ThatFairGuy1:Eye service is a disease and mind you, i have lived in the tri state maryland, dc and virginia. I have also lived in in ny, rhode island and kalamazoo michigan. What you call pot holes in nigeria would be called craters in north america. You told me to shut up because we are in a public forum, so was i suppose to express my self in a private forum. The problem of this country is that we only complain when it affects us personally. I'm sure you do not live in that vicinity that's why you opened your odious mouth to spew rubbish. |
I weep for this country. |
SOJOSEPH:Why would he be a bastard by showing what needs to be fixed. To have good roads in other developed countries is a norm and not a privilege. If it is truly your fathers house you would point out where the problem is and look for a way to get it done. We are not saying that they are not trying but they should strive to do better. |

Where do we go from here |
lexy2014:I am supporting your stance while adding my own views. |
lexy2014:There are no saints in this country but opportunists. Show me someone doing something good out of the goodness of his own heart and i will show you an agenda. Our activists and idols are mostly greedy self serving and very arrogant in private. This is one of the reasons i love mandela, he truly fought for equality of the black race and the integration of all races through peace in south africa. He did not only win the admiration and respect of the people of south africa but the respect of the whole world. He never dreamed he would be president, but the nation saw a leader they were ready to die for and no one in nigeria even comes close. Is it MKO Abiola, Ahmadu Bello,ZIK,awolowo or anyone of our former leaders who never truly loved this country. The only person that comes to mind is probably fela, because even with his percieved baggages he still spoke the truth regardless o the consequences. |

allthingsgood:She has only been married twice, Akpabio was trying to be sarcastic and mischievous when he said she had married four husbands. What Akapio is saying in other words, is that he is still married to his wife while Joy Nunieh has been married twice and both marriages have crashed. |

To be continued |
This woman has only been married twice, Akpabio was just trying to be funny in a not so funny kind of way. This woman is from a privilege background, she is a trained and professional lawyer. The problem i see with Joy Nunieh is not that she is promiscuous, but is that she is head strong and it will take certain type of man to really settle down with her. A man that does my mind being regulated to the back and does mind not being in control. This woman slapped Akpabio and still had the guts to tell anyone willing to hear. You know some men find strong and assertive women attractive. |
Will the minister honour tomorrows invitation |
we must unite to fight this scourge |

Sexual Harassment is something that happens in Nigeria mostly in our place of work or if you are still young in our schooling environment. It can also happen in your neighbourhood and while it mostly happens to women, some men are also victims of sexual harassment. In our tertiary institutions female students are mostly harassed by male lecturers for sexual favours to pass them and some are even flunked if they refuse to comply with their wishes. Some female students are given carry overs because the lecturer has decided to punish the student until she complies. In the work place managers and people in upper management can hold your promotion or even sack you if you refuse to play ball and comply with their wishes. At least we know its openly practiced in this country but people rarely talk about it. In Nigeria of today we see no evil, we hear no evil, but the evil is being committed. Now lets talk about government and see why i want to fault the nigerian women as their own worst enemy. For the first time in history you have a woman Joy Nunieh an Ex Interim Md of NDDC accusing the Minister of Niger Delta Godswill Akpabio of trying to sexually harass her. You have to understand Godswill Akpabio is not an ordinary man, he was the former governor of Akwa Ibom for 8 years, He was the minority leader in the 8th senate and he is now a serving minister so people like him are rarely told no. This man commands respect and only a few people can stand eye to eye with him and deny him his wishes. I also believe Godswill Akpabio when he said he did not sexually harass Joy Nunieh because she did not let him. He attempted , she rebuffed him and gave him a dirty slap. People in power find that kind of thing exciting because they usually get their way and it now becomes a challenge to see if you can make the other person adhere to your wishes. To me i expected the minister to be more vocal about the slap, because you can make an advance on a lady and she can take it the wrong way, but for her to come out and say she slapped him and he did not comment on that particular act then something is wrong. Its like saying you tried to sexually harass her, she stopped you by slapping you while assaulting you at that particular moment. Although this fight should be about accountability and the advancement of the Niger delta people, the women should come out to support one of their own because this platform is showing a strong black woman standing up to one of the biggest godfathers in the south south. Imagine if an Md in the NDDC can be sexually harassed at that level that means no woman in this country is truly safe. Women are the bedrock of this country,When it comes to elections their votes are the deciding factor, we look at them with the motherly eye so we tend to believe them more, so our women should do the needful. Nothing ventured nothing gained if our women can not unite to make a statement to let everyone know that no matter how highly placed you are in the society our women will no longer tolerate harassment in the work place. Many women going through one form of harassment or the other can know they are not alone. If we can come together for black lives matter in Nigeria for something happening in North America, we can come together to say to no to rape with no means no then lets also try to stop sexual harassment in the work place. |

Way Forward. |
Exclusive101:So what you are saying is that any woman in your family that ventures into politics is a potent prostitute. Now i see why some people have decided to leave the thugs, ritualists, cultists and pagans to run this country. With this mindset how can our country cure itself from the disease that plagues its existence when its citizens are the main problem. Not all women are wayward and not all married men sleep around. Every thing in this country is political from getting a good job, going to a good school and your advancement in society all depends on who you know. Since my brain is functioning at a higher level than yours, i now understand why we can understand each other. While i am a person that see's that the glass is half full and can see a better nigeria depending on how we decide to move forward. You are a person that see"s that glass is half empty because you generalize everyone for other peoples mistakes. |
