Politics / Re: How Has Ethnic Diversity Benefitted Nigeria? by KratosCorp: 9:26am On May 02, 2018
There were already two large scale ethno-religious massacres in Nigeria BEFORE independence. So what kind of "smooth working" are you talking about? And how does contesting an election in another region of YOUR COUNTRY (in which you live) amount to abnormality?

orisa37:
Things were smooth working until Azikwe wanted to be Premier of the West, The Hausas drove away The Igbos from Kano, The Igbos provocatively invaded Ore and now a Daura man is stealthily squeezing the 9/10 of his Emirate in Niger, Chad and Cameroon into the Southern parts of Nigeria without permission or shame and using the jointly owned Nigerian Resources to carry out this nefarious maladministration. Restructure this Country and let's have P E A C E AND S E C U R I T Y from the Grassroots

Politics / Re: All Private Sector Employers Must Pay The Proposed Minimum Wage- NLC by KratosCorp: 9:15am On May 02, 2018
I hope you guys will also enforce minimum revenue for all businesses in the private sector?

Clowns.

Nfora:

-FG targets second quarter of 2018
-NLC insists on N66,500

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), yesterday, insisted that all employers across the country must pay the proposed minimum wage. Its president, Ayuba Wabba, said the payment would no longer be restricted to employers that have 50 workers or above. He also stated that the labour movement would resist renegotiation of the wage by state governments or employers in the private sector.

Quote: “We have also proposed that the minimum wage law should apply to all workers and not be restricted only to establishments with 50 workers and above. We have also demanded that there should be minimum pension for our retired workers and senior citizens who currently, in some cases, are receiving N2000 as monthly pension. We insist that once the Minimum Wage Act is signed into law, all employers in public and private sectors must pay at once. We shall stand with those willing to pay more than the minimum. We shall resist any move to renegotiate the minimum wage at any level,”

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo promised at the 2018 May Day celebration in Abuja, yesterday, that the Federal Government will expedite action to ensure that a new minimum wage is ready by the second quarter of the year.

The VP declared: “The argument for a national minimum wage cannot be faulted, because minimum wage is the minimum amount of compensation an employee must receive for putting in his or her labour. And as such, should be anchored on the principles of social justice, equity, and fairness. We believe that those who can pay above the social protection floor are free to do so, as many have been doing in many states and sectors of the economy,”

He was hopeful that the “Tripartite Committee, comprising government, labour, and the private sector, will expedite its assignment, to enable the Federal Government to present an executive bill on a new national minimum wage to the National Assembly for passage into law, as soon as possible. In the meantime, the Federal Government and the state governments will continue to work together to improve the conditions of workers across the country.”

The NLC president, Wabba urged the Federal Government to ensure federal allocations are not released to states and local governments that refuse to implement the new wage, warning: “We are battle-ready against public and private organisations that would refuse to conform to the new minimum wage. At our disposal is the power of our votes! We shall ensure that governments that refuse to pay the new minimum wage will not receive the support of the working class, pensioners and their families.”

He argued that the N66, 500 being demanded by labour as national minimum wage would at best meet only the basic needs of the average Nigerian worker, if inflation is kept at a single digit.

A typical knee-jack reaction from Nigerian politicians. See how they handle policy issues with political gloves.

Mynd44:
Well done. We have just created a new way for criminals to make money; illegal importation of codeine and manufacture of (substandard) codeine.

And have found a way to remove codeine so that the freaks addicted to it can go find something else to get addicted to

Politics / Re: How Has Ethnic Diversity Benefitted Nigeria? by KratosCorp: 3:10pm On May 01, 2018
Nigeria's type of diversity is the single most consequential factor that makes the country an unworkable failed state.

There is absolutely zero country in the world that's as diversely complex as Nigeria. Not even the USA which is over 60% white and Christian. Yet, they are having a major diversity problem right now due to the rising antagonism from the minority groups.

In Nigeria you have multiple HUGE and unrelated nations lumped together by force as one. At least THREE of these diverse nations (not just 1 or 2) are larger than most countries in Europe. There is no other place you can find this type of unnatural mixup in the world.

