I was just passing by my neigbourhood the other day, as small beautiful white cat was following me. My first thought was that this cat is homeless and needed a friend, i wanted taking it along untill i met a neigbour who gave me a 6 hour lecture on how witches and wizards manifest in cats.

I have a couple of friends who are Catholics as well, so I can rightly say that the Catholics worship Mary. In the Bible, God made it clear to the Isrealites and by extension to all Christians today, that 'no one should make any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in the Heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them... Exodus 20: 4, 5 (The King James Version).

Psalm 115:4-8 says 'their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths but they speak not, eyes have they but they see not. naptu2: There is another very terrible angle to this story. The news of the deaths of these kids spread across Northern Nigeria. Since then, parents have been very wary of allowing visiting health workers to give their kids drugs. . . . Including immunisation.

This is one of the reasons (though not the only reason) why polio is a big problem in Northern Nigeria.
