The idea of living together for ever is what scares a lot of men, including me. That is why a guy can date a girl for 20 years and not propose.

Assuming a guy is working and has an apartment, and the girl is doing the same. When they get married, if they afford to maintain their apartments, why can't they continue living separately. The lady can come spend time in the guys house anytime but can go back to hers. The constant presence of the couples kills romance.

Even when the kids come, they can stay anywhere they like. I have not seen anyone do such that is why I ask.

The living together can suffocate someone. I am the type of person that feels like being alone sometimes. As the feeling of coming home to an empty house something is nice. Knowing that you won't have any visitors, no movement just you.

How do married couples living together cope with the lack of alone time? Some people will say you can have separate rooms, but that's not enough space. You can always bump into each other in the corridor.

Is that why most married men travel to chase contract? What of those that have jobs that don't allow them travel?

One can be married and still have that dating feeling, where you gf comes with a bag and you welcome her. She stays for days or weeks. And you drop her off in her house and return and still chat and know how she is doing. You can go and spend time at her place. You both have clothes in each others house.

Is it possible to be married and still maintain the dating experience?

One thing I don't understand is why you didn't tell him early enough that you had a boyfriend. Seems like you were leading the guy on and he's not going to leave you now, not until you stand your ground. Also "I'm not sure that's possible" is an answer any guy would like to try harder on. What happened to "Don't bother, he's the best guy on earth and NO ONE, NOT EVEN YOU can replace him" or something like that. There is something called emotional cheating. It's when u pay more attention to people on ur mobile (chats and calls) and get fidgety with the slight thought that ur partner may see right through you. Its when u r enjoying and being enjoyd by a username sending u messages and you begin to feel like you actually have something special with that person. All of a sudden, u begin to see flaws in ur partner. Yeah, dey become not-so-adorable and u find yourself comparing your chat buddy to them. You are doing it, dear and u gotta take care if not, ur relationship will hit the rocks no matter that u claim to love your boyfriend. A lot of people do this. They start out woth caution then it becomes 'fun' to a 'hobby' to a 'routine'. Either way, u r neglecting ur partner and by extension, ur relationship. A lot of young'uns are guilty of this.
