Sanchez01: Real Madrid have a 3-1 aggregate lead going into the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
Zinedine Zidane's side secured a convincing victory courtesy of late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, though Ronaldo was sent off shortly after scoring and has since been handed a five-match ban for pushing the referee. Late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Marco Asensio, not Luka Modric as mentioned by Op, unless I watched my own on a wrong TV channel |

Sports › Re: Top 10 Premier League Transfers Of 2017/18 Season (100% Correct) by Koolking(m): 5:12pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
sirlekzy: Ahead of Arsenal’s home game with Leicester City in the curtain-raiser to the new Premier League season on Friday, AFPSport selects the 10 biggest transfers of the close season:
Romelu Lukaku
– Everton to Manchester United; £75 million ($97.5 million, 83 million euros) rising to £90 million*
After four increasingly prolific seasons at Everton, Belgium striker Lukaku has been given another shot at the big time with Manchester United.
Lukaku, 24, has been brought in to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic and will hope to do a better job of impressing manager Jose Mourinho than he managed during their time together at Chelsea.
Alvaro Morata
– Real Madrid (ESP) to Chelsea; £58 million*
With Diego Costa having been very publicly frozen out by manager Antonio Conte, Chelsea broke their transfer record to sign 24-year-old Spain striker Morata.
He made an inauspicious start to his Chelsea career by squandering his spot-kick in a Community Shield penalty shootout loss to Arsenal.
Benjamin Mendy
– Monaco (FRA) to Manchester City; £52 million*
Saddled with an ageing group of full-backs, Pep Guardiola found it difficult to play the kind of thrusting football he loves in his maiden campaign as Manchester City manager.
He has taken remedial action during the close season, most notably forking out £52 million to make France left-back Mendy the game’s most expensive defender.
Alexandre Lacazette
– Lyon (FRA) to Arsenal; £46.5 million rising to £52.6 million*
France striker Lacazette had been poised to join Atletico Madrid, only for the Court of Arbitration for Sport to uphold a transfer ban against the Spanish club.
Arsenal stepped in, breaking their transfer record to sign the 26-year-old, who was the top-scoring Frenchman in Ligue 1 in each of the last three seasons.
Kyle Walker
– Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester City; £45 million rising to £50 million*
The second of Manchester City’s three new full-backs (the other being Brazilian Danilo), Walker arrived from Spurs after Dani Alves opted to join Paris Saint-Germain over rejoining forces with Guardiola.
Walker’s flying raids down the right flank for Tottenham have turned him into England’s first-choice number two.
Bernardo Silva
– Monaco (FRA) to Manchester City; £43 million*
Portuguese playmaker Silva pitched up at City after his 11 goals and 12 assists inspired Monaco to Ligue 1 glory and a place in the Champions League semi-finals.
The 22-year-old is expected to line up on the right flank for City, as he did at Monaco, but is likely to have been earmarked as the long-term successor to his namesake David Silva.
Tiemoue Bakayoko
– Monaco (FRA) to Chelsea; £40 million*
The third player to have left Monaco for England, France midfielder Bakayoko will make Chelsea’s midfield an even more intimidating prospect.
Tall and muscular, the former Rennes player will provide a redoubtable physical presence alongside the buzzing N’Golo Kante.
Nemanja Matic
– Chelsea to Manchester United; £40 million*
Deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea following Bakayoko’s arrival, Matic moved to United to link up with Mourinho, who previously brought him back to Chelsea from Benfica in 2014.
A stylish but steely holding midfielder, the 28-year-old Serbia international will provide a counterweight for the forward runs of last year’s star signing, Paul Pogba.
Ederson
– Benfica (POR) to Manchester City; £35 million*
The goalkeeping situation gave Guardiola constant problems during his first season at the Etihad Stadium, with Claudio Bravo proving an inadequate replacement for Joe Hart, who was loaned out to Torino.
Guardiola moved to remedy the problem by signing 23-year-old Brazilian Ederson, who became the world’s second most expensive goalkeeper after Gianluigi Buffon.
Mohamed Salah
– Roma (ITA) to Liverpool; £34 million*
A bright light in a gloomy transfer window for Liverpool.
Egyptian winger Salah did not get a look-in during his previous spell with Chelsea, but he excelled in Serie A with Fiorentina and Roma, scoring 35 goals in 81 games.

