Right now, its very hot during the day(38-39 deg. C) and very cold at night so come prepared.
NYSC is really fun up north!

Thanks man!... Your post has addressed some of the fears that I have, though I am planning on redeployment once I get there. How's the people? Are they friendly, what's the cost of living?, are we going to have any communication problems?, what of utilities like electricity, transportation, good roads, water, internet connection, telephone network, banks/ATMs? What's the level of civilization there? What of accomodation?

It's true we are not going to picnic, but these factors will go a long way in determining how effectively we serve our fatherland. Thanks.

It finally arrived.

I just got this email from NYSC this morning:
Dear Kossy,
You ve been offered a provisional admission for a year compulsory diploma course on real life experience. Your matric no is NYSC/UNN/2014/25****. Location of study is still being processed and will be communicated to you in less than a week's time.Congrats. Stay cool

I want to use this opportunity to thank everybody who has been supportive in one way or the other during these trying times.

I wanna say a special thank you to my girl, Sandra for being benevolent with her thing.it really helped me to keep my shit together.

A big shout out to my family, my mum for her sweet and kind words, my dad for constantly subjecting me to a hot seat by his incessant questions, my siblings for rubbing it in
- are you sure you sat jamb? Or Kossy,please tell us the truth, how many references do you have in school?

A shout out to the C14 house, not forgetting to mention Sodiqyinka for making my life a living hell by constantly reminding me of how close I was to going crazy(posting the countdown to printing of call up letter etc), I am sure he meant well. He, like me, wears an ever-young, small boy, immature face! The power of beards cannot be overemphasized! Samklef referred to him as a kid! I got the gene from my mum whom nature has sworn will never get old! We look alike facially!

I taya for my mama matter O! She is a sight to behold! I swear you would think she hasn't given birth before whereas she has adults! Our relatives marvel everytime! Bossoms refusing to fall - Lolz! My dad is literally ageing!

Ok, back to me! In school, before the beards, everyone is like "fine boy" "fine boy" but I could not woo a girl or talk anyhow in a social interaction, and perpetually taken for granted by people!

Fast-forward to some years later, my case is now one of swinging from one extreme end to another! I keep a goatee and a moustache! The moustache above my upper lip when thick enough, portrays me old, in my late 20s or early 30s!
.
But when I shave it off, leaving the goatee only,
mehn, I look like a twelve year old! The height is there, body mass index quite OK too! I've chosen to look old!
.
When the facial hairs were not even forthcoming at all, my relationships were uncomfortable! I was matured in mind but did not look it at all!
.
My immature facial looks did me immense emotional trauma! High-flyer in academics but not revered! I terribly felt bad about it!
.
MATURITY IS OF THE MIND AND NOT OF THE FACE. However, people sees it the other way round!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it means there are discrepancies with ur online reg data and the one ur uni sent e.g diff reg numbers. It unfortunately means Batch C at this point is next to impossible. But, if you can make it 2 abuja to complain, something might be done.

I recently told someone with similar issue to go and rectify things with their school cuz even if you go to abuja at this point, NYSC will still tell you to go to your school cuz its your school that can correct the info and resend to NYSC. Prolly what you filled online is different from whatever your school sent to Abj. Visit your school ASAP!

How was your night?...well, mine didn't go so well, I mean after receiving a funny email from NYSC about problem with the "data sent from my institution"...what do you expect?....it's obvious I'm not the only receipient of that mail....sabiguy, sodiq....what's your take on this newest development?
