can change it themself. Use their contact link in their website to contact them. Good luck! |
Maybe I didnt understand your story clear but I think you didnt understand my reply too. the word 'if" I used in my reply was a general statement. I am not saying your package is not missing. but I am saying that you should put more pressure on UPS in Nigeria. They are in best position to explain to you what has happened to you package. I understand clearly that you said you package was tampered. Which I stated in one of my initial post that you are just a victim of corrupt country. I have had similar problem but in my case it was just a delay of package and it was just between eu countries. I have to be phoning the courier service in the sending country and they assumed me that they will track my package and inform me in due course where it was. Which they did and I finally got my package with an appology from the country it left and not from the recieving country. |
To my thinking, UPS London or Ireland can do little or nothing in your case. You can only ask them if they have recieved your package which they already told you no. The call from London is to let you know that they dont have your package. In most case I know you have to resolve the problem from the point of delivery. They are the people who will account for your package. If your package is missing they are the one the sender must put pressure on to find out where the package is since it is a registered mail. If the claim to have posted the package, the sender will question and demand for comfirmation of the package being in the final destination. Even if the package is missing along the line maybe in London, it is their responsibility to track down the package and inforn the sender the status of the package. This is part of the agreement which both them and the sender agreed upon before sending the document. Good luck! |
@ Vicjustice, I think you are just a victim of insecurity in a country. And I still think this is one of the major problem Nigeria is facing. It is not UPS per se. It can happen with DHL or any other courier service too. The content of the package was really the problem. and in this case if you wish to send this kind of document from Nigeria make sure you go to their main offices. The chances of tampering with package is very slim there because they know the consequences and may not want to try that kind of stuff. But in some of their branch offices, a staff fully aware of what is inside the package can still decide to tamper with it and believe he or she will run away after that. Well, as it had happen, you are in the right direction by sueing them. UPS in Nigeria should be accountable to all their staffs irrespective of where they are located. Good luck in finding solution to your case! |
@ naijaking1, I'm certainly glad you understand. there is no need to make issues in this case. Both of them were right. And I dont think they should have exchange of words among themselves. Personally, I understand what both of them are trying to drive at and they are right. You need some medication and some other stuffs. And of course, you will get most of the medication over there in Nigeria main cities. For example the malaria medicine is not common in most European countries if you are in europe. And of course, you need to buy gifts for the people you left home for 15 years ago. But dont buy those cheap phones they are out of date in nigeria. lol!!! just kidding!!lol And what I understand from the other guy. some people think Nigeria is still one 'primitive village' after they left Nigeria. of course, 15 years was a long time and so many things must have changed which is good that you asked your questions. I have a friend who spend only 3 years without going to Nigeria and he thinks that nobody in Nigeria has a laptop that once he go to Nigeria he will show off his laptop. that is very big mistake on some people. I agree we are not yet civilized but that does not mean there are no much more people out of 120million in Nigeria that dont know the latest lifestyle and fassion. so, you just bear in mind that lifestyle and even some culture must have change in the area you come from. My only advice is that in your case, you should maintain a low profile and monitor what is going on around you. In that regard you will find out who is who in your area. And as discussed in this forum several times being abroad does not mean the person is better than people at home. Have a safe trip and enjoy your holiday! |
Sure! you can apply for several programmes at different universities in Sweden with just one application.
|
You should ask the consul if there is any opportunity for appeal and if there is any then, they will give you the guideline for an appeal. But if they do not grant you an appeal you can only reapply if you think you are qualify for the visa and it is always good to include new documents to support your re-application. Also, if they give you the chance to appeal it is necessary to include a new supporting documents. Good luck! |
babaowambe:in that case it is much easier. Although Ireland and UK can really take some time in processing visa. They (UK & Ireland), many atimes dont usually follow or abide to the EU law on freedom of movement of EU citizen and their family member especially when it comes to non Eu spouse. Which state that member states should facilitate the issuance of visa to non eu spouses. Nevertheless, the will issue her visa but if not you appeal which of course you will win in as much as it is not marriage of convenience |
The information you supplied is not enough. meanwhile, I assume that both of you are non EU and also that she is applying for resident permit. In most EU countries apart from UK and Ireland it usually takes between 1 - 3 months depending on the documents she submitted. In some cases they have to verify these documents and can take alot of time. If your wife has submitted all the necessary documents and that they are genuine you dont need to worry about time just relax they will issue her visa. Many atimes this people can be very slow. Good luck! |
I think asiwaju has been wasting his time and energy on smoothman who cannot understand his right or left as regard to travelling abroad. If you read all his post on this forum, non of them were straight forward. It is all full of deception and he is naive. I can understand he is desperate to travel and of course he can go about that in whatever way he want it. |
mobuch: mobuch:what is the different between these two highlighted phrases. that is really good one you are based in different places at the same time. |
