How is it unrealized? Some of the banks have already included it in their EPS. That is what probably makes UBA to have EPS of about N12.93 in Q3. I stand to be corrected on this assertion though.

Unrealised because whatever instrument they invested in and the value has now gone up purely due to the exchange rate has not been sold and therefore Unrealised.

WHT was mentioned but it only indicates that there will be a further payment as indicated previously. A far lesser payment maybe 1-2 naira

The next step is to apply to NGX for delisting. I think someone said payment will now be within 10 business days from when trading in it is suspended.

Total Asset is the sum of Capital plus liability ( or leverage or loan). All the companies on the exchange have liabilities on their balance sheet. Leverage isn't all bad.
What's bad in my opinion is excessive leverage. If I have N20m in my portfolio and the opportunity of dangsugar or Gsk comes out, why won't I take 5M in margin loan to key into an opportunity that will likely materialise in months while the loan interest is per annum. For me, it all comes down to comparing the possible downside to the potential upside.

I don't think so. I think they are paying 17.42 on the 28th of December and a possible further payout before the end of the 1st quarter 2024

Dangote is planning to list Dangote refinery according to nairametrics. Alhaji should finish with Dangote foods first.

The scheme document states that there's a possibility of payout different from the cash distribution of 17.42. Perhaps some people now know for certain if the payout will be made.

GSK.... Scheme document says payout of N17.42 to be subjected to 10% WHT. Can I still sell and pay 2% broker charge?

Seems that apart from the proposed N17.42, there's still additional money coming to the shareholders of GSK in the first quarter of 2024 or am I not understanding the scheme document well?

It'll probably peak at 16 by Friday. By then people who are not willing to wait will start selling

Is there any word on the street regarding GSK?

In my case, I get dividends for the stock I have on trove within few days of payment. Licensed apps like Meristem (Meritrade) never pay my dividends unless I write long emails and fill forms.
Actually, my Zenith dividends for last year is still with Meritrade. Some hundreds of thousands which they haven't paid me. I filled forms for UCAP but I hate that I have to fill it for each stock I own.

Brokers don't pay dividends, registrars do. Fill e-dividend forms for each of the registrars where you have outstanding and scan back to them for processing and payment.
