Yo Momma is so big that she's the only living thing on earth that can be seen from outer space. Yo Momma is so big that she went to a football game and sat next to everybody. Yo Momma is so big that I ran out of petrol driving halfway around her. |
PHCN acquiring MTN? Just what we need - more disconnecting calls. Talk about bringing the routine power failure of NEPA to the mobile phone network. It'll take 50 attempts to establish a call, which PHCN would cut short after saying "hello, how ar, ". |
Has anyone ever told you that you look like a particular celebrity, athlete, politician, or some other popular individual? Someone once told me I look like Ja Rule, though I don't see any such resemblance. Do you think you look like someone famous? Let us know, |

It's amazing how easily we all point our fingers at Nollywood movies and criticize them by calling them wack, and so on. I have a few questions, How many of us have EVER made a movie that was not wack? How many of us have ever contacted a Naija movie maker and offered suggestions on how to make their movies not wack? Does your definition of wack mean non-hollywood-like? I do agree, however, that we (Nollywood) should improve our movies with better quality (both video and audio), original storylines, innovative concepts, raw accents (as opposed to fake accents) and stop trying to imitate Hollywood. I've seen lots of Nollywood movies that make you wonder whether the movies were ever reviewed before releasing them (poor sound quality, with background music louder than the actors' voices, etc). All I'm saying that criticizing them nollywood movies would not make them any less wack .Why don't we list what we hate about Naija movies, and how they can be improved upon. Some things I wish they would improve include,
[li]Stop using fake accents (nothing wrong with hard-core Naija accents)[/li] [li]Stop making movies in multiple parts except where absolutely necessary (waste of money, if you ask me)[/li] [li]Improve sound quality (background music should never be louder than actors' talking) [/li] [li]Diversify the storyline (how about a Naija sci-fi movie? )[/li]
Let's all contribute to making nollywood non-wack. Any ideas? |
You can get it from http://store.apple.com or buy a used one on eBay. If you have money, you should get an unlocked iPhone. |
Do you think Naija go win 2 golds next year - one for Ghana 2008 and one for Olympics? I pray we do o! ![]() That go be Naija's greatest feat in years! |
About time we heard good news from Naija for a change! Congrats O! Naija don do well well o! Dat's the kind of raw talent that Naija's known for! Reminds me of the super eagles that won gold in the 1996 Olympics! That, to me, was Naija's best soccer team EVER! Do you think we can repeat that feat? |
Ladies, what cologne do you like a man to wear? Which one shouldn't he wear? |
Yes I forgot that Firefox is a memory hog indeed. I'd still rather use firefox on a slow PC and block all those banner ads, than use Internet Explorer and endure all those flashy, annoying banners. Actually, I believe that increasing the RAM only makes the browser load (and shut down) faster, but doesn't improve the actual internet speed. |
The RAM upgrade does not really affect the browsing speed as much as the speed of your internet's ISP. The RAM upgrade only boosts the performance of programs on your computer (like MS Word, Outlook, etc), including how fast they launch, and so on. One way your browsing can be slow is when you visit websites that include a lot of advertising banners and/or popup ads. To avoid all that, and enjoy faster browsing, download Firefox from www.mozilla.org, which gives you the option to block popups. You can then install an extension called "AdBlock Plus" which blocks most banners and such, so that webpages load faster. Hope this helps. |
Definitely go with AVG. You can get it from http://free.grisoft.com/ |
For all you firefox users, what is your favourite extension(s)? Which extension(s) can you not live without? My favourites are Adblock and Mouse Gestures! |
If you're talking about the site linked on your profile, it sure needs a lot of work. For instance, what is its purpose? The 'flash' on the homepage wasn't showing, so I just pressed "Skip" to proceed. I can't say much about it because I don't know what its purpose is. |
Free office suites (for those that can't afford Microsoft office): - OpenOffice www.openoffice.org - AbiWord www.abisource.com - Google Docs (web based word processor and spreadsheet) http://docs.google.com 3D map of the world - Google earth (free) http://earth.google.com |
Definitely get a mac laptop if you can, especially since you can now install Windows on it, so you have the best of both worlds. I've been using a mac laptop (ibook) since 2005 and I like it. Never gave me any serious problems. I plan to replace it with the intel-based mac laptop when the new version of OSX comes out in October, so I can add Vista alongside it. Anyway, I'd recommend you get the macbook and try it out. |
To enjoy the page without all that popup, just turn off Javascript on your browser. You can do that in Internet Explorer via "Tools -> Internet Options", or in Firefox via "Tools -> Options -> Content". |
It depends on the type of programme you want to write, and how much time & money you're willing to invest. Choosing the type & purpose of the programme to write will then guide you as to what programming language (Visual Basic, C++, Java, etc) you wish to use, and whether it is better to build a web-based version or a client side version. Can you be more specific as to what programme you want to write and why? |
As far as I know, that host is very good, and very reliable. Check out the sites they've built (including Jim Nwobodo's site) www.cnenigeria.com/websites/sites.htm |
Definitely go for the camry. It's more fuel-efficient and newer, so should last longer. The CRV has bad gas-mileage and may be more expensive to fix. |
You can have your site developed by CNENigeria.com, an ecommerce company based in Abuja that specializes in building professional websites for major companies, and they're fairly price-competitive. They've build cool-looking, flash sites as well. Check them out at www.cnenigeria.com/websites/ Hope this helps. |
My favourite is the BMW 7 series! I also like the Mercedes Benz CLK series! By the way, the ugliest car ever built is the Pontiac Aztec. |
No doubt it was fantastic. The special effects were something else. Of course it's the #1 movie in the box office! And it's suitable for (almost) people of all ages: the chics are attracted to Tyrese, the guys are attracted to the cars (and that sexy chic)! |
Now that the iPhone is out and the dust is settling, did you get one? If not, do you plan to get one soon? If you got one, what's your experience with it so far? Is it worth the hype? |
