What did you do for money while you were there? What about your job in naija?

I was out of job here in Naija for some time. I worked while I was there and was offered promotion to supervisor twice ahead of those I met there, Americans and Hispanics but I couldn't accept cos of my status.

Hi guys,

I was in the US from September 2016 to February 2017 spending almost 5 months after my passport was stamped for the standard 6 months even though I said I was staying for about a month.

I plan to travel this year with my wife and son. Any suggestions as to what to expect from POE regarding my long stay last time?

Thanks

Hi guys,

My sukam inverter (2.4kva) of less than 2 years gets fully charged in about 30mins and gets batteries (2x100ah) gets depleted when in use in less than an hour even with minimal load..

I already spent 11k as I assumed I was scammed for fixing the charging element of inverter.

Can you advise me please?

Thanks

I just checked mine as well... Closed and refused, 15 weeks I think...No medical call..
Lost interest after my observations and michV's informed analysis.
Happy I didn't wait for their refusal but chose to buy my ticket to travel to the US this weekend for other personal stuff rather than wait for them.

Reasons :
Purpose of visit
Current employment situation.

I just checked my cic account now.....LO and BEHOLD "CLOSED AND REFUSED"

I saw it coming anyway. so the jokes are on CIC.
you announced last week fri/sat that ur account has been updated and it seems you applied via online route. To me i feel your donotreply@cic.gc.ca mail is forthcoming any moment

Wow! I'm indeed astounded, you recall my comment and when I made it. Now I believe as you stated that you sift through every comment... This attribute is indeed graceful!

I eventually noticed that the update had to do with my biometric.. Noticed it was updated that day after lose to 3 months.

I haven't given up hope, just trying to forge ahead with other things. This whole process has a way of freezing ones attention .

Thanks a lot bro.

Questions guys.. Kindly assist.

I am yet to be contacted for medicals, by the look of things I will have to defer my admission to September 2017 if everything falls in place.

If the study permit is issued now, will it still be valid for the programme next year?

I will be traveling to the US in a fortnight, if I get a medical mail while I'm away in the US, how do I go about the medicals? Can I do it in the US?

Thanks

donotreply@cic.gc.ca......TRV APPROVED/PPR
Details later
Arcayo.. Keeper of the records. Not paid but diligently carries out his self imposed duty and to crown it all, the very first pgc/d I have seen since I joined.

Pgc/d applications were written off several times, people gave up hope but your light continued to shine!

Congratulations brother and may God answer our yearnings too.

Hello every1 on this trend, Pls i av a question i want 2 ask the gurus n experienced ones on this trend: pls is it possible to get TRV afta a program start date? Or wots d implication of this long-wait for trv most especially pdg/pgc applicants. Av asked dis question severally but i wonder y pple ignored it, even d gurus in d aose. It myt not make sense to u, but if dere is any1 who av seen some1 in d above scenario shud pls bail out. Thanks

I think there was a response that said yes.. You will be required to send deferment letter to cic if you are unable to meet the sessions enrollment.

"Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your account and check your application status and messages for more information."

Message I got from cic this afternoon, I signed in, didn't find a message. I applied June 1, no upfront medical or medical call.

Has anyone experienced this or does anyone have an idea what's up?

Thanks

Good day guys, I applied for a study visa and the duration of 3 months has elapsed, what is the best action I can take to enquire about my status? Response will be appreciated

If you have been following the thread, I guess there's hardly anything you can do but wait.

I guess you are probably in the certificate /pgd category and such applications have been experiencing delays.

I'm 3 months gone as well, I have written accra immigration. They responded that my application is in queue..

thank you. but unfortunately PH has only one CIC approved center which is Prime Medical Consultants which I just called now to book, but they told me DAT my test result wil take 5-10 WORKING days to get to de embassy! which is highly inaceptable bicos embassy asked to ensure de result gets to dem in 14 days! frm yesterday oh

Wow! I must have gotten a wrong information but why not quickly so it instead of flying to lag. Processing time will likely be less than 10days specified.

thanks. what of in terms of swift and promptness of de medical result getting to de embassy. all of dem have same pace?

I know of someone that had medicals in PH, don't have address details but it was processed in 3 days.

If you use google, you can easily get a centre close to you in PH

pls more details on d address, how much do they charge?

From obalende, ask around for how to link alagbon. It's about 5mims or less from there.

Cost: may vary depending on whom you approach and bargaining power. I did mine for 7k, I know people that have done for 10k, 12k.

With the NPF it's difficult to get a straight forward official channel.

thanks guys.....but please can the admissions b deferred till like maybe Jan 2017?

You will have to email your school to find out if there is January opening for your programme. Deferrals for most schools will only be declined after you have had two previous deferrals.
