[quote author=Ddy2013 post=65295007]Hello house, an agent made a mistake filling married. I'm separated from my ex for years now and the case is still in court but i'm pregnant for some one else. And he is the one sponsoring my trip to birth in the US. What do i do as an interview date has been given and i can't have a court wedding while i'm still going through divorce process. So what do i do please?

Hmmm but you can get pregnant while going through divorce process. Anyway, fill another form and use the new ds160 number for your appointment. You can change the old ds160 number to the new ds160 number on your profile.

Mr. Bachelor. Are you back from your trip?
LegitBachelor:
I think you are wrong sir. I did more search and found out Nigeria is exempt from the Six Month Rule. You are only required to have a passport that is valid for your intended period of stay. So if you intend staying for 1 month, then the CBP guys will verify to see if your passport is valid for that stipulated period and then they will stamp just 1 month. But if your passport is valid beyond 6 months they will only stamp 6 months as that's the maximum stay for a visit visa.

I will post an excerpt of what LagosNIV said in that regard:

@Justwise. If name of hotels that render accommodation services mentioned here is adjudged by you to be form of advert. Kindly tell me if HNWMC and name of other hospitals mentioned on this thread are advert or not. Have you ever delete post that contain hospital names?

justwise:
[/b]

Its not my job or part of my responsibilities here to feed you with info, some of those companies mentioned in that post used to place an ad here then they stopped and started using members here to get clients for them.

A simply google search will give you list of accommodations close to the hospital you want to use.

Hi, letter of intent can't update your record at the embassy. You have to reapply for visa to declare your intention to give birth. You will need doctors correspondence and evidence that you can pay your bills. Best of luck.

Hello everyone,I'm new here.just need ur candid opinion.I got my visiting visa early Nov,planned to travel in Dec and also got a new job in Nov,and so I can't travel in Dec again as I'm currently on 3 month probation.I also discovered I was pregnant late Sept before I went for interview but I went for scan and no gestational scan was seen.I was told misabortion in d hospital and to go with my normal life.mid Nov I went for a scan in clinix to just check myself out and pregnancy was confirmed this time.my current plan with husband is to gv birth in US with my tourist visa.he's of the opinion I don't need to register or contact any hospital till I get in US.When we get there then I register.Chicago precisely.I have plan to travel in April that time I will be around 8months.I will be off probation at wk at that time.I have a 2 bro in law in Chicago that I can stay with. One of them is a nurse in cook county hosp.I also hrd that Chicago POE is strict. We currently have plan to hold enough cash at point of entry.my visa is a new one that I've nt use at all.I have also sent letter of intent to embassy on it last week sun till now I've not gotten any response from them.I just need suggestions if all I'm doing is save and is not going to affect my visa renewal.pls help a sis.

Good evening all,

So I went for another interview today after coming out clean that I didn't use my previous visa for the purpose which I was meant for... Transcript below...

VO: Good morning, Passport Please
Me: Good morning and I gave him my passport
VO: Why are you going to the US and where
Me: To have my baby and am going to Boston MANOR
VO: Where will you be staying
Me: Ramada Hotel, gave him the address
VO: What do you do
Me: Told him where I work
VO: What does your DH do
Me: He owns a business and I explain his business and when he started.
VO: How much does he make a month
Me: I told him and he said wow, and I immediately, I told him I have his statements of accounts to prove he make as much as I claimed, he said I should give him the statement of accounts, which I did
VO: Have you travelled outside Nigeria before
Me: Yes, UK, UAE and US
VO: Why US and not UAE to give birth
Me: Because US gives dual citizenship which my first child already has and I don't want to deny my second child the opportunity too
VO: Does your husband have valid visa
Me: Yes and I gave him copy of his visa
Then he asked to see the receipt of my past delivery and I showed him,
VO: Are you using the same contract and hospital
Me: Yes
VO: Have you contacted the hospital
Me: Yes, he asked for the mail and new contract, and I gave him.
VO: Your Visa has been approved and he gave me the white paper.

Lesson: I realised that everybody's story is different but the most important thing is to be always truthful... And likewise, don't be scared about saying the truth.
Most importantly, I prayed, Yes... I prayed.... because the VO did not even talk or say anything about why I was denied last month....which was when I came out clean that I didn't use my visa for the purpose it was meant for before going to give birth.

Thanks to everyone for their contributions here, because if not for this place, I won't know I can go to the embassy and say I want to have my child in the US.

Sorry for the long post.

May God bless you. Amen. As I said, the applicant is very lucky to get the visa. Confidence play no role in a situation when you are not adequately prepared, it can only be luck. Let's call a spade a spade. Some peoples comment on transcript here really makes me laugh cheesy

ladylco:

Abi o and the next thing you will see all of them coming out to say her story did not add up, always trying to be associated to people's visa success. I remember one applicant who stated how he drove himself to the embassy but he had to park his car somewhere in surulere due to traffic and had to give his last cash to the security guarding the place he parked his car with d hope that if he gets the visa, he would not mind trekking all the way back from the embassy, but the guy didn't get the visa eventually. You need to see the way the so called gurus crucified this guy say all him story no add up, simply because he didn't get the visa. Am sure if he got the visa Tori for change. Over sabi too much here abeg

God gave you confidence. It may not always be the same outcome with such confidence next time. You are lucky to have the visa. Better always go with your old passport next time. That is my advice for you.

favorgO5:

Yes it was God I can say that again... he gave me confident ... thanks G

She is very lucky to meet a listening merciful VO that is having a good day. Many people in her situation that fail to provide old passport with visa of their travel history are denied. Any deception always damages overall credibility of visa applicant. Read in between the lines of her interview. From the line, yes I have my old passport in the car and to another story of her driver go with the passport and she even confirm her lie, she said. Me: yes I don't risk foreign food like that(that was a lie sha) except pizza that I bought few times.. my own normal food.
She is very lucky. I must say again she is very lucky to meet such VO, another VO could have deny her the visa. Confidence indeed!!!

