Giving is encouraged as christains for the propagation of God's work and i give regularly, but i draw a line when some dude with good oratorial skills climbs the pulpit and tell me that if i don't pay my tithes, i am cursed. Christains can decide to be giving 1%,10%, 20% etc. of their income, i have no problem with that, but saying that it is a prerequisite for God's blessing is a complete fallacy. The pastors put unnecessary burdens on thier members making them give to God, not out of worship but out of keeping a nonexistent law. I give when i can but nobody is gonna say anything to make me part with 10% of my income every week/month. To those who think that they suffer misfortune cos they did not pay their tithes. YOU ARE SO DELUDED.

This has somehow been a persistent problem in relationships and marriages. This is a man whohas known these friends foe almost all his life, just because you might not like the way such a person wears his/her clothes you ask him to cut off. it is easier said than done. I agree with some who has posted ealier: your friend should try to get close to this lady, and find out what it is about her, that makes her husband unwilling to let go of her. People asking her to call up old male friends is like asking her to "cut off her nose to spite her face", she might end up loosing her home. Friends are a part of us, some has stuck with us through thick and thin and i just don't let go of such friends because my wife said so.

i often hesitate to comment on the niger delta struggle and militancy, but there are some salient points that needs to be considered:
1. kidnapping potential investors and fellow citizens, does it help the niger delta agitation?

2. Bombing oil installations and spilling oil on your land , how does it affect the people in Government?

3. Making the niger delta region unsafe for habitation, does it affect Yaradua?

4. The ransome gotten from kidnapping and the money gotten from oil bunkering, what has MEND used it to do for those people they are agitating for?

I doubt the so called objectives of MEND and i think they are not totally representing the wishes of the niger delta people.
