Two wrongs cannot make a right they say. It's quite sad that the BH menace has robbed people of their sanity and humanity. Jungle justice...as it is fondly called is not a novel idea in the mind of an average African man; but judging the the utter lack of trust and confidence in the institutions set up to protect their lives and properties , you can't help but spare them some blame. Personal security is a personal business they say.
PoliticsRe: Seven Categories Of Nigerians During This Election Period. by Kossyne(m): 8:58pm On Feb 26, 2015
emusmith:
Election is around the corner and almost everyone is preparing one way or another.

If you observe keenly, you'll place people into categories depending how they respond to the Waves of Politics.

We Have 7 Kinds Of People During This Election Period.

1. Clueless:

These ones don't know what APC stands for at all. If you mention Kwankwanso, they'll ask you, "Is he a Nigerian?". No, he's from Togo. Lol! Funny, most of them are ladies lipsrsealed

2. "Fanatics" (Agile Supporters)

These ones are everywhere. They live and breathe their Party. They can fight over it. His wife better not castigate his party.

3. Carefree

These ones are not bothered who wins the election. Today, they like GEJ; tomorrow, a friend comes and convince them. They'll just say, " Na true sef, wetin Jonathan don do sef?" grin
Some of them don't even have PVC. Their usual belief is " Who go win, go win. Them no need my vote" grin

4. Debaters

These will just surround the newspaper stand and argue all morning. Sometimes, in the compound. They'll argue the same thing daily, " Why you prefer any of the parties?"
We have some of them in politics section.

(See picture below of a Romancelander who visited Politics Section once) grin

5. The Hurting Ones

They're already angry at government. They always say, " Government dey chop our money " grin. They hate the " Government" enh! Those arguing election things disgusts them.

6. The Actual Party Members

These are the ones you see around on their party clothes, face caps, buses etc.
They know intricate matters concerning the party. They don't argue. They rig.

7. Jokers

gringrin
They're the types that design funny memes about politician that makes you laugh. They see election from a funny perspective.

You probably fall into any of these categories- Tell us cheesy

If not, Say Yours. cheesy
U forgot the political thugs.

You ve been scammed.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Hosts His Old Classmates To A Dinner At The Presidential Villa (photos) by Kossyne(m): 7:10pm On Feb 26, 2015
Pure political move. My question is who is fooling who?..The purported former classmates know this. They are just trying to take advantage of this once in a life time opportunity. A good thing though for both parties.

RomanceRe: Women And Self-objectification by Kossyne(m): 4:30pm On Feb 21, 2015
safarigirl:
Most times today, we watch music videos that depict women as sex objects, nothing more and maybe something less. Future mothers are seen as playthings to satisfy a man's pleasure and be done away with.
Most times, when we see such, we curse out the artistes and go on the internet to rant and rave for good measure

But why? I mean, can you really blame those artistes? Can you really blame those men who see women as sex objects, not people with brains in their heads, with great ideas, sharp intellects, just someone that would 'make sense' for a bang and brag?

No, I choose to not blame men, I choose to blame women. Because women have made fools of themselves more often than not while men look on, because women feel the need to take pictures of their naked thighs and overflowing breasts in bras and shirts that are two sizes too small and post them on social networks like Instagram, twitter, facebook, and even 2go (for christ's sake 2go? Are you for real?! angry)in a bid to snag one empty-headed, dimwit (the only class of guys who pay attention to such ladies)...who funny enough, after shagging her will feel the sick need to announce to the world about his latest 'conquest'

Case-in-point, there are these two chics on twitter who let's just say, aren't known for suggesting anything creative (...well, not in areas that affect humanity wink)...they had this fight on twitter where they both basically accused each other of sleeping with men for 'chicken change'

I mean, I'm not saying you shouldn't hustle, but for the sake of all that is intelligent, keep yo' shiit to yo'self angry....the entire world need not know how many men you have kpanshed. I mean, we're all glad that certain people have active sex lives and insatiable libidos, hell, we're ecstatic for you, but we would rather concern ourselves with more pressing matters

I won't even go into the embarrassing and befuddling stewpidity which that Jombo chic that komole'd with Davido displayed by posting pictures of herself with a passed out Davido after a night of (what we assume was) sex.