LadyGuinivere:

Nwanne no be luck o! Na mega confidence. She was bold enough to take charge of the interview. Regular folks Wuda panicked but she just let the vo know her time was precious.

I'm single , late 20s and look very young
I dressed like I'm d owner of CBN (very smart ) with my Arab perfumes (combine).

I PRAYED, I TRUSTED GOD and I say I won't pay attention to anybody or wish for any particular VO to interview me .. first time application,I read NL front to back and I never asked question from here because I took my time to read and my questions were answered while reading .
Thanks to everybody here, God bless y'all(plenty typos, sorry it's too long to edit)

Hello, your case is simple but I think you are scared because there is change in your plan. You and your wife should go for the vacation in December because that's the main purpose she was issued the visa. She can later go to give birth in February (She said that she would use the visa to give birth in February during her interview) The VO already said she will put it her record that she intend to use the visa for birth next year in February. If what you said is true, you have no reason to be scared. Your wife should tell the CBP what the VO said that it's noted during her interview that she will be using the visa to give birth in February. Get all necessary documents needed for your wife POE, doctor's correspondence, evidence of funds available to pay her bill etc. Best of luck.

Weperwema:
@ Everyone Pls I need clarification with this Annotation on the visa page.

DW went for interview and was granted Visa
During the interview she on her own informed the VO that she was pregnant even though she just applied to go on vacation with me this December(I have visa already and traveled before). The V.O asked if she intends to give birth in the US and she responded by saying.... that would be next year in February. The V.O then said he would put that in her records but that she should inform them at the POE when she is doing and get necessary papers ready. Now she is considering going to deliver next year January because the allowed office leave for the December is just for fewer days than expected. She is now planning to deliver in Missouri.

How can we know what Annotation is on her visa?
Would she have any challenge at the POE even with all her possible compliance?

Madam, you really make me laugh. I can see a python dance approach. I'm quite sure you are aware that birth thread exist on Nairaland before hiding on this thread. Your husband friend will soon know the consequences of her action in future. The fact that your husband friend had the visa does not mean that you will also have the visa if you go through same route. All visa applicant are qualified on their own merit. Nothing is special in going for interview in December. You can go with your belle shooting out for your interview as long as you declare your intention to give birth. I will advice you to take your time and do the right thing, declare your intention to give birth in USA, search for Doctor and establish a correspondent with the Doctor. Prepare your budget and make sure you can afford it without seeking medicaid. I'm sure you will get the visa if you are honest in your application. Best of luck.

I'm so happy for the quick responses i got up there, thank u very much. Now, lemme answer ur questions so that u pple can really put me through. The wife of My husband's friend had her baby in d USA few months ago, so my husband wants me too to go av my baby in d USA. She got a family visa o; her husb and daughter too later joined her after she put to bed although all of them are back home now. The entire plan is dt when my baby is a citizen, dt wl give me an acess to relocate later. So now we av paid to gtb and we want to book for interview. Since our purpose as stated on d form is for visiting, i was thinking dt if my belle is shooting out already they may suspect us. D was d same thing my hubby's friend did bt they had their interview in dec dt is y we too ar desperate for december. I know we have pple of better experience here, PLS PUT US THROUGH ON WHEREVER WE MIGHT AV BEEN WRONG. Should we choose march wen children wld b on holiday and my belly is already obvious or we can av d interview in january and tell them we want to go by march. Although if we later get the visa, i may go around May or June when im close to delivery.

Congratulations. The bold lines got you the visa. Good that you let the VO know it's because of dual citizenship. Someone in your same situation that have travel to UK many times was refused, the VO asked her why not give birth in UK but she did not tell the VO what they expect to hear. It's time to open up during the interview to let the VO know it's because of the dual citizenship. I salute your courage, congrats!!!

Hello, I have to be honest with you, i will also refuse you the visa. You are alien in Dubai, you have only work for 22 months. Do you have a temporary or permanent residence in Dubai? Did your family live with you in Dubai? I doubt if you have a strong tie in Dubai aside your work of 2000 dirham = 195752.80 Nigerian Naira that you may decide to abandon for a greener pasture in States. You need to build a strong tie either in Dubai or in Nigeria, coming home to Nigeria to apply does not mean you will get the visa if your tie in Nigeria is as weak as Dubai tie. Best of luck.

tboii:
Please I need suggestions on what to do next, I went for my interview today at Dubai consulate and I was denied, here is how it went, just 3 questions

Me: Good morning
Vshocked morning , why do you want to go to the USA ?
Me: am going on my annual leave to visit my uncle
Vshocked how many months have you worked here?
Me: 22 months
Vshocked what’s your monthly income
Me: 2000 dirham
Vshocked sorry you are not qualified pass me white paper( Dubai 214b)

Am thinking I come back to Nigeria to reapply but how soon can I reapply ..what should I do next because am confused, right now

Hello, you don't buy appointment date, don't let anyone deceive you. Keep checking by refreshing the appointment page, you may be lucky to get appointment date in November or December. The VO is likely to ask if you are pregnant. It's better you declare you are pregnant but you will not be seeking medical treatment to give birth, but if your intention is to give birth and you lie to get the visa, I bet you that will be the last US visa you will ever get. The fact that your pregnancy is obvious does not mean you will not get the visa if you meet the visa requirements that include demonstration of a good tie to your home country. Your preparation is too late. You fully know yourself that you should be at work in January and your kids should be in school. Take your time and plan adequately for flexible time for vacation or holiday. Best of luck.
