Nani as frustrating as ever, J.S Park running around like a headless chicken. I felt like grabbing a few of them by the throat and shake some senses into them. We never closed them down, gave away possesions so easily and there was a carrick shaped hole in that midfield. Complacency at its best!

Romance / Re: Sex On A First Date - Does It Kill A Potential Relationship ? by kristos(m): 12:40pm On Oct 30, 2009
i have been with my fiancee for five years now, we are tying the knot soon and we had sex on the first date. IMO it does not matter to me if it is on the first or 100th date. I don't see how it means that a lady is cheap because she had sex on a first date that's crazy. It takes two to tango, why must the lady be cheap and the guy a god angry angry. People should stop promoting such ridiculous notions. Sex on the first date should not kill a potential relationship unless either of the party is a jerk.

I shoot with AK47 or bazoka and I would blow your bleeping head off and at the end of the day, we shall know. You silly thing

I have noted how you dish out insults without any reason. There was no need to start abusing tayoccu. He has a right as much as you to post his opinion about chelscum.

Politics / Re: Updated! Skye Bank Sued For Female Prostitution ( Now In New York) by kristos(m): 11:07am On Oct 21, 2009
Though i am not holding brief for the lady, but the way some of these banks go about their marketing is shameful. I have a lot of friends working in banks and they always complain about having to meet targets. Those saying that no manager can tell you to sleep with potential clients, "are you kidding me?". I know of a particular lady that the manager told not to come back without the cheque of a randy old goat. She might not have been told outrightly to sleep with customers but we can't say that it was not implied.
@ those ladies that commented: that was shameful coming from you ladies.

Dear God, we humbly come to you asking that you empower our boys today to dispatch the germans to their home. Remember, dear God how their ancestor hitler massacred the jews.

Please God, make the germans commit tactical errors, may they be heavy on the ball, direct the feet of our strikers to the net not to stand 1345, may the same spirit that guided our 94 dream team be upon these boys today, so that your beloved nigerian people would not die of heart attack.

Finally God, i know that the germans would be trying to reach you, please put call barring on their number.

@CoolG
Crap Lies. London is the key financial centre of EU.

And for the amount you mentioned, there is no where in EU you will pay cheap tax like 12%.

Crap lies again.
Means you did not work anymore after that? Since the employer will ask for your work place and how much you earn. Think before you write here Bobo CoolG, even we wey dey naija, we know whats up!
Madam, CoolG was practical and objective in his posts and since you were not there, i think it is insulting to say that he lied without proof. Secondly, you have strayed from the issue on discourse to personal attack, you have not responded to his post within the confines of the debate. I think it is more honourable not to argue if you don't have facts to back it up.

@desthan, it is only a fool that jump into a matter that doesn't concern him with a foolish conclusion. i will also agree that your parent wasted allot of money on u because u have no manners.i was good enough to win the best scholarships in d state where i reside. therefore, my parent doesn't have to spend a dime on me
.

It doesn't hurt to browse through a thread without commenting. It is more gratifying to keep silent and be considered a fool, than speak and remove all doubt. Nobody gives a rat a*s if you are studying in one of the best universities in the US. The grammatical errors found in just three lines of your post is enough to judge just how good your school is, if in fact you attend any school. Your abusive remarks shows just how good your background is. You are a disgrace to educated folks.

Business / Re: CBN To Issue N5, N10, And N50 Notes In Polymer Substrate Like The N20 Note by kristos(m): 8:36am On Sep 18, 2009
It is quite unfortunate that some people do not get thier facts right before they start to post.
1.
UNLEASHED:

Bloody pigs!! Are US dollars polymer?? I guess that's what's next during this econ meltdown, polymer or whatever, It's still pathetically useless!
US more or less functions as a cashless society, hence there is no need to make their currency more durable, but we know that everything in Nigeria is cash.

globatop:

Hmm,

I wonder who has tested this #20 polymer note and confirm that it is better than the old paper money, is it the rich that hardly come in contact with the smaller denomination or the market women that sells commodity below #50 in value, who is in better position to recommend polymer notes.

Polymer notes are worthless, deface easily, torn to shred with time, unacceptable once sellotaped. Good for CBN cause the defaced, and sellotaped never find their way into their vault, hence they dont print replacement, the masses bear the loss.

Please polymer notes are not better, Nigerians should reject it, Nigeria is the only country where Govt dont care about feedback on their policies, either good or bad, once it translates to extra income for pple in Govt.

It might suprise you to know that there is a department called Research and Development in the Nigerian mint. The highlighted part shows how ignorant you are of the term polymer.
koolchicco:

Changing of currency notes. Is this our major problem?

The CBN is doing Its Job. Tell that to YARADULL.
sunmatajai:

Its just an additional waste of national precious resourses. Be it polymer or polypaper they both wear out as time passes. Changing of Naira notes should be left all alone for now and give attention to more serious issues- issues that directly affect the life of masses in general(the utilities and public goods). More orientation and naira handling education is what Nigerians need particularly the Iyalojas(market women) and the youngs.

ogidiolu
The polymer substrate may cost more than the paper but in the long run, due to its durability, it is more cost effective.
ilohim:

Mallam Sanusi is definitely full of intrigue, he has finished with 'cleasing' the banking sector, he has moved on to changing naira notes!

My question: Is it not going to cost us quite some money to print the new notes?! What do we need them for?

Is that the problem of this country now? Spending money unnecessarily when there are more burning issues like undergraduates being at home for over three months(ASUU & FG deadlock),no light,NUT has also gone on a permanent strike;almost everyone in this country is on strike, yet we are wasting tax payers money to print new notes!

This government sure has their priorities all mixed up!

Worsestill, none, not even half of any of the seven point agenda has been achieved.

How sad!

Sanusi is implementing a policy, he did not initiate it.
deezah:

I agree that the 20naira notes tear easily and are quite useless after that. People dont even accept it when it's mended with cellotape because unlike d paper notes which are barely noticeable after mending, the polymer's flashy nature makes it so obvious, hence d refusal to accept it.

The above makes sense though. Something should be done about the nature of the polymer so we can further enjoy it, methinks.
Except you go out of your way to tear a polymer note it does not tear by mistake.

Pro Anti:

Nairalanders and Sanusi,

How long does it take to print currency notes. It seems Sanusi Lamido had several plans even before he became CBN governor. If not, how long did he take him to realise that we needed new 50 naira notes. It seems he started printing the notes as soon as he came into office.

The notes are ready for release in less than two weeks. This simply means he started the process without informing Nigerians
.

Sanusi recently printed 420billion he injected into the 5 banks, He obviously wasted money by printing notes that would be phased out less than 6 months later.

New notes were printed in 2007 (not sure though). Why discard those notes 2 years later all in the name of polymer.

Mr Sanusi wants his signature on the notes. All he is trying to do is out-do or bastardise Soludo's achievements.

May God bless Nigeria.
May God bless our confused leaders.
May God bless the hungry masses.

FYI the polymer notes has been printed from the beginning of this year long before Sanusi became the CBN gov.