Every other coutry that was as hugely diverse as Nigeria has been broken down into smaller and more homogenous nations. The only reason this has not happened in Nigeria is due to foreign interest and the general lack of concern for the welfare of the average Nigerian. The country is designed for the elites' resource extraction and that's to the detriment of the common people - nothing else.

There is no single natural unifying factor in this country. Everything (if any) that you can call an element of unity in this country was artificially created and forced on the people. So it does not work. And the painful part is that even the founding fathers knew this and made it a public knowledge during their time.

Large scale diversity does not work in nation building.

Diversity is a scam concept which the political elites use to divide the people in order to manipulate and keep them under control perpetually.

Extreme diversity - like you have in Nigeria - is a major hinderance to national progress.

oooduancalmdown:
Whenever you ask Nigerians what they love most about their country, you hear them mention "our diversity". But yet I don't know how this diversity has contributed to the country's growth. So I would love to ask. How has our diversity contributed to the growth of the country? How has these ethnic and cultural differences benefitted the Nigeria and her citizens?

maybanks:
BEWARE OF POLITICAL MASQUERADES IN THE CHRISTIAN FOLD

STATEMENT BY THE FORUM OF UNITED NIGERIANS AGAINST DIVISIVE ELEMENTS, FUNADE

This Christian Awake message is either from politicians masquerading as concerned Christians and there are many or from a truly misinformed concerned person.

But let us set out the facts. There is no truth at all in the allegation that Buhari is a Jihadist or is in support of Fulani herdsmen killings.

Let us first remind ourselves that it was under a Christian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo that 12 Northern States of Nigeria declared Sharia law. If this had happened under a Fulani President, you can imagine what the religious politicians would say.

Second it was under a Christian President, Goodluck Jonathan that the Boko Haram insurgency arose. The religious politicians who were benefiting from Jonathan, who he gave N7billion in February 2014 to share amongst themselves, then said Buhari and APC were Islamists who were behind the Boko Haram to make the country ungovernable for Jonathan.

The lies continued until Boko Haram attacked Buhari in Kaduna, killing five of his family members and aides and nearly killing him. The same Boko Haram under Jonathan abducted 200 largely Christian girls from Chibok. The government did nothing.

It was Buhari’s government that eventually started bringing them home. We May have forgotten that under the Christian Jonathan’s regime that Boko Haram attacked police headquarters and UN offices in Abuja. They attacked churches and mosques, schools and other public places all under a Christian President.

A few examples: On January 6, 2012,12 persons and 12 Christian worshipers were killed in the twin attacks in Adamawa State.

Also on February 25, 2012, A Boko Haram suicide bomber detonated himself at a church in Jos, Plateau State, killing 6 worshippers.

In April, suspected Boko Haram gunmen attacked a church in Kano and Maiduguri, where at least 19 people were killed.

On August 12, 2013, an attack on a Maiduguri mosque killed 56 people; and in November 3, 2014, a suicide bombing attack in Yobe State killed 15 Shiites.

Between January 2012 and May, 2015, there have been several attacks on churches.

For instance, on June 7, 2012 in Kaduna State, 19 persons were killed in bomb attacks against three churches.

On August 7, 2012, Boko Haram gunmen killed another 19 persons when they attacked a Deeper Life Church in Kogi State.

Similarly, on December 22, 2014, a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the gates of a church during service, killing 8 persons.

And on New Year’s day on January 1,2015, a suicide bomber died in an attempt to bomb ECWA Church II, behind the State University in Gombe.

In the same period farmer- herdsmen clashes took place in Benue, Plateau, and other places.

How is it that the authors of this write-up pretend not to know that Fulani herdsmen have killed more people in Zamfara, (an almost 90% Muslim State,) than both Benue and Taraba put together? And that almost everyone killed is Muslim? Or that over 800 Fulanis were killed in the Mambilla Plateau?

So the attack on a church in Gwer local government by mad men at 5am in the morning must be blamed on the President.

