'SOLITUDE"


Joshua couldnt just understand why he could not secure a girlfriend for
himself. All his friends had girlfriends of their own,he felt deeply frustrated
and left out. He had read every single article on the web on how to get girls to like him,but it seemed like the more he read those tips,the slimer his
chances got. Outwardly he appeared confident,but deep within,inside the
inner tiny casement of his demeanor,he had this phobia for females.
''She is not picking my calls,I have been trying to reach her since
yesterday'' Joshua said to his friend Ebenezer as he peered into his
blackberry phone.
''What exactly did you tell her
yesterday??'' Ebenezer asked with sympathetic concern mixed with
disapproval.
''Nothing oo! I just told her that I have been searching for a girl for a
very long time,that I will like if she becomes my girlfriend,thats all'' Joshua responded slowly. ''Did I make a mistake by telling her that?'' He asked upon seeing the expression on Ebenezer's face.
''Oh my God!! Joshua!! The seventh girl gone down the drain! Ofcourse
you made a grievious mistake,how many times will I tell you not to tell any girl that it has been long that you have been
searching for a girlfriend??''' Ebenezer said with green disappointment.
''She asked me about my ex girlfriend,that is why I told her?? Joshua responded slowly.
''You should have lied na? What is wrong with you sef? See I am tired of
organising babes for you,you are not even serious,do you want to die a
virgin?? Ebenezer asked sternly.
''Noo how can you say that,if I dont need a girlfriend,then why will I 'll be
disturbing you to help me with a babe??'' Joshua said
''Then be serious!! You have to be serious Josh,I even thought by now
you guys would already be getting along sef... Haba stop frustrating my
efforts na'' Ebenezer said with boyish gesture. '' Take this number,her name
is Cynthia,she is my friend's ex,she is careless and fun to be with. If you like tell her you have been searching for a babe since''
''Noo I wont make that mistake again.
Just give me her number'' Joshua responded smartly.
''zero eight zero... three two zero....wait this is not her number, I
forgot I had two Cynthias on my list... Zero eight zero..sixty five
twenty two......'' Ben read her number this time without flinching.
Now this Cynthia of a girl was another mental case. She was far from
a normal girl,devoid of emotions or banal obligations. She disdained
commitments in relationship,infact she was the kind of girl that could
vocally breakup with a guy right after having s*x with him. She practically
didnt give a f**k and didnt care of the consequences of being stingy with it.
''Hello am i speaking with Cynthia?''
Joshua said upon calling her. ''Yeesss and who am I talking to??''
Cynthia responded with a subtle voice that aired feminine disgust.
''My name is Joshua?? Please can I get to meet with you? As in face to face'' Joshua stammered and trembled like an amateur.
''Wait how did you even get my number??'' She asked harshly. ''You
just called me now and you want to meet me face to face,you be kidnapper?''
