careytommy7: I've read part of it. The link for the first process is no longer available, so I wonder how that tallys with rest of the instructions in that link.
Please try and post a step by step process of how you went about it. Thanks Check @jboixxx signature. Every link to how to tweak any Xiaomi device is there. |

Protein0: Good morning fellas. It seems I missed the camera talks. There are absolutely more to the camera samples posted by donfamous. Just as if it's not the note 4x I know. I challenge you to provide the k7 to a famous NLer who stays in Lagos and can do a camera comparison with a note 4x I will arrange in Lagos too. A tecno Stan once created a thread on a similar topic in the past and we all know the sequela. Gptech did a camera comparison with a supposed camera-targetted model of the tecno and we all saw. To sum up, we all know the selling points and Achilles heels of samsung, iPhone, LG, Motorola, and some other smartphone giants. Tecno, let's assume is a smartphone producer too, has what selling points? Don't let's ask for its downs I been wan ask where Oga Protien0 dey since. |

acekid109: mehn dat cardinal na fire. Far better dan miui, very stable and consumes less battery. I use viper os for my mi 5s plus and Gcam its great too. I convinced my bro to use cardinal on his own rn4 and he's been loving it since then even updated to 5.3.1 yesterday, it only gets better I will upgrade to the latest by weekend cuz that's the time I usually get to relax and do new things to my phone. I hear Margarita is better in 5.3.1. |

acekid109: Who uses Gcam here? The new version with portrait mode rocks and it improves picture quality a lot. The portrait mode is awesome. It really looks like pictures taken with expensive cameras and it works with most phones. I tried it on redmi note 4 and my mi 5s plus, its the bomb the attached picture is one of the samples from the redmi note 4 photography group on telegram taken on a redmi note 4. I think the last time I saw MIUI run on my RN4X was last year's October... Gcam and Cardinal has made me care less about upgrading to a Redmi 5Plus. There are plenty things to explore about this phone, but the time noh dey. The ones I managed to, have given me complete satisfaction. |

Gptech: You can install updates but will immediately lose root privilege. The only way not to lose root privilege is to be flashing the updates through your custom recovery, that means you'll always need to backup your data, and download the full roms of over 1 gig each time you want to update. With Redwolf Recovery he can still run normal weekly incremental update without downloading the full ROM... About root privileges, he can always flash Magisk zip file after updating through recovery. |

acekid109: i have the full rom. I'll reflash it tonight. Then I haven't completely discharged it since i started using it too, maybe thats y After re-flashing the ROM, completely drain the battery till the phone switches off by itself; Then charge to 100% without switching it on. That's the best way to manually calibrate your battery. |

My People... My People... We are one family... with different dreams, ideas, indifferences and solutions... We are one. Let's not argue too much about this.
Ehm... Oga Noobody... Biko... Beckon your client. If he is okay with the MiA1 and he his comfortable to drop the remaining cash to augment the cost of the initially ordered device, then do the needful.
If he's not comfortable with the above, please do find a way to arrange for the initially ordered Note 4 for your client.
You're not selfish in anyway cuz if you were, you wouldn't have brought this up here for everyone to chip in... That's why people hold you up high at a very high esteem.
One Love. |