Where is your sense of fairness and justice? Why is it that you cannot see the hand of politicians desperate to discredit Buhari on his security credentials in this? What better way to create chaos and blame it on the President than walking into a church and killing worshippers? Where have you heard before that Fulanis many of whom are Bororos not even Muslims will go and attack a church?

Why have you not blamed the bombing of mosques in Adamawa State where dozens died last November on Buhari. So the fact that a Fulani is President and there are clashes basically over land and water means that it must be his fault?

Everyone who falsely accuses another of murder will not escape the judgment of God. Christians must not be propagators of falsehood especially sponsored by the opposition most of who want to return to continue the open and despicable looting that Buhari has now stopped.

By the way, the choice of Yemi Osinbajo in the ACN, ANPP, CPC, New PDP alliance that brought about the APC, was not Buhari’s choice. It was the choice of the Tinubu- led ACN. An alliance essentially between the North and the Southwest of Nigeria. In two previous failed presidential campaigns of Buhari, his running mates were from the South East: Ume-Ezeoke and Chuba Okadigbo. So it's simply nonsense to suggest that Buhari chose Osinbajo in order to buy the silence of Christians.

By the way I heard a speech made by the Vice President at the Deeper Life Church last Tuesday, this is the link, (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aItZKojLN6g) it will probably help you to see that this man is God sent to us at this time and as believers our job is to uphold him in prayers like Mordecai and the whole lot of Jews for Esther. The truth will prevailed

But that cannot be said about the igboness-denying Ikwere folks in relation to the larger igboness-embracing groups.

You have no right to say that. The same also goes to the person that you quoted.

There are many Ikwere people who identify as Igbo. So, neither you nor the OP has the right to pull a blanket identity over everyone based on your personal perception.

To those who bear igbo names, speak igbo and yet deny that they are igbo, all I can say to you is good luck with your igbo denial in the future that Nigeria and the world faces.

Afam, was your account hacked?

Man, this is so bleeping childish.

From my point of view, the dude you are touting here is both unstable and corrupt. I see him as someone that has zero integrity. How could you possibly be pushing this? Were you paid?

[s]
Afam4eva:
After taking a second look at the political intrigues, i have decided that in order for us to take Nigeria to the promised land we must begin to make concerted efforts at voting for the right people, especially as the presidential election in 2019 draws closer. One of the people that we must begin to look at is Omoyele Sowore.

The average Nigerian is unstable politically, but you can’t blame them because they have been death a deadly blow by previous administrations that promised heaven and earth but as soon as they got into power became worse than their predecessors. Worst, still, they start insulting the people who put them in power. A typical example is the current president, Muhamadu Buhari who got into power because a lot of Nigeria we’re tired of the status quo and they saw this humble man from Daura as their only saving grace. Actually, they saw the humility that was packaged and sold to them by the same political elites that they have love to hate and hate too love. After getting the mandate of the people, the administration of Buhari starting a series of character assassination on the same people that put him there. First, he called the fantastically corrupt and recently, he told the whole world that Nigerian youths are lazy and never-do-wells. Don’t forget that this same man contested in previous elections and lost but was somehow repackaged to Nigerians.

I, myself have been guilty for political gallivanting because i also support the current president in 2011 when Nigerians would not even listen to what he had to say. In 2017, even though i didn’t support him, i preferred him to the status quo at the time. Not too long ago, i also called for support for former vice president, Atiku Abubakar whom i know that, even though he’s not a saint, he is better than the man currently occupying the Aso Rock space and because he stands a better chance.

Recently, I’ve been weighing my options seriously and i have come to believe that we need a fresh face to lead this country. That is someone who is not part of the current political space. Some who is a rebel and ready to fight for what he believes in and the only person that i have seen so far is Omoyele Sowole, The publisher of Sahara Reporters.

While i’ve had reservation about his media outfit, I think no one can be said to be perfect and i don’t expect him to be. But one thing i know for sure is that, he seems like a man who knows his onions and stands by it no matter whose ox may be gored.

I put it to Nigeria that Sowore is not the messiah that we have been clamouring for because there isn’t one. But he’s the person who is going to change the political atmosphere of the country if giving the slightest chance.

