I think the real naive person here is the one who thinks that waiting patiently for another 8 years would entitle him to a presidential slot. That's despite the fact that he has been waiting since since 1999, and 20 years down the line he is still getting told to forget about the VP slot and hand it over to the group that had already got 8 year of presidency and another 4 years of VP. If agreeing to the above is not naive, I don't know what else is. zombieTRACKER: |
Yea, I guess Yoruba interest is the only valid interest, right? Igbos should not have any interest or you'd tag them as being "unfair", right? Well, if PDP knows its history it'd know that it has gone successfully a few times (like in 1999) without a yoruba block vote. But let them piss the igbos off this time, and let's see how it ends. And, talking about what's in it for the yorubas, there are more than one incentives: 1) The restructuring agenda (which APC cannot fulfil for them). 2) The Senate presidency. If those two incentives are not enough, then you're definitely not ready. In fact, even with a VP slot, you guys will still not vote PDP overwhelmingly just like you did in 1999. To cap it all, you have MULTIPLE contestants in various parties. So your votes will be shared regardless of if you are given a PDP VP slot. gurnam: |
There's no fight my brother. The stake is simple: Go with an Igbo VP, or go without the Igbos at all. And, to burst your little burble, the number of registered voters in the south east is NOT the true reflection of the Igbo voting population. There is a vastly significant igbo voting population in ALL regions of the country. For starters, I've not voted in the south east since 2003. Finally, your logic is both FLAWED and DISHONEST. Your definition of fairness is to get rewarded this year with a VP slot because you lost the party chairmanship slot last year. That's very silly. And I'm being nice here. FYI, Ekwueme was schemed out during the PDP presidential primary of 1999 to make way for Obasanjo. Yet that did not make igbos to betray the PDP even once since the last 20 years. That's unlike what your people did to PDP in 2015 and are already scheming to do again in 2019 just because you lost chairmanship last year. Who does that? How about aiming for senate presidency? You guys have had the presidency for 8 year and the VP (in APC) for 4 years, while the Igbos have had neither. Don't you see how dumb it sounds to stand there and try to pontificate about fairness to the igbos when you are the aggressor and the insensitive one here? gurnam: |
The problem is that your comment has nothing to do with this thread, and you sound so incoherent. Banmeallday: |
Pure lie. A bird at hand is worth more than a trillion birds in the bush. If PDP gives the VP slot to a Yoruba person, then PDP will lose both the Yoruba votes and the Igbo votes . And they will lose the Igbo's NATIONWIDE. In 1999, the Yorubas voted against PDP and Obasanjo in favor of Olu Falae. In 2019 they will vote AGAINST PDP and any other Yoruba person, in favor of Osinbajo. Ignore igbos this time, and watch a massive protest vote nationwide. stev120: |
There's no mumbo-jumboing about this. Either go with an Igbo person as the VP, or go without igbos at all, your choice PDP. |
Don't mind that amoral bigot. He has zero conscience. Totally messed up in his core. Zero sense of morals. jmaine: |
Yea, good luck with your sensible fellows. RevenGeMission: |

You are very wrong, my dear. Just watch and see. Realname: |
If the VP's origin truly does not matter, then why are you so angry? Why don't you want it to be an Igbo person? Or are you just lying to yourself? Realname: |
@UcheSecondus, congrats on your totally glorious convention that was just concluded. I will keep this very simple: If you field someone else from another ethnic group- as the VP - PDP will simply kiss permanent goodbye to igbo votes all over Nigeria (not just in SE). Since the last 20 years or so, the Yorubas have held the presidency for 8 years (in PDP) and the VP for 4 years (in APC). On the flip side, the igbos have not held either of the two positions in any party in Nigeria's recent history. Yet, the igbos have been the most loyal supporters of PDP. On the other hand, most of the Yorubas (not all) openly rejected and sold out PDP in 2015 (a party that gave them 8 years of presidency not long ago) just because they were offered the VP slot on a new party with an obviously unqualified presidential candidate. They literally threw the PDP under the bus with total disregard for national interest. Now, these same people are clamoring to grab the new VP slot in PDP - a slot that obviously should go to the igbos. Since 1999 the igbos have remained faithful to PDP all through. Just name it, OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ - Igbos supported all of them whole heatedly without having a shot at the VP slot. The Yorubas should do the same. Now is the time. And it's clear to every sane mind. In simple terns, no sane person would reward disloyalty and punish loyalty. But that's exactly what you'd be doing if you fall for the antics, and deny the igbos the VP slot. DO NOT TAKE THE IGBOS FOR GRANTED EVEN FOR ANOTHER SPLIT SECOND. If fielding an igbo VP would make Atiku lose the election, then IPOB is 100% justified. Igbos are watching so keenly. If the PDP VP slot goes to the Yorubas this time, then the Igbos would make sure that APC stays in power indefinitely. It's PDP's job to see to it that the Igbos do not only get the VP slot this time, but you should also ensure that an Igbo president takes over from Atiku immediately after his full tenure. Your move. |