Ladies, looks will only take you so far. Not everyone is Kim Kardashian or Amber Rose, and nobody can be either of those two ladies on this obodo naija that we are (unfortunately), you will only end up like either Afrocandy or Maheeda (3kobo po-rn 'stars', no be better market be that undecided)...so kindly stop advertising your wares. You're not the only one with a phat assss and perky boobiess, there are about 3.9 billion other people in the world who share those traits as well, so you have to distinguish yourself with something else

I doubt anyone knows anything concerning Chimamanda Adichie's physical 'gifts' because like I told my roomie, people are too busy analysing her 'brain' to give a rat's genitals about the size of her assss, if you're talented enough, people won't care about your physical attributes (ask Lupita N'yongo). Stand out, don't just be an asss and boobiess, be a person

God bless smiley

CareerRe: ICAN November Diet 2014 (new Syllabus) by Kossyne(m): 6:13pm On Feb 20, 2015
Hi everyone,
First, let's get one thing straight..ICAN is yet to officially announce the release of its study materials for all the levels of its biannual exams. The soft copies of application/skills level flying around were leaked by unknown persons. The printing, duplication, distribution and copying of these materials are against the copyright laws but lucky for us, we are in a country that has little or no regard for laws. That does not mean that we are to carry along with these acts with careless abandon. So be careful.

Second, practice, they say makes perfect. No matter how hard you memorize those standards or how many times you cover the packs, if you don't have questions to practice with, your effort is as useless as the letter "H" in Ghana...solve as many questions as you can..since ICAN has done nothing in that respect, equip urself with ACCA study and revision kit, you will not regret this

Third, In as much as you are learning( gaining knowledge), don't forget to learn how to pass exams too...know how to approach questions, how to know what the examiner requires of you and also learn time management..as you are reading, time yourself, imagine yourself in an exam situation..Remember you have 3 hours to move mountains.

Finally,...mmmm...lemme think..gimme a minute..*wink*

CelebritiesRe: Nigeria's Top 20 Richest Musicians And Their Net Worth by Kossyne(m): 11:43am On Feb 16, 2015
Mr.OP...First and foremost. A million youtube views does not translate to a million naira. If it may interest you, there are many videos on youtube with over a billion views, the people who made those videos are not yet billionaires.
Next, Artistes especially the ones in Nigeria, don't make money from album sales, (no thanks to piracy). A large chunk of their income comes via endorsements and shows apart from those who combine singing with production(eg Don Jazzy).and those who have other investments.

I ve heard a lotta horrible stories about the state, though I didn't place much stock in it but one can't be too careful. Pls I want to know the good LGs where one can serve with little stress. I am not necessary looking for comfort but water,light,internet/mobile network, proximity to market/town,security are priorities.

Again, if anyone can help with any school/firm where I can obtain request letter, I will really appreciate it. Thanks. My number is 08135774727

A big shout out to hayordelevic,judemorfy,NmamdiN,Emmanueloy,Ndisnoopi,ajasa4link for their invaluable contribution. This information is for PCMs travelling from Owerri or Anambra.

Alternative 1
Take a bus to Onitsha(for those living in Owerri), and stop @ down fly over by Ekwulobia street or Ph road. Ask for EasyMass transport company. They use small hummer buses and they leave for Kebbi by 5pm every evening(except on sundays). The t-fare is #4000. They do stop @ Yauri in Kebbi, then you can get a cab going to Dakingari from there. but I can't guarantee you comfort.

Alternative 2

Stop @ down flyover in Onitsha, take a luxurious bus going to sokoto(GUO:#4550 time: 11am; God Bless Ezenwata:#5100,time:11am)
Once you get to Sokoto, then take a cab going to Dakingari

Alternative 3

Take a bus going to Abuja from Owerri( Chisco:#4000, time of departure:9pm; ABC transport: #5850) when you get to Abuja, then board a cab going to Kebbi, should be around #4000.

So just budget like #10,000 for your t-fare.

For more info, you can reach me on 08135774727.
Will be leaving with my coursemates on Tues. Cheers.

The state government pays 2,000 in kebbi while private schools pay between 4,000 to 8,000......I was posted to a federal government owned school and they pay 5k( though am a new corper there and yet to receive any allawee yet )
Thanks man!... Your post has addressed some of the
fears that I have, though I am planning on
redeployment once I get there. How's the people?
Are they friendly, what's the cost of living?, are we
going to have any communication problems?, what
of utilities like electricity, transportation, good
roads, water, internet connection, telephone
network, banks/ATMs? What's the level of
civilization there? What of accomodation?
It's true we are not going to picnic, but these factors
will go a long way in determining how effectively
we serve our fatherland. Thanks.
Any other PCM can add his/hers.
