Well from what you posted it stated fixed deposits are allowed. And the refusal letter he showed that they tried reaching the bank and they did not respond on time. Someone told me he had the same issue with that FCMB. He applied 24th Nov 2019 for priority service and he was told often that decision has not been made. After a suggestion here by someone that the we should reach out to the bank. I told him and the bank just responded Jan 25/26 to the embassy email. He got his passport back 2 days after and he came to UK yesterday. So please everyone applying check on your bank often and avoid some rubbish bank.

Vittor:

Is fixed deposit not allowed?
Because on their site fixed deposits are allowed if you can provide the certificate of deposit..
What do you think?
I thought on verification they meant the bank didn't reply to them via email or calls...so I met with the bank and I was told they weren't contacted by the UK home office...and they agreed they would support me by writing a letter showing that they weren't contacted while going further to write on the genuineness of my fixed deposits and the other bank statement to go along with my administrative review
I also have a case of miscalculation in that my bursary of £1500 from the school was no taken in to consideration as written in my CAS Thus an inflated fee.

Hello everyone,

Thank you all for your contributions. I got my Passport today at TLS. It was a great battle between I and the UKVI. My passport has been approved on 6th of January and should have gotten to me since 9th of January. The school chasing the passport on my behalf with the UKVI. TLS advice I go to British Council to check for my passport. I was told this until my 5 visit. I’m not based in Abuja. I’ve spent a lot of money trying to reach them. Lo! My passport has been in British council ever since. I’ve called UKVI 4 times and I was told decision has bn made. I sent email.

Special Thanks to God and thanks to Nedu.
I wish everyone waiting for their passport good news in Jesus name.

If you misplace your WAEC cert, it will take like a while to get an attestation from WAEC. I think about 6months or so. I will suggest you go with your NECO result provided you pass English with a min of C6 and buy scratch card of the WAEC alongside to prove your case. You can write the school and notify them that you might be presenting another cert.

Good luck.

Ola9292:
Hello house,I used my waec result for admission and unfortunately,I misplaced it. I have original neco too,can I present neco when I arrive at the school or I should just buy waec scratch card and take it along or what can I do? Urgent please.

You would have learn by reading previous thread.

You will need money that is easily accessible. So no fixed deposits and Treasury Bills.

Your salary has nothing to do with Tier 4 visa. Just have the required money for your tuition and living expenses in your account for 28days and you’re good to go. Good luck.

Please I need your advice on this..

desmedallion:

I have been there and I was told TLS don’t escalate anymore. That they did it before. He said he’s sure my passport is in good hands. He also said the they run security check on passport. He said I should keep calling UKVI to escalate again. I wish everyone waiting for passport good luck.

Royalejr:

Go with ur collection slip.. when you get to collection point, they will check and tell you they don’t have it yet. Ask them to kindly escalate that it’s well over the timeline.

The guy I spoke to said he’s also gonna put my application ref in the list he’s gonna send out later that evening. I don’t know if it’s a normal practice but that’s what he said and following day, my tracker moved to next step.

N.B - this is after you are sure ukvi has made a decision o

You mean one can contact the account officer to see if they’ve done their part?

oluwaseunsniper:
Just a heads up.

If you’ve submitted your Application around early or middle December and you’re still awaiting a decision, it may be worth giving your bank a nudge through your account officer to confirm if there’s a pending correspondence from the HO. In as much as the replies are strictly confidential, at least you would know they are not the ones delaying you.

Hello guys,

I applied 30th dec for priority service and I’m yet to get my passport back. I called the UKVI twice and they said decision has bn made. I went to tls and they said my passport is not yet with them. I emailed my school and they said they will contact The UKVI on my behalf. The deadline for my enrollment is 27th of Jan. Please if you have idea how I can go about it. Kindly suggest.

You should try to get what he is saying! If the money showed in your account is truly yours and is intended for your study period, then you don’t have to be concerned about when they verify the account statement. He just want this forum to be clean as much as possible if not many toxic suggestions would’ve be circulating. Everyone needs to play by the rule and not play around it.

H0tbabe:
Well justwise, sorry to say but u r wrong, u can't just assume to know things u don't, I had experience of my bank forwarding to me the same account statement I gave to embassy bearing the same reference number after I got a msg from sheffield my application has been received, It was printed with a current date thus showing my usable balance that's current balance and yes, my money is still intact, it's just me wondering if embassy could have requested so people know contrary to what they think, embassy could verify balance, I'm trying to be sure before concluding so u see? U r wrong.

You will gain a lot from reading previous threads. You can now ask afterwards.

quille11:

@crytonyte @lateef9699 @omopapa

Appreciate your honest answers.

In addition, i like to find out if the tuition fee you pay in the 1st year for a masters prog of 2years covers the 2 year study period. Or would you be paying another fee in the 2nd year?

Also, what if one get the whole tuition fee & mtce fee to be deposited in your own account for the 28 day period. Hope UKBA will not require you to prove source of fund.

Thanks

Login to your visa application and click on "provide documents and biometrics", then "continue" it'd redirect you to TLScontact site and you'd see track there

Abobil:

I had my interview on Yh 3rd of this month and was sent the “ your application is not straightforward” email. I just want to know how far my application has gone.

No need to call anyone.

I did my own on Monday as well, Ikeja VAC. Priority

From what I have read so far, we should be expecting something by Monday or Tuesday.

Just because they said 5 working days doesn't mean it's exactly that 5 working days

I ve be tracking my own and it's still on the third stage, hopefully by Monday something positive will come out

Please I will like to send direct message to you. Thanks

Please where is advisable to do the biometrics Abuja or Lagos ?

Well it happens, with patience other slots will pop up.
From experience, using Premium is not worth it esp in Abuja.