I urge the youths of Nigeria to stand before our own. We should on come out and be counted as we make history bu uprooted the decades of decadence that has pervaded our land. Our destinity is ours, let’s take it. Vote Omoyele Sowore for 2019.

Politics / Re: The Saudi Example- Why Your State Must Create Ranching Entrepreneurs by KratosCorp: 3:46pm On Apr 27, 2018
My state CANNOT offer even one inch of land for ranching.

Cow rearing is not in any way near our areas of economic strength and viability. So we will rather use our little lands to host more viable and productive economic activities.

Those whose strengths and competitive edge are in cow rearing should build the ranches in their own regions and on their own vast ancestoral lands. They can then use modern transportation systems (trucking, trains or cargo boats, etc) to distribute the cows, milk and beefs to other regions - as the case may be. This will not only foster peace, but it will also create thousands (if not millions) of new direct jobs. Plus, this will cause a tremendous positive boost in the economy, especially in the transport, energy and insurance sectors.

We do not need your ranch in our lands. Keep it in your region.

Saudi’s largest dairy farm – Almarai
- Seán Cummins May 15, 2016, 5:00pm

Farm facts:
93,711 cows
72,985 young stock
1.2m litres of milk produced annually
3.45% butterfat
13,500L rolling herd average
41L of milk produced/cow/day
2,750 farm employees

[@ 6.30sar; ($1.68 /l) in Saudi; OR $1.19 in NYC, each cow earns minimum of $ 48.79 /day = N17,564.4, @ 360/$]

=> 10 cows will earn over N170,000/day!; over N510,000/month!!
- op

Almarai is one of the largest dairy farms in the world milking over
93,000 dairy cows in the Arabian Dessert in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this week, Roger Barkley, the Farm Manager of the Cappoquin
Estate spoke to the Teagasc Dairy Farm Management class about his
seven year stint on Saudi’s largest dairy farm.

“In March 2000, I boarded a plane after the interview process and I
went to work in the Arabian Desert managing 5,000 cows and 146 men.
Barkley said that the operation in the Arabian Desert has grown
considerably over the years, with the farm now employing 2,750
people.
“Back in 2000 Almarai was running five farms with a total of 25,000
dairy cows and 14,000-15,000 replacement heifers on the ground based
over five different farms.
“Now they are managing nearly 95,000 dairy cows and some of the
super farms are up to nearly 25,000 cows,” Barkley said.
Barkley worked on one of Almarai’s operations, managing the day-to-
day running of a 5,200 head dairy farm.

“If your are employed in Almarai you usually start off at the unit
manager level and have a lot of staff working under you, he said.
But, he said the operation allows its employees to gain on-farm
experience and training by spending time working in the parlour, with
young stock and breeding.
“By the end of year two I had progressed to an assistant farm manager
and I stayed at that level until I left in 2007. So I did two years training
and I spent five years as an assistant farm manager,” he said.

Key Milking Differences On Almarai
He also discussed some of the key differences between the Saudi set
up and Irish farms.
Barkley said the cows are milked four times daily, in a 75 unit rapid exit
parlour, which allows 75 cows to be milked every 5-7.5 minutes.
He also said that the cows udders were cleaned in group spray pens
and dried using fans prior to the start of milking, which is a little bit
different to the teat dipping or wiping carried out on Irish farms.
Barkley also discussed the forage production on the farm, saying that
maize and alfalfa are grown on farms over seven hours away and the
feed is shipped to each individual dairy unit in containers.

Financial Rewards
Barkley said that the starting off annual basic pay with Almarai is
€46,500 paid tax free
monthly installments.
The farm manager also said that the severance pay after year one is
5%, at the end of year two you get a further 5% and at the end of year
three it jumps to 15% a year.
“At the end of year eight your can walk away with an additional year’s
salary,” he said.
Barkley said that the package includes 97 days holidays and six return
flights to your starting point, or somewhere else if you don’t want to
come back to Ireland every time.

