Good evening, Literature lovers. Please, can anyone help me with a link to the detailed story of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine? Google has not been helpful and Wikipedia's account is not satisfying. Thanks.

if the battle kini happens....it shouldn't be labelled a tourney at all. Too many tourneys spoil the NL rap battle soup. grin grin Na nonsense I talk...lol. But seriously, let it just be nothing more than a fun exhibition. From our verses, neutrals can be asked to vote on which gods they wanna see battle. Just my two cents
How many neutrals do you think are attuned to the Greek gods mythology? Me self no too know. Battling this way would require one to go digging his opponent's character's personal. Imagine the stress. The Dionysus of a guy has an ambiguous, brain-teasing storyline, so how can one even diss him? I'm thinking of picking another god self.

Bars are in even numbers not odd.. you can't have 5 only 6,8,10bars ✘
Why? People do 5 bars a lot, especially on Facebook.

ELYMAXiimus:
Kr0ne got it twisted.
In the real greek mythology, ARES was the GOD OF WAR.

Cratus( ps2 funkynized it to kratos)
was one of the numerous sons of zeus who were concieved by mere mortals. But he was very strong just like hercules!

Ps2 fabricated some of the story of KRATOS.
If you've played the game, you'd know that the aim is to become the god of war.
Not that he initially was.
Blame DJ5naira, not me. He insisted I gave him Kratos, like say na game we dey play. grin
Sorry, I'll have to change it again. DJ5naira, it's now Ares, no more Kratos. Take note!

Geoxpress:
You found one. cheesy.

Kratos was actually the son of Zeus... Conceived by a mortal. Err, in the game, Kratos killed ares nd became the new God of war.
Zeus na ashewo. He impregnated many mortal women and had children with them. Hercules and Dionysus are among them.

and after we're done with the cipher, with the consent of the other glads can we battle each other in a mini tourney? Like completely destroy the pact of the big 3 and eat these kids of mine one last time!
You mean, like battle the characters? There would be personals, and where do we find judges who know the history of the Greek gods?

Nice one kr0ne , 8 bars are supposed to be ok now. 6 is way too short that's my opinion though. Please note, Zeus is god of sky, lightening and thunder, some even believe he is the god of weather.
Ok, modified.
8 bars is ideal to me, but the problem is that some people would still stretch. For instance, Darkrebel's 8 bars would look like 14 bars. I don't know if we should drop a model.
Rap BattlesRe: The Greek gods Cipher (official Signup Thread) by kr0ne(op): 9:17pm On Jul 16, 2015
There's nothing dope about Dionysus. He's just all about wine and faji. Who knows any other worthy Greek god? undecided

Ok, 6 bars it is then! And y'all are free to post pictures you want in case you don't like mine. This cipher should hit the front page. grin

True... it's better that way.... Real men are ugly and scary.

Please Please Please...use this...i so love it
I'll use it in your main verse. I suggest we minimise to 5 or 6 bars, coz every verse will have a picture and will be posted differently. What do y'all say?

We finally have a list of participants in the Greek gods Cipher. And because we're eleven in number, I feel 8 quatrains each is ideal, to avoid flooding the thread and boring our readers. Remember, we're going to impersonate our characters so when people see the verses it would appear as if they're reading directly from the gods. All na acting sha. grin

Krone, I think you should have included the likes of Teddybiyasi and Gladyys to bring balance.Hip-Hop, doesn't discriminate on gender shocked

I concur with Elymaxiimus on 8bars ...Oops! you can give "Apollo" to GIYAZZ .
I thought about that but, looking at their bars, I don't think any of them can match up the quality needed here. Secondly, we're already ten in number; people would get bored reading.
