Meanwhile, FYI your entire post is actually horseshit.

The ARB is a firmware feature. You can easily move to the affected rom versions sef, as long as you don't upgrade the firmware.

You CAN flash whatever MIUI rom you want provided you DO NOT FLASH THE FIRMWARE to the ARB affected one

If you delete the firmware folder in the rom and edit the update script, you can flash it.


Meanwhile, Xiaomi's ARB implementation is wrong. There's a good reason why you don't hear complaints from other OEM users . Even on Pixels you can downgrade.


Xiaomi's flashtool currently won't downgrade the firmware even in EDL mode.

The above and a lot more, is why it isn't the best idea to advice noobs to flash their xiaomi phones at this time.

The reason you can move to custom ROMs is because they usually don't include the firmware folder in them....

I know exactly why I made that post, my friend and it's not for the benefit of folks like you that know how to flash a zip.

Guys please i need to flash my note 4. i forgot my pattern and mistakenly restarted the phone so i cant use fingerprint. so i'm locked out of my phone and need any way to flash it. my bootloader isnt unlocked neither have i done any special stuff on it since i got it as im not too techy. please an way?. Have you tried NTFS file system format, try to fix error via the properties menu of the flash on PC and sure the phones you tried with earlier supports OTG functionality? If those didn't work, check the micro B connector if ok.

If any of those didn't work, you may want to open dispute or just sell it off.