Get it straight, anyone who tells you that Saraki is a betrayer is in effect calling you an idio.t. 1) For example, they claim with straight face that his refusal to hand Kwara State over to his sister (against his father's will) is a proof of betrayal. In essence, they are saying that siding with the people at the expense of his family's interest was an evil thing to do. Can you imagine that? No wonder they go to any length to justify the Fulanization of the current administration. In any case, the only reason they keep spewing this evil is because they believe that the average Nigerian is a fool. However, in all honesty, here's the truth: Saraki's choice to stand with the people of Kwara against his father's wish to establish a Sarakinian Gubernatorial Dynasty is without doubt one of the noblest political action in Nigeria's recent history. 2) They claim that he looted SGB. This is an outright lie. But they peddle it shamelessly because they believe that all Nigerians are a bunch of ignorant fools. Here's that fact about SGB: https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/the-untold-truth-about-societe-generale-bank-268202.html Learn to get the facts for yourself. 3) They claimed that he betrayed Jonathan. These are the same id.iots who demonized Jonathan and refused to vote for him for wanting a second term after taking the slot of the north in the zoning arrangement - the same reason Saraki left the party. But they keep twisting it as a personal betrayal because they believe that you cannot think critically. 4) They claim that Saraki betrayed APC by emerging as the president against the will of their senators. But ask them why the majority could not impeach him over the last three years, they'd start stammering. To them, reaching a consensus and having a cordial relationship with the opposition was an evil thing to do. This shows you how retarded and demonic these people really are. But the only reason they keep putting their BS in our faces is because they believe that we are all fools. |
"Unseat the demon" with a man who could not deliver a basic press conference correctly? Please, do yourself a favor: Go to YouTube and watch both Saraki's and Ambode's world press conferences. That would do you a lot of good. ollyruffy: |
Unlike those that made similar move in Kwara and Benue, Ambode has very little or no grip on Lagos political structure. He could not even deliver a decent press conference. So, basically, he does not have adequate political capital that deserves his imposition on Lagos PDP. Thus doing so will not only be a bad precedence and grave injustice to the faithful (and more deserving) PDP Lagosians; it would simply implode the PDP structure and unify APC. PDP's best move is to watch Lagos APC divide itself (or even instigate it). For that to happen effectively, PDP should allow Ambode to be humiliated by Lagos APC while encouraging him by proxy to continue fighting his lost battle. This will divide APC voters while PDP puts its own house in order to go all out with Jimmy (or any other prominent person that Jimmy endorses). PDP will lose BOTH the election and its structure if it publicly props Ambode against APC Awol1: |
What's your point exactly? Poaching on Ambode, after his ejection from APC, would be a very bad move for PDP. Omeokachie: |
@UcheSecondus, to cut the story short (in case of Ambode's eventual defection from APC), giving Ambode the PDP ticket would be a major strategic blunder that would seal your fate for the worst in Lagos. Basically, Ambode's chances of winning 2019 are very slim as a PDP candidate. And even if he manages to pull it off, it would be without (destroying or diminishing) the APC structure in Lagos. This means, you guys will simply bring out the very worst of Tinubu and his gang in 2023. You don't want to confront that, even if you win the center in 2019. What am I saying? The point is, you are witnessing Tinubu's most vulnerable political era right now. This is not the time to pull a half-hearted strike. You should be aiming to completely take out (or permanently diminish) his political structure in Lagos; while, at the same time, strengthening and consolidating the PDP structures. PDP should force him into a permanent retirement. But you cannot do that with Ambode. Your best bet is Jimmy Agbaje (not Otedola). You can only go for Otedole if he is able to convince Jimmy to work for him. That's one major way to avoid destroying your own structure. You lost Ekiti due to Fayose's show of weakness (when he cried on National TV). You also lost Osun for the same show of weakness. Ambode is showing weakness now. Avoid him by all means if you want to take Lagos for good. That show of weakness is why GEJ lost power. But show of strength is the main reason why Buhari came to power. And that's also the same reason why Saraki is rising in popularity despite all the demonization. There is no place in Nigerian politics for weak leaders - especially when they get tainted with a trait of pride or arrogance (yea, it's possible to come across as weak and proud at the same time). A word is enough for the wise. |

Is it not surprising that after 3 years (with a stably high crude output and increased oil prize) your god is still unable to get the GDP growth up to 2.3% - the same number you are now shamelessly distorting as a sign of recession"? And while you're at it, can you also give us the quarterly GDP analysis of 2006/2007 and 2010/2011? I am waiting for you liars and distorters of truth and history. seunmsg: |