It’s Not All Rosy
However, Barkley said that financial circumstances brought him to
Saudi Arabia, but the rewards came at a price.
He said that he found it difficult to find work when he moved back to
Ireland, as many potential employers thought he was over qualified
after his experience
from work with Almarai.
He also said that the differences between the Irish grass-based and
Saudi TMR system made it difficult to find work once he returned
home.
Barkley said that during his seven-year stint with the operation, only his
wife came to visit him is Saudi, with none of his other family members
making to trip to the Middle East.

Politics / Re: 10 Little Known Facts About Fulani Herdsmen, By James Akinloye by KratosCorp: 10:32am On Apr 27, 2018
There are ZERO facts in this cow dung. This is just a paid, dumb, and purely wicked propaganda from a bunch of grossly deluded retards.

[s]
Oluwabash:
I am not a member of APC or a part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government but I do not think that as Christians we should allow politicians to influence our thinking and understanding of herdsmen killings in Nigeria.

No one is happy about the killings of herdsmen across the country and most of us want an end to it but I don’t think this is an attempt to Islamise Nigeria. In a bid to find out more about herdsmen killings and their motives, I did this research and found ten things we all should know about these attacks.

Proverbs 4 vs 7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Below are 10 things I found. I leave you to make up your mind on the matter

10 LITTLE KNOWN FACTS ABOUT FULANI HERDSMEN

1.       According to the Global Terrorism Index, Fulani militants were the fourth deadliest terrorist group in 2014, using machine guns and attacks on villages to assault and intimidate farmers. After killing around 80 people in total from 2010 to 2013, they killed 1,229 in 2014.

2.       This shows that herdsmen killings precede President Buhari’s administration and is not an Islamic agenda or an attempt to Islamise Nigeria has peddled by many.

3.       Herdsmen carried out attacks under Christian led governments of President Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan (especially under Jonathan’s government.

4.       President Buhari’s attempt to curb herdsmen killings through “Cattle Colonies” (which will be funded by the FG) have been rejected by some state governors and politicians. In a colony, 20 to 30 ranchers can share a colony that can house up to 300 cows.

5.       It is on account of this that he brushed aside an opinion that the Federal Government should challenge the constitutionality of the anti-open grazing bill.

6.       Commanding General of the US Army, Africa, Brig.-Gen. Eugene LeBoeuf, has submitted that insecurity and attacks have been fuelled by the invasion of foreign extremists.

7.       President Buhari has ordered that both the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Police operatives be deployed to Benue and other states affected by herdsmen attack in a bid to curb and possibly end attacks.

8.       Herdsmen have also attacked other African countries including Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Congo.

9.       Since the Fourth Nigerian Republic in 1999, the most impacted states are those of the Nigerian Middle Belt like Benue, Taraba and Plateau.

10.   Security experts believe that herdsmen conflicts are more often than not, as a result of major demographic changes in Nigeria. "Urban sprawl and development have simply reduced land area for both peasant farming and cattle grazing".

Politics / Re: Herdsmen Killing help PDP destroy Buhari Popularity. PDP should be a Suspect by KratosCorp: 9:04am On Apr 25, 2018

life2017:
PDP may not have started the herdsmen killing. The clashes most likely started naturally purely on economic ground between herdsmen who want more land for grazing and farmers who want more land for crop farming.

There is a possibility PDP may have started fuelling the killings because it is one issue that is erroding Buhari popularity with the speed of light.

Politicians are wicked. They can do anything to win.

Every honest neutral objective observer will suspect PDP.

If the herdsmen were pro Buhari, they would have stopped the killing by now knowing fully well Buhari presidency and re-election is being destroyed by it.

Politics / Re: There Is Nothing Like Fulani Hersmen. What We Have Are Terrorist Ex Boko Harams by KratosCorp: 3:54pm On Apr 24, 2018
angry

Sick people everywhere. So you are telling us that:

1. The IG of Police called the terror attacks by your "terrorist ex bokoharams" a mere "communal clash"?

2. The minister of defence said that the terror attacks from your "terrorist ex bokoharams" were because of the anti-open grazing laws and the blockage of grazing routes, right?

