I do not think the new tax regime is bad at all, and it is one more thing that Obidient me appreciates about Tinubu, along with his removal of fuel subsidy and free floating Naira.

As I said, when government taxes me, I will be more focused on the government that is elected, and more likely monitor how my tax money is spent.

So, let me repeat myself and say, I am Obidient. God bless and continue to strengthen Tinubu and my country Nigeria.

I want him to do one more thing for me so I can decide to vote for him at the next election. Scrap or reform Youth Service so it stops being cheap labour for employers, and so employers can be incentivized to retain and develop their staff and pay them appropriately. The tax relief for rent and other minor things is what makes me support the new tax regime, imagine a landlord earning above you paying same tax like you.
I also think that there is no flat rate anymore which is also good, I remember some years back when Atiku submitted that he paid less than a billion naira tax for, I think 3years. I was surprised cos a civil servant will pay same with him so to me it's a welcome development.