Lagos state government needs to declare security emergency in Ikorodu and take decisive actions to smoke these criminals out. It negates the status of Lagos as a growing mega-city. Go with your babe. Internet is so poor there that nothing will distract her from the main event. Una go Lamba till body tell una.
Other things are the Beach front area which is very nice and quiet.
The Kayaks and peddal boat.
If you carry pikins go there is now a play area for them with swings and I think a bouncy castle.
I believe they had a tennis court or so.. not too sure.
Two swimming pools. One at the beach and one on the resort.
A deck sit out area (floating deck) that over looks the sea.
Poor cable tv reception in the rooms.
That's it..
So Inagbe n.a. where you dey go with your team. Get some couples together and plan a get away. Being drinks and anything else you want with you. Enjoy each other's company and then f.uck. You can make arrangements with the resort for things like a D.J, Massage sessions, BBQ and stuff. Thanks Madcow for the insight. I tell you, Whispering Palms has all the 'bold' attractions. Wakaholic: Lol. You can check their website and contact them on the numbers you find there. You can also find room rates there (it's btw 45k-300k).The charter boat was 80k/return trip. However, you can take a day trip and come back to town if you don't want to spend the night. It's just 15mins from Victoria Island. I would have included the link but not sure i'm allowed to do that here. A part from the cosy but outrageous rooms (300K/per night) and boat cruise, which other attractions are there to savour? I am having a re-think on my frequent get-away spot. Whispering Palms in Badagary has been my spot. It's next to nature and incredibly affordable. I need somewhere with mind-blowing aesthetic to switch lane. As an experienced visitor, whet my appetite a little more. Cheers |

Those areas deliberated upon have no positive impact on the good citizens of Nigeria. Thank God it was rejected by the House.
Salient issues were not touched. Shame!
Issues like removal of impunity and immunity bestowed on Governors.
Scrapping of Quota and Federal Character System.
Re-positioning or scrapping of Local government. Local Government in Nigeria is a 'White Elephant' with no real impact to the grassroot people. It's a financial hemorrhage and absolute waste of tax payers money.
Re-writing and re-modeling our laws to mete out appropriate punishment to the guilty as charged. With stiffer punishment to public office holders. Incorporating death sentences to embezzlement of public funds
Making politics and rulership (not leadership) less lucrative as opposed to the present day politics in Nigeria
Let start with a few issues mentioned above, other things will fall into place gradually |

SMH...GDP determines a country's economic prowess. When you compare the meagre population density of UAE to Nigeria, and if Nigeria was to optimally allocate and utilize her resources, we won't arguing over this. Cheers bro |

ernieboy: so we are supposed to take ur word which is not based on any record over facts on record. as for Dubai vs Nigeria economy, Dubai is not a country it is a city in UAE. do u know know how many barrels of crude uae produces in a day? Dubai is an emirate in the UAE. UAE as a whole is not richer than Nigeria. But the level of development in UAE makes Nigeria a laughing entity. We squander and mismanage available resources. UAE produces 2.9 million per day. Nigeria has production capacity of 2.5m. The comparison will be hugely flawed because the 2 entities can not be matched. Even with 2.5m per day capacity by Nigeria, a lot of endemic factors work against its optimum utilisation of these productions. |

Chukazu: Do you know what a trillion dollars mean? Our economy is not worth up to 2 trillion dollars How do you know Nigeria is not worth Trillion Dollars? How much is Dubai worth? Is Dubai richer than Nigeria? I guess, you are simply living in denial or ignorant of the system. As of 2015, Nigeria was the world's 20th largest economy worth over $1 trillion. This is on public record. Offshore clandestine transactions and deposits are not accounted here. Like I said earlier, you can only account for what you have on record. Do you know how much has been stashed outside the country (not in Naira but Dollars and Pounds)? Is $90 Billion even money compared to the desperate and lavished tendencies of our so called people in the corridors of power? They lavish these monies outside the shores of Nigeria on things not needed. Fleet of Private Jets, Estates to their concubines, cars , private securities, etc. Sheer wickedness unbridled, yet Nigerians are denying Diezani can't squander $90 billions considering one of the most privileged positions she occupied in Nigeria. |

I disagree with Freeze on this one.
It's very possible going by the level of corruption during the immediate past government. Fuel subsidy and Nigerian Oil/NNPC racketeer by the movers of the industry were drain pipes of the Nigerian economy.
There was so much unchecked corruption in the oil sector that Sanusi Lamido had to challenge his master and that cost him his job.
Trillions of Dollars were unaccounted for. Is it not when monies are deposited into federal government account that you can account for?
Am sure offshore transactions, accounts under taken by Diezani gave her out. |

However, Diezani's sin is not in any way greater than our daily sins. Jazzy should be more concerned about his own forgiveness than having this egomaniac feeling that his sins are far less weighty. |
