Nice one Ambode.

This was one of the most vocal manifestos of one time Lagos State Governorship aspirants - Jimmy Agbaje. I thought it was mere political promise.

It is time I visited one of the parks to see things for myself. What if it's true, won't the parks be more jam-packed than Lagos roads during traffics. Lagosians love free things?

Developed countries really know how to handle criminals. By the time, they finished with you, you will automatically abhor crimes. In fact, you become a counselor against crime.

See mockery of a supposed billionaire and former govt in one of Nigeria's states, who was (and still to some) a celebrity in Nigeria. SMH...life is all but vanity

BusinessRe: Lady Returns N860,000 Mistakenly Transferred To Her Account (Photos) by Koolking(m): 7:07pm On May 23, 2017
obidevine:
Even in this current situation in Nigeria, some people are still kind hearted.

This is the story of a young lady that returned some money that was mistakenly transferred to her account. Her name is Zinny Adajiugo. She was minding her business when she received an sms bank alert. After a while the person called her and was begging her to return the money that he did it in error.
The story does not add up. My questions are:

How did the sender know the random beneficiary's phone number to call immediately when he realised he made a mistake?

She claimed to send the money in 2 batches of supposed N500k & N360k respectively due to transfer limit, how come the credit alert shows N860,000.00?

The girl is an attention seeker, looking for people to like her comment and perhaps for men do business with her - isn't she pretty with her sensual dressing? She's driving traffic to her page like common bloggers all for runs.

Nonsense for talking about moral upbringing when she had none.

Thistrendblog:
1. To remind us that the world is broken and groans for redemption [Romans 8:20-23].

2. To do justice in response to Adam's (and our) sin.

3. To remind us of the severity of the impact of Adam's (and our) sin.
Death and resurrection of Christ Jesus has already redeemed us from the sin of Adam. We are longer held ransom. Grace is now sufficient unto us.

Trials and Long sufferings are tests of faith of the believers. There's crown of glory if we persevere to the end

BusinessRe: CBN Makes SMS Alert Mandatory For All Account Holders by Koolking(m): 4:37pm On May 17, 2017
I feel SMS alerts should be freebies to bank customers, borne out of interests banks generate from customers' funds.

It will be a disservice if CBN forces banks to make it mandatory for customers to sign up for SMS Alerts. I personally de-activated SMS alert services on my account owing to inappropriate services by banks (they would send same SMS trice on one transaction and charged my accounts trice, and or delayed the SMS more than 24hrs after transaction had been completed, yet they charged for the late SMS. This action was seldom but it was not worth the charges. I decided to deactivate.

Making it mandatory to customers is dragonian

Nigerians are PAINFUL TO DO BUSINESS WITH. Here is what they ALWAYS SAY: “People are owing me. Please, I will pay you back when they pay me”. They always want to bargain down to the ROCK f-ING BOTTOm. They never wanna pay people their REAL DUES. They always want to owe. If they hire you, they love to boss you around, because they feel they are doing you SUCH A FAVOUR. They are painful to work with because they talk so much and want to bring in their over-socialization to work!
The above is very true. It becomes very frustrating doing business with such peeps in Lagos. Wondering if it's all over or just Lagos. My Igbo brothers are very guilty of this

Islie:
It was learnt that Ajuola , a student of Science Education , was allegedly stabbed to death at about 11pm on Monday at her off -campus residence.

She rushed to the kitchen and emerged with a knife with which she injured her fiancé. The man afterwards went to a nearby store, where he bought a brand new knife which he allegedly used to stab her in the breast and in the stomach. ”

It was learnt that a professor in the university, who heard the cry from the house, rushed Ajuola and Origboshe to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

I don't buy this news. It does not make sense to me at all. The victim lived off campus but the professor of the school heard her cry. Damn!

With considerable certainty, the reporter was in need of what to write to fill a space not occupied by advert.

MadCow1:
In my home, the first rule is; No HOUSE HELP/MAID shall be under the age of 21.

They must be paid employees (none of that let her/him stay with you in exchange for getting an education).

