I think one person said those ppl at VFS cafe can help us book it with just 1500 cos my package is ready for submission

Mine too is ready. But if there are no appointment sits in the system, how then will they get one? In anycase I want to go to VFS today to see what the cafe guys can do to help, cos there are financial implications for me if I have to wait one month again before submission.

You are right but lost me when you mentioned Sprite. Look, the aim of every business is to maximize profit. No business would continue running at a loss. If there was no gain in Sprite they would've stopped a long time ago.

Yes, a company can continue producing a particular product even if they are not making profit from it, provided they are able to break-even and can cover for their variable cost. Even if Cocacola is not making profit from sale of sprite, they will rather continue producing to compete with 7UP rather than exit the market for them and they can cover up with the profit they are making from sale of cocacola, which is their cash cow.

By the way I am not entirely saying Cocacola are not making profit from sale of sprite. I only used that to support the need for facebook to introduce features of other apps on their platform to compete with them where they refuse to sell grin grin grin

There are no sentiments in business.
The aim of every business is to remain the industry leader. You can buy over your competitor's product or develop products to compete with theirs and ultimately take over the market and even kick them out!
Cocacola might not really be making money from sale of sprite but they have to keep producing it to have a share of the 7UP markets.

His monopolistic style is killing healthy competition and innovation: if he can't buy you over, he steals your ideas and makes whatever made yours attractive, well, less attractive.

Big Ups to the Snapchat dude for not letting Mark completely take over.

In as much as I love Zuckerberg's personality I think he is overreaching, trying to over-achieve. He is trying to make others do what he never did: sell his creation.

Hi Guys,
Completed my visa application and made payment yesterday and selected 27th July as Appointment date. Then went on the TLS website to register and equally made payment for the prime time appointment. However I'm yet to receive appointment confirmation email from TSL since yesterday. Sent them a mail twice but no response. Hope I can still submit my application tomorrow without the appointment confirmation mail?. I have my TLS receipt for prime time payment and Visa receipt from the UK website

Good day guys.

Please is there anyone that has successfully evaluated their credential from Lagos State Polytechnic?
Been trying complete WES evalatuion for over 7 months and not been able to get past the result confirmation stage. WES insist they have sent confirmation letter to the school, while the school contact are insisting that they have not received same. Contacted WES to atleast mention which department or person the confirmation letter was sent to but they are only giving automated response.

Anyone been in this situation before?

You killed your application yourself, you earn #175k a month after tax and you have presented an account balance of close to #10million or over and you expect such an application to fly? Sincerely I don't know who can turn this in your favor, probably you wait for some time before making another application, you can as well go to other places in between the wait

Yeah thanks, I had thought showing much funds could count as home ties for a single guy but now I know better...
No intentions re-applying soon though
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by koolkamzzy(m): 8:49am On Mar 04, 2017
justwise:

Your financial details does not add up, if your salary is N175K a month in a year you will be earning about 2.1 millions. So for you to have 6M in your salary account it means you have worked for 3yrs and saved all your income.

You did not explain the source of $4K £ss in your account that was why you were refused.

Thanks justwise
The account is not meant for salaries alone, its in fact my main account for some other transactions. It just happen to be same Bank my Company uses for staff salary. The money in the account has been there for over a period of time, not only from my salary. Also don't they consider that someone may have been working for a good number of years and could have saved up whatever fund they have in their account.

I couldn't explain the sources of the $4k because it was lodge in cash, I use it for speculation in the FX market. it's been there 6 months prior to the time I printed the Bank Statement, not like I just deposited it there for the Visa application purpose.

I had thought showing more funds and investments will serve as a home tie considering my situation as a single guy but I know better now. smiley smiley
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by koolkamzzy(m): 12:22pm On Mar 03, 2017
Sorry justwise and other gurus as this is going to be a long read

So yesterday I was refused a UK Visa (first time applicant) and reasons give as below:

I have refused your application for a vist visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:
1. You stated that you wish to visit the UK for 5 days and will be staying in Hotel in Peckam. You stated that you will be funding your own trip.

2. You stated that you are single and employed as a head of department at Bleep Limited earning N175,000 (£439) pm. You submitted following bank Statements in your name with your application - UBA account showing a balance of NGN 6M, a GT account showing USD 4489 and sterling account showing NGN XXXXXX. I note the healthy balances in all the accounts but these do not reflect the income and salary that you stated that you receive on a monthly Basis, nor are they reflected elsewhere in your application. I am not therefore satisfied that these funds are available to you and that your financial circumstances are as stated. This cast doubt on your credibility as a visitor at this time.

3. I have considered the evidence and information submitted in our application but I am not satisfied that you have accurately presented your circumstances and therefore your intentions in applying to enter the UK. This undermines the credibility of your application to the extent that I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor or intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit. Paragraph V 4.2 (a) (c) of the Immigration Rules.

While I do not intend to re-apply anytime soon because I can’t be spending money anyhow on visa applications but I will like some professional advise on the above reasons for refusal.

My Questions
1. My UBA account is the salary Account with Closing Balance of about 6M and continuous inflow and outflow of over 30M for the six month period. However my company pays salary twice, 50% to the bank at month end and 50% by cash every half month. So the salary inflow from my company is just half of the N175,000 which I have stated above. And I did attach a letter to explain this. So I’m wondering If the VO don’t consider LOE?. Secondly, I did not attach a payslip to my application, as my company don’t give same, except you have to keep disturbing the account guys. But I attached my Employment letter which states my annual income, Leave letter from the office and also a recent letter of salary review.

2. In additional to the UBA account, I attached a Dollar account of about 4k USD, and two confirmations of fix deposit from my Banks, with amount in Millions. So, I’m wondering if the VO is suspicious that I showed too much money for a salary of N175k per month?. Please note that I did state in my application that I get additional income of about N70K commission from the office, avg. N200k monthly interest from my fixed account investment, about 300K from property rent. All these were also explained in the LOE.

Any professional advise will be helpful for future applications.

sponsorship from your fiance will be okay as long as the person is willing to write a sponsorship letter and also state in the letter why the person decided to do same on your behalf, since you are not legally married under the law yet. An affidavit stating that the said fiance will also be taking care of all the requirements as regards funds during your stay is also going to go a long way and finally in my opinion to show commitment to the sponsorship, the person may pay part/all the tuition fees required, and also send some money to your account making sure the narration reads for either living and feeding expenses and in the narration.

please note i am no guru, im an ordinary admission seeker and all i have stated has been what i have read on here.

Thanks Bro!. i never thought of the affidavit aspect.