@olymyk , I think you got the message wrong, the message is not against anyone travelling abroad nor for the rich travelling alone to overseas. I think it is quite clear that people should stop giving their hard earn money to fake agents. Of course there are few accredited agents. But I must say here in the case of Nigeria many people do not need agent to process their visa. I for once never use any agent for visa and I am not from rich family. I have seen so many Nigerians that Agents has collected their money without doing their job. Gone are those days that you can travel abroad without proper documents and you will make it. For instance, in Europe there much controversy about immigration. Therefore, if you come to Europe for example without proper document you will regret it and many atimes going back will not be a better option for you. Instead of giving your money to agent who will not get this visa for you then it is better to do it yourself as OAM4J mentioned in his message. @OAM4J it is a good job for you. to add as regard to documents embassies will required. It depends on why you are making the trip abroad. For instance, if you wish to study abroad, you google search for universities in that country and check for their requirements and if you can meet for their requirement then you can apply for study there. they will send you all the necessarily document that you need for visa if you meet their requirements. If you are interested in going for programs like conferences then you can google it and register for the program or conference. If you are looking for work then you can search for work and apply if you are lucky then you will be employed. If you wish to visit then ask for invitation from the person you wish to visit. BUT if you dont have anyone to visit, I can understand most embassies in Nigeria will not give you tourist visa without invitation. this is when you source for invitation letter and in this regard you can ask a good agent or someone you know invitation. they may charge you for invitation which I think may not be expensive. With these ways you can get your documents. You can process a visa with an Agent but make sure that the agent is for real. But I must warn you that a visa with agent is NOT guaranteed. It does make any different if you have those documents and process the visa yourself. As regard to bank statement, some embassies can accept sponsors bank statement but if they dont then the money you wish to pay to agent put it in a bank and then use it to apply for visa. You can always back up your application with other documents. Remember you must have a genuine reason why you wish to travel and prove that to the embassy. Like Austin okocha the guy mentioned, he or the agent that process his visa had to prove to the embassy that he wished to play for a club in Europe and have played some local clubs in Nigeria. I wish you all the best in life! |
easyvisa:you are NO 1 disgrace to Nigeria. To my opinion you are one of the laziest person I have ever heard of. You are in Ireland and you dont have a legitmated job. All you do is to look for Nigerians that you dupe. Even those who are wise scammers dupe foreigners. Nobody is jealous of you. most of the people you attack here is not in Nigeria. Even those in Nigeria, am sure should be better than you. My advice for you is that if you are corroborating with an agent in Nigeria it is better you stop it and look for good things to do in Ireland. English is one of the spoken language in Ireland and yet you cannot find a legitmate job for yourself. |
smoothman:All these is bullshit! your relative should help you with visa without you paying for it. 500k is alot of money. What kind of documents will someone you call your relative will procure with 500k just for visa. secondly, if your relative live anywhere in Europe he cannot tell you that you will get work permit with the just one month visa. it is not easy to obtain work permit. of course he or she can help you get job which is illegal if manage to reach your destination. your story sound too good to be true. it sound more of scamming to my mind. the person said you dont need to pay anthing until visa is out. of course that is what he or she will tell. In the course of getting the visa he or she will tell you that your visa is almost out that they need some money to pick the visa. He or she will show you some documents that will make you believe him or her. Also, he can decide to get a very easy visa to you and tell you that your relative or whoever will come to pick you there. so be careful! |
ebealways:Of course, you can get south african and Kenya visa for people. But the issue here is do you tell this guys the truth that there is nothing they can do in south africa or kenya if they are going there to hussle? I know as well as you do that Nigeria is not yet good for people to be going on tourist visit abroad. it is only a very few people that does that. And I still believe that Kenya and south africa is not yet a business country for nigerians. So why on earth will you want to get south africa and Kenyan visa for people who you know will suffer in that country. You may be telling them that it is easy to obtain south african passport and from their they can go to Australia and so on. All these makes most tour agents in Nigeria a bad one and gives them a bad name. World cup is next year so why now. does it take so long to process south africa visa! I do not know you but I have heard much about tour agents in Race course. Many there are to dupe people and push them to countries that they will waste and never come home to disturb them. if you are honest in your job then good luck for you! |
davidsoj:of course it is going to affect him very much. he dont dare tamper with any stamp in his passport. of course any good country he applied for visa will detect that. so your pastor could be suspended to visit schengen countries for 5 years if detect. by the way your pastor has failed the people he is leading and also God. and again do your pastor want to run away from his flocks that he is desperate to travel. He better remain in Nigeria to tend his flocks. And you that use the word shalom, do you know the meaning and what it entails? if you do, then why will you say or write bad about someone. |
yeah, I understand now. although, I know anything is possible in Nigeria. but as justwise said it is better to discourage ppl from patronising this guy. can you imagine that difference in the amount. Visa they are not even sure. and it is bad for US embassy to make easy or possible for touts to hijack the appointment schedule. |