3. Then your president went to Benue state (after so much criticism due to his long deafening silence on the matter) and told the Benue people to learn to embrace and live in peace with your "terrorist ex bokoharams", shey?

4. Let's not forget that the leaders of the Fulani cattle herders association promised last year that these killings by your "terrorist ex bokoharams" will continue if the Benue govt. refuses to reverse its anti-grazing laws, right?

So, in view of all these, what does this your thread say about you OP?

What exactly is your point here? You are just rambling and making zero sense. Hope you are not an official representative of Sowore's campaign? Your incoherence and inability to string together a simple correct paragraph is terribly damaging to the already dsicredited image of the known blackmailer and pretender that you are trying so hard to defend.

Fmr. Nigeria Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the economy under the last administration, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala allegation that Sahara Reporters founder, Omoyele Sowore deliberately published articles that blackmail her on Sahara Reporters after she deny to respond to some of Sowore's questions are farce. https://www.nairaland.com/4466536/ngozi-okonjo-iwealas-revelation-donald-duke

It is obvious that the well travelled and learned Iweala is not in tune with modern realities as some of her alleged blackmail stories are still on the web and an advanced Google search will bring them out, not only that, She did not even know that most of the articles against her were not written by Sowore.

What ordinarily the traditional media would have killed because their relationship with politicians is what Sowore's Sahara Reporters is publishing. Sowore as the publisher only wanted to get her views on those stories before publishing which she declines due to her arrogance, which she displayed while in power.

At the age of 60 plus Charly boy should know better and stop inciting the youths against president buhari and his family. How can a grand Pa like Charly boy throw invectives and tantrums at Yusuf buhari over nothing? Is it Yusuf's fault that his father is a president? How many of you reading this will allow your children to suffer if you were president? Yusuf is a known professional whose hardworks speaks volume. Are Nigerian youths over the years not proven themselves to be lazy?

Let's for once be realistic, President Buhari is a very good man who seem to say it as it is. Many of us prefer leaders who will rather lie to the world that all is well with Nigerians while reverse is the case in the real sense. Activities of Niger delta militants in the past years has proven that youths from that region of the country proved Buhari right. How do you qualify Niger delta youths whose sense of entitlement is high because the oil reserves is situated on their soil. They believe they should be pampered and offered everything free. They get amnesty payments from the federal government for doing nothing. Blowing up pipe lines and shouting OUR OYEL money. They are not willing to work and see criminals like Tompolo and Asari dokubo as mentors. Can we qualify such category of youths as hard working?

What about the jobless myriads of youths from the south east constituting nuisances under the umbrella of IPOB. They were easily brainwashed by Nnamdi Kanu and all of a sudden they want biafra. They believe every good thing in Nigeria should be handed to igbos on a platter of gold without really working for it. Even though there are hard working youths from the east, for kanu to be able to mobilize such crowds for his treasonable rallies justifies president Buhari's assertion that they are lazy. Will a sane and hardworking youth who has something doing with his/her time wake up and start following Ipob to disturb the neighborhood because of biafra? Do you think the commonwealth members don't have embassies here? Had buhari lied that all youths are hardworking will that not be dishonest on his part when he is known as a man of integrity We really need to sit and dissect this issues and see if the president was wrong using that adjective "Lazy youths".

What Charly boy posted was clearly an hate speech and the authorities must go after him to serve as a deterrent to others. We must learn to respect the president and his family. Charly boy is just making 2023 igbo presidency hard for igbos by constantly attacking our lovely president.

This thread seeks to open discourse on the readiness of igbos to engage Nigeria per adventure the Nigerian factor plays out in 2023 and igbos or Niger Deltans are denied power.

i will not openly call for disntegration but i suggest igbos can use this medium to offer suggestions and opinions about how to face Nigeria if puch comes to shove in 2023

You have a severe problem with basic comprehension. But that aside, what's your problem with Trump if not that you are naive and brainwashed?

I stopped reading the moment I saw Trump. Of all persons, it was trump you could mention. You're actually the type PMB was referring to.

