Good evening, Literature lovers. Please, can anyone help me with a link to the detailed story of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine? Google has not been helpful and Wikipedia's account is not satisfying. Thanks. |
Geoxpress:That should be Monday na. |
liricyst:How many neutrals do you think are attuned to the Greek gods mythology? Me self no too know. Battling this way would require one to go digging his opponent's character's personal. Imagine the stress. The Dionysus of a guy has an ambiguous, brain-teasing storyline, so how can one even diss him? I'm thinking of picking another god self. |
darkenedrebel:Why? People do 5 bars a lot, especially on Facebook. |
CLINTONSOLJA:See, I don't know if you're a newbie here or you've been around for some time. But, please, stop chatting in battle threads anyhow. |
Darkenedrebel vs IDivine1 Criteria: Rhymes - 3 points Delivery - 3 points Flow - 2 points Punchlines - 5 points Rules •Bar limit:- 4 minutes •Deadline:- 17th of July, 2015 [6pm] •Lyrics should be posted by both battlers (attached with the audio download link) on or not later than deadline date •No biting[stealing/plagiarizing], no stretching, feeding & no recycling of lines •Good Luck! |

ELYMAXiimus:Blame DJ5naira, not me. He insisted I gave him Kratos, like say na game we dey play. ![]() Sorry, I'll have to change it again. DJ5naira, it's now Ares, no more Kratos. Take note! |
Geoxpress:Zeus na ashewo. He impregnated many mortal women and had children with them. Hercules and Dionysus are among them. |
ThePrekky:Kratos too is a god of war. |
ThePrekky:You mean, like battle the characters? There would be personals, and where do we find judges who know the history of the Greek gods? |
airmark:Ok, modified. 8 bars is ideal to me, but the problem is that some people would still stretch. For instance, Darkrebel's 8 bars would look like 14 bars. I don't know if we should drop a model. |
There's nothing dope about Dionysus. He's just all about wine and faji. Who knows any other worthy Greek god? ![]() |
Ok, 6 bars it is then! And y'all are free to post pictures you want in case you don't like mine. This cipher should hit the front page. ![]() |
liricyst:I'll use it in your main verse. I suggest we minimise to 5 or 6 bars, coz every verse will have a picture and will be posted differently. What do y'all say? |
liricyst:The more reason it would be erroneous to think Hades has good looks... because Lucifer is beautiful! |
007Bruce:You no know before you choose am, abi na the name entice you? What about me? I had to pick the last person on the list..ogogoro master. ![]() |
liricyst:Na the best picture wey I fit find for Hades be dat. This one try self, coz anything from hell is supposed to be ugly. ![]() |

We finally have a list of participants in the Greek gods Cipher. And because we're eleven in number, I feel 8 quatrains each is ideal, to avoid flooding the thread and boring our readers. Remember, we're going to impersonate our characters so when people see the verses it would appear as if they're reading directly from the gods. All na acting sha. ![]() 1. Alexpissu:I thought about that but, looking at their bars, I don't think any of them can match up the quality needed here. Secondly, we're already ten in number; people would get bored reading. |
