This is the quote everyone should be paying attention to - "non-oil revenue was declining". That means the real economy (not the rentier one funded by petro-dollars) is doing very bad. Soon the oil revenue itself will start declining - Mr. GEJ is riding high on those petro-dollars today. I hope his economic advisers are putting on their thinking caps. I hope states are saving up some of these earnings - because when "it" hits the fan - the calabash will empty out. CFCfan: Ngama said the rate in which the non-oil revenue was declining on a monthly basis would surely pose a threat to allocations to the three tiers of government. |
And what are you? Undiluted and uncircumcised Moabite? Tchewwwwww..... tomakint: You are right 'Gramci' here is one of the 'Chronic Haters' who call himself 'Koro owu' or whatever, now sod off my post undiluted and uncircumcised Philistine |
Your assertions on this thread that asking GEJ to commission a project is enough to claim it as evidence of "GEJ working" is the senseless statement. Call me all the names u want GEJ is a disappointment !!! tomakint: Especially that 'Koro owu' guy you are quoting, he could be so irritating in his assertions most times! You can easily tell, he is a psychopath, haba people can die on top nothing attimes sef |
Because I refuse to buy into the senseless propaganda? Mumu dey worry you. alexchiny: SENSELESS POST FROM A KNOWN BIGOT! |
Your reply should have been to provide facts on GEJ 's facilitation efforts so we can give him his due. You are the one that clearly claimed that this is GEJ working without stating how he facilitated it. I guess according to your logic every woman/man that opens a food store to provide employment is evidence of GEJ working. In reality these activities may be against all the odds of a GEJ presidency. Sincere 9gerian: When reports of rising unemployment rate appear, they blame GEJ. When reports of rising poverty appear, they blame GEJ. |
You better go and find your bearings. Do you think those two firms were built in the 2-3 years of GEJ's administration? You will probably find out that Fashola/Tinubu had much to do with facilitating these projects. That is why I advise people to keep GEJ from their projects because his loudmouths in the media have no shame in claiming these projects for GEJ. They are only inviting him to commission it - this is basically to honor him as the president, just like he was invited to the Eko Atlantic event. One thing though, he will at least get to see the non-work his administration is doing on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. That would be the second time in a couple of months after going to RCCG to collect blessings. GEJ probably will not attend this event anyway. tomakint: ...and this is happening under the watchful eyes of Jonathan (the one haters branded retardeen, Jonathan etc) while their Fashola with more than N30 billion naira monthly revenue cannot even address the flood menace in Lagos, many Lagosians are even relocating to other states all as a result of frustration from the capitalist-tendencies of the 'so-called best Governor' a.k.a Mr Eko oni baje, the same man who jerked up the school fees of LASU (a state-owned University by more than 200% |
What I am saying is it is all relative. You talk about manifesto, etc but we have seen none of these. The only thing we know about the party right now is a name and a convener that is already embroiled in a contract for political hire controversy. The connection is clear for all to see. Look before you jump!!! shymexx: I don't care about political parties, politricking, and realpolitik... and I'll give accolades to anyone who deserves it irrespective of the political party/platform he/she represents... |
E ye tan ra yin !!! Manufacture space satellite? You mean the higher purchase we did with UK and China on which some Nigerian engineers were trained is "manufacturing" ? Just like we are manufacturing locomotives with the hire-purchase with China ? solomon111: Nigerians already manufactures space satellites. |

UPN it is for now? And yet the only thing you know right now is that it is being bought and paid for by PDP. You sound cofused when u praise an ACN gov knowing fully well that the others are doing quite well then reject that party for the unknown UPN. Do you expect GEJ to approve a contract for Fasehun if he doesn't think that he will then have money to serve GEJ's interests? GEJ has shown that his he doesn't care about Yoruba interests. Fool no one you are !!! shymexx: Anyway, welfarism is quintessentially part of Yoruba culture, tradition, and spirituality... and if UPN can bring that back to Yorubaland, they should go for it... We need leaders with astute Yoruba-ness and those who actually understand what it means to be Yoruba and the Yoruba consciousness of being your brother's keeper... Only the state of Oshun is doing that, at the moment - we need more people like that... However, a party with a manifesto based on the virtues of Yoruba people and welfarism won't be a bad idea... |

It is not about followership - it is about what is good for Yorubaland. If Tinubu begins to act against Yoruba interests he will lose support. Fasehun is dancing on the edge of losing support but not just yet. Goddex: But between Faseun and the Billionaire Tinubu, who is deserving of followership? |
But the solution is to aim higher not lower. We cannot go back to the vomit of PDP and the locusts that have been given every chance to prove themselves in administering Yorubaland and not only fell flat, but ruled like warlords over the land. We need to ask more of ACN but Fasehun cannot let himself be used by the same PDP to ruin Yorubaland. It is as simple as that. And no, he doesn't have the money to make the party viable but if he sells his soul & the rest of Yorubaland to GEJ he will, and then we will be back to 2003 again. We want to keep moving forward not regress. Neo-XVI: |
They are still trying to pursue this brain-dead program of the Federal Government getting involved in maternity affairs. If they can't ensure the money for petroleum subsidies is used judiciously there is no way they will manage such an intimate & intricate program. Talk about jumping from fry-pan to fire. I have said it before that GEJ's advisers are would-be socialists. Roads, bridges & trains services are good projects but I'll like to see what is being done with the actual N4 trillion budget if all of the FG's project is now being attributed to a program with a budget of a couple of hundred billion Naira. Finally, the fact remains that removing subsidies that benefits a large number of the poor and pouring the funds into uncertain and non-everyday-man projects is a waste of funds. The average worker benefits from the subsidy each and everyday when he/she takes a taxi to work. He does not get the same benefits when the money is shifted to a program only used by a small proportion of the population. The funds would also contribute less to the economy than if they had remain as subsidies. It is called robbing Peter to pay Paul. billante: SURE-P Approved Projects For 2012/2013 |