They must be treated well and never be beaten or insulted. If they err, correct them. If it becomes too much, fire them.

All Household employees (Drivers, helps, cooks and security guards) are a part of the family until proven otherwise as they can hurt you really really worse than an outside enemy can. Yes some would still be evil despite how well you treat them but I will rather treat them well and they turn out to be bad than give them a reason to be bad and feel the need to hurt me or my family.
Couldn't agree more.
CrimeRe: Maid Puts Rat Poison In Her Boss’ Food In Ondo by Koolking(m): 11:37am On May 08, 2017
This is exactly what wickedness begets. When you tell people maids are one of the most important members of a family and should be treated as such, most people dismiss that assertion and believe maids are rags and pigs and don't deserve love.

Your life and the life of your entire family is at their mercy, same with your gateman and driver. Treat them like you treat your loved ones.

However, nobody deserves to die no matter the gravity of their moral, social and human untowardness. The maid acted in extreme

The libelous piece has a trail online and I haven't see your master going after it in legal redress. Or is the chain he hangs about your neck too short for you to reach yonder?

You're still a tyro in mopping up political mess. And it's evident from your backwater logic.

Why do you seek cheap relevance at attacking innocent posters who only quotes established sources that could be easily reached to retrieve the "libellous" posts?

Political Pharisee!

i wasn't the person you quoted initially but i felt you were trying to threaten that dude for exsercising his right to freedom of speech. the internet and media provide almost everything we know about the government as we can not relate with them directly; and when you get a particular information from more than two or more sources it means it's actually true.

i don't care if you're an APC stan or a relative to buhari but this is democracy for fvcks sake. they did it against GEJ and nobody was threatened or arrested.
You don't prove a point online by making libelous comments as if it's the truth. Some get away, while some are not so lucky. The dude didn't show he quoted or culled the statement somewhere. Most media houses twist statements in order to garner public attentions and sell their news. We have to watch our vituperation. For the fact that, there is freedom of speech in a democratic setting does not mean we should go extreme by making careless statements. I believe in effective criticisms and not slanders. I am non-partisan but a Pro-good governance.

Peace!

[s]The poster you quoted cited a source for his claims and your reaction sold you out as either a Bubu fanboy or part of his backward administration that has failed to deliver.

Public offices have its perks and shortfalls, it's part of the full package especially in a democracy. From the UK to Ukraine it's same culture.
[/s]
Before you go threatening legal blizzard on citizens who cited sources for their posts and are merely re-echoing what the press has reported unchallenged, learn the legal standpoint.

[s]Your Buhari was mute when NYSC members were butchered in his failed 2011 election and that couldn't be isolated from his statement, " both the baboon and monkey will be soaked in blood". Or do I add: "I will make this country ungovernable if the election is rigged".

My friend remove your bias blinders from off your eyes[/s].
Oh dear! This proved how gullible Nigerians can be. The reason poo sells in Nigeria. Someone wrote a libelous piece somewhere, the next thing is for a supposed graduate to copy and paste, thereafter, swore he stumbled on the truth? He even has the temerity to refer us to his libelous source. Mehn, I can't comprehend. Audio source of the interview would have been just fine. These are the typical lazy and ignorant types who copy and paste all sort of unverifiable info on Whatsapp groups.

I do not thrive on hearsay but truth. If you are too feeble minded, tell your stories to kids, don't bring it public domain of matured minds.

There's no truth wheresoever. I dislike loose talks. We should shun defaming people even if we hate them. Same measure will not go down well with us. Sensational journalism is unprofessional journalism and the reporter is open to liability. Most of us Nigerians are so docile and so use to copy and paste without verifying information. We believe the information we forward to others s nothing but truth. How embarrassing!

Refer to the bold part of your comment, sir can you prove PMB actually said that? Otherwise you reek of hate.

There's a limit to freedom of speech, I must remind you. Quote right, it's pardonable, but defamation is a jailable offence. Some us just log into NL and start making comments we cannot defend. There's no law that will exonerate you from self ignorance caused by copy and paste. "Be sure you are right, then go ahead".