Ignoramuses and lying demons everywhere. There is no single socio-economic similarity between Nigeria and Venezuela. For nearly 2 decades before your incompetent god took power, Nigeria was a major democratic proponent of free market economy. Many previously national monopolies were privatized. And policies were designed and deployed to build a robust economy that's private sector driven. This is unlike Venezuela which is a socialist dictatorial state that leaned strongly towards communism. Nowhere in your dumb propaganda did you make it clear that Venezuela is a socialist economy which is the major reason for its financial collapse. But I'm not surprised, after all, lies distortion and plain ignorance run in the dna of the average zombie. [s] alrahmanonline:[/s] |
Seems something is pretty wrong with you? Check people's profile before you attack them. Or are you just 13 years old? Do you have any iota of idea about the profile of that core igbo lady whom you just insulted merely because she politely corrected your idiocy? Your silly rash and irrational behavior on here does not help us on this forum at all. Be careful. biafranation: |

Stop shifting the goal post. You said that feminism has nothing to do with gender wars, right? So why are you shifting now? Show me raw data or verifiable evidence (not some one sided report on isolated social issues) that prove that men are safer in Nigeria than women. Or are you saying that it's only women that are entitled to safety in Nigeria? And if both men and women are equally endangered in the country, why then are you making it a women's issue alone? Can you give us the annual death rate in Nigeria broken down by genders? Can you prove that more women die annually in Nigeria than men? If that's not the case, on what premise then did you base your assertion that Nigeria is one of the most unsafe (or dangerous) places for women? Why did you not rather say that Nigeria is one of the most dangerous places for humans? sanpipita: |
Yea, there we go again. But, like I told you, you have no idea what you are talking about. Talking about Nigeria, do you have any data to prove that men are safer in Nigeria than women? Any iota of evidence to support your warped one sided assertion? Anyway, here's a simple definition of feminism (as opposed to your vain virtue signalling mental gymnastic): _____ feminism ˈfɛmɪnɪz(ə)m/ noun the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes. _____ sanpipita: |
It's only an ignoramus that would compare Trump to Buhari. BTW, the US MSM are ran by a bunch of idiots who overestimated themselves and abused their privileges. These are idiots who push pure falsehoods on their platforms deliberately. They exist to manipulate the public and feed them with liberal propaganda. But they've met their superior in Trump. We warned them in 2016 but their arrogance and stupidity won't let them stop. If they are not stupid they would have known that all they need to redeem their image is to report the FACT from all sides as opposed to plain the distortions they've been peddling for years. In fact, networks like CNN have been caught countlessly faking or manufacturing news. No amount of coordinated anti-Trump editorials would help them. Americans are woke now. dasparrow: |
I think you are just virtue signalling like some confused males do. You absolutely have no idea what feminism is. And thinking that you know the subject better than that "UK trained female lawyer" is the height of delusion. Feminism is about unfounded contest for male "privilege" as defined by some confused and divisive women and their weak-ass male appeasers. Women and men are made to to complement each other; NOT to compete or contes to replace each other. Women are made by nature to do stuffs that men CANNOT do and vice versa. But crazy and insecure feminists are insisting on the opposite. No wonder they lose relevance in the society. sanpipita: |
Your talk about leadership is not what you think it is. For example, who is the leader in the south west? Tinubu? Obasanjo? Fayose? Ooni? Alafin? Afenifere? OPC? Who? Did you notice that many of these individuals/groups don't even get together? The same thing is also true in the north where despite the seemingly monothilic religion there's widespread division and killings. Or do you think that the clamour for Middle Belt is for fun? In any case, Igbo's need a stronger common front, but that's traditionally done through collective liason and efforts and not by one man's fiat. gaby: |
A number of those aspirants, like Atiku, has visited the SE a couple of times. And it's funny how you think that Tinubu is what he's probably not. Most of SE are weary of the country as it's currently structured. They are aiming for restructuring at the bare minimum. So candidates which has no real intention of restructuring will probably not go there. Again, are you aware that SE (though the smallest region in terms of States) is the only zone that has representation from 3 parties at BOTH the state and federal levels. That should tell you something about the people. RockHard: |
As I said earlier, it's only a slowpoke that would not realize that it is the Hamas terror group that attacks the Israeli soldiers and then use its own civilian youths as shield against the provoked retaliation and for propaganda. IPOB did not do any of that. IPOB members were killed right inside their own houses during the UNWARANTED Operation Python Dance. Roger3D: |