Feel Fasehun? Do u think we would have known about his interest in a N2.4b contract if Lai Mohammed had not exposed it. With the way Fasehun was suddenly siding eith GEJ his UPN was a diabolical move to steal elections fo r GEJ in 2015 like OBJ did in 2003. Fasheun was being used as a pawn by GEJ but they lost woefully!!! Vado: I feel fasheun on this one. I mean shoutout to the likes of fashola, rochas, oshiomole, amosun, they are all reppin the party well but Lai Mohammed is a piece of shit with mouth diarrhoea. This is the same fella that contested on AD's platform for Kwara state Governorship in '03 and lost. He has since abandoned the state, no social-economic contribution whatsover than just sitting in lagos making noise up and down. People don't even know he's from kwara sef. Being an opposition doesn't mean yarning dust at every slight opportunitiy most especially when you can't get your facts straight. |
That should be astroNOT - I believe. They have turned the nation into a theatre of comedy. adegeorge: The National Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA, yesterday, said it will produce the first Nigerian astronaut in 2015. Director General of the agency, Dr. Seidu Mohammed who disclosed this |
You are missing the point. Yorubas cannot afford to trade their freely elected gov. and representatives for locusts so we can say there is a Yoruba there. Tambuwal has done nothing for Yorubaland which is exactly the same as Bankole, except that in the latter case OBJ also stole elections all over the SW. And Mulikat was going to be GEJ's stooge anyway. GEJ is the problem. Surely you can see the difference between OBJ's locust gov. and the current crop in the SW. The lattet are not corruption-free but a great improvement. gunuvi: Some of you amaze me with your one sided arguments. Did I say anything about corruption? I only said I was pained that we lost the speakership. Mention one politician in Nigeria that is clean. Mention just one! Also, tell me what has tambuwal done for us south west. You people always blame others without looking at yourselves in the mirror. Are your ACN not corrupt too?? |
Yes, there is a problem. GEJ could not have been president without Yoruba votes but has acted with such callousness to the region. Why would any Yoruba in his right senses want to help such a man to another term? Does Fasehun think GEJ can be more beholden to him than OBJ? Shouldn't the respect and fear of OBJ count for something in his behavior to Yorubas? Instead GEJ actually thinks he can seize PDP from OBJ without consequences. Kids himself he is!!! As for reaching out to Buhari and others this would not be the first time and if it works this time fine and fine otherwise too. But Tinubu is not out there grovelling at somebody's political feet becos he wants a contract. gunuvi: Ok, so what will you say about your Tinubus romance with Buhari, Tambuwal etc? If he romance Ijaw, is there a problem with that? |
You talk as if the having a speaker is the same as having our due rights within Nigeria. OBJ was a Yoruba president and he illegally & arrogantly held on to Lagos funds. Tinubu broke his grip by taking the opprtunity to wean Lagos of overdependence on allocations from the center. Bankole was speaker - what did he do for Yorubaland, other than steal? Those crying over the behavior of GEJ towards Yorubas are the rentiers who are left out of the sordid corruption called Nigeria. In terms of good governance Yorubaland is experiencing a resurgence that had not been seen since UPN in the 2nd republic. OBJ stole elections for his stooges in 2003, what did those achieve? Guess who bested them all - Lagos, the one OBJ "punished" by witholding allocations. What we need to do in Yorubaland is take GEJ's misbehavior as opportunity to extend that indepence from the curse of oil to the entire region. gunuvi: Fasheun has bared it all. It is true that ACN used their own selfish interest to sell out many Yorubas. The speakership of Mulikat that we lost still pains me till now, all because of ACN selfish interest. |
Fasehun is going to lose respect if he keeps claiming he doesn't see the connection between his sudden romance wit Ijaws (even going as far as publicly supporting GEJ's right to a second term), his sudden NNPC 'interviews' and so-called revival of UPN. He is being used, he knows it but is playing along in order to get his contract. Problem is those using him have no intention of awarding any contract to him but will use him to try and divide the SW. eggheaders: in your bigoted mind.faseun is just been used by gej.he will soon be dumped.concern your self with the imbrigo in apga .who be the chairman self na umeh abi the new guy??a party of charlatans. |
Hope you are not drunk - where did I cite "35,000" soldiers? Yes, Awo complained about soldiers in the SW, but I have never stated that number myself. I am not even sure which citation you are talking about. All you have to do is point to the reference that caused you to accept the number as fact. Dede1: I am the authority on my facts. There is no need to copy and paste junks from obscure sources. One of your fellow disciples of Nowa Omoigui who goes by handle –Koruji cited Awolowo’s rant that included 35,000 soldiers of northern region origins that had occupied western region in 1966. |
Keep quiet, my friend and smell the ![]() Eko Ile: Funny enough, the rotten Abuja stadium is the eagles home stadium, but the eagles can not use this stadium or welcome any foreign football team for any game or friendly at this stadium. Right now, they borrow borrow stadiums to practice all over the country. |
Get your facts right. Iraq may be, but Afghanistan had it coming big time. Tony Spike: The US needs to test their newly produced arms, hence, they need to provoke another war somewhere, somehow. It's all about the doctrine of premptive action, the same clause used to attack Iraq and Afghanistan. |
Analytical what? You mean a leader who keeps holding millions in abject poverty, begs the workd for food and fuel, yet develops lavishly expensive military hardware deserves respect? Try living in such a country for a week then we'll see how "analytical" you 'll be in its defense!!! ceaz4r: GOD Bless your analytical & straight thinking Brain!! |