NB: before you get tempted to flap your pie hole a quick caveat: I'm not a supporter of PMB and have roundly condemned him in d past.

As dumb as your god - otherwise you'd know that there's a difference between interview and video.

Your are grabbing a silly straw, Mr Man.

1. The silly propaganda video you posted down there was NOT from PRESIDENT Trump.
2. The statement made on the crappy video was an analogy, not a statement of fact.
3. The interview was granted to the American media, in America, NOT abroad.
4. I told you to go and watch President Trump's speech at the last World Economic Forum.

Finally, none of you who blatantly defend this gross ineptitude and rape of the nation will go scot free. Karma will catch up with every single one of you.

Bunch of idiots.

Go and watch Trump's presentation to the last World Economic Forum and learn how a president is his country's first cheerleader and Salesman-in-Chief.

You tell the world that lots of your present and future potential workforce are uneducated and lazy, yet you wonder why Ghana and Ethiopia are ahead as the fastest growing economies and investment destinations in Africa.

This is the same country where the informal sector is largely driven by the youths. But buhari won't promote that, instead he zooms in on the demonization syndrom just to get a kick from his bigoted moral high horse.

Folks like you the OP are the root problem of Nigeria. And as long as people with your mindset keep roaming around the space with your utter sycophancy the country has no hope.

Shameless skowpokes.

9jatriot:
Let us start by reading the statement from Buhari>>>

"And then the economy. We have a very young population and our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. The 60 percent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country and therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare and education free,"

If you are among those who went to school and still feel offended about this statement, then maybe you did not really go to school to have such a guilty conscience.

If you did not go to school yet you work really hard to make a living, then this statement is also not for you.

This statement is for those with entitlement mentality, who disturb the hardworking members of the society by lancing freely without doing anything.

They are the ones who when government give out a contract to develop a place request that the contractor pays them money first before he can start work despite the fact that the amenity will benefit them.

These are the youths who will not allow you set up a block or building without paying "deve" level.

These lazy youths are the ones who made it difficult to justify your degree or education.

These are the youths who by virtue of being connected with no known means of income drive the best cars while the phd graduates roam the streets.

The list is endless, but if you are educated and you somehow managed to group yourself among those who are referenced by Buhari as "A lot of them have not been to school", then you cannot blame the man for putting yourself in that group.

Politics / Re: Let's Change This Country Together, Please by KratosCorp: 10:34am On Apr 17, 2018
You are just being clueless.

Just do a little research on your history.

1. Tell me the average age of the leaders who got Nigeria independence.
2. Then tell me the average age of the soldiers who led the military coups since 1967.

If those were youths, then it goes to show that the problem of Nigeria is bigger and way deeper than you had imagined. And, insanity is the constant repetition of the same idea with the expectation of a unique outcome.

Sorry to break it to you: The country's foundation is evil and unsustainable. Until you are ready to enthrone liberty and justice - including the liberty to choose not be one - you will keep going in an endless circular motion.

No progress can be made in a false or forced union. To be truly one, every unit should have the liberty to choose not be one. Once unity becomes compulsory and non-negotiable, it ceases to be unity but oppression. And such forced/false union creates the scenario of endless tension and the mentality of "winner takes it all" which Nigeria has been since the past 100 years.

I'm usually not interested in politics. I'm sure you'll find I have never posted under the politics section in Nairaland, or if I have, maybe once or twice. But now I'm starting a topic.

We need to change this country. We can. There's no reason to vote back old leaders who are only serving their own interests and who don't understand the concept of modern governance. Buhari returning in 2015 was like Margret Thatcher becoming Prime Minister over Theresa May. We shouldn't let this happen in 2019. Please vote a young Nigerian president who can change things and who can feel the pains of the youth in the country.

The only candidates that come to mind here is Sowore and Fela Durotoye. But honestly I wouldn't touch Fela with a ten foot poll. The guy must have benefited from the rich in this country and kneels before pastors. Sowore is a clear alternative this 2015. Please let's do the right thing. Let's show these old people we can take the country back.
