247notire: This your reasoning is very shallow.
Now see, there is a reason why federal character was enshrined in the Nigerian constitution young man.
Due to our diversity, it was therefore necessary to come up with a framework like the aforementioned so as to eliminate the chances of any ethnic group or geopolitical zone raising dust about marginalization.
You cannot exclude every other region from the most important offices (security) and expect everyone to keep mum. It cannot happen.
Talking about effective, do you honestly believe that Buhari can vouch for their effectiveness and suitability for those posts? Do you mean to imply that all those offices all occupied by people from his region (remember the security offices are the most essential in every govt), there was no persons found from other regions who could play the role and very effectively too?
My friend, Buhari must make conscientious efforts to imbibe the principle of federal character in his appointments otherwise, the feelings of marginalization in other regions with the ensuing unrests are just in the teething stages.
As for the ND crisis it is simply because Nigeria as a country has never had a visionary leader as president.
If we did, the ND would be competing with the likes of Dubai and other hubs in the world where oil money is made.
Stop being one directional in your thinking. and i'm telling u **** that feder character is one of nigeria's major problems.. It should be scrapped.. Is there any problem if all appointees come from a region and do their jobs efficiently. What has d so-called federal character caused nigeria in d past administration? Bountiful harvest of corruption. Because u r trying to please one ethnic group or the other, u appoint the wrong ppl for d wrong jobs.. Why dem no go steal money? Tsheww go and do a proper research on d disadvantages of federal character before u come here and start spewing thrash like someone suffering from electoral defeat induced depression (EDID) |

Stingman: ..So you believe it is right to always make an aboki the FCT minister in Abuja, and still make aboki the minister and GMD of the oil industry? Why do you people not fear GOD or the universe...? Where is the fairness in all this..The north is simply saying that they own Nigeria...Yorubas seems to agree with that notion...but IPOB.NDA and other southern stake holders are saying that it can't hold for too long... are u kidding me? Did u say fairness? For God's sake when will all these ethnic bias end in nigeria? My dear ipob that thinks he wants to be dominated, i dont care if all buhari's appointees are from daura village... So long as buhari trusts them and they are effective @ their jobs. All this ethnic sentiments of ''we want our ppl there'' is what has been nigeria's problem.. Everybody wants a piece of the pie. And osinbajo is right. Those avengers abi justice league or whatever cartoon names they bear are fighting for their pockets. Thats the bitter truth. Go to niger delta and u will see on average.. Their men dont work.. They will just be collecting stipends from govt every month, go to d bar and get drunk. When d money stops flowing, they will pick up weapons and say they are fighting for their lands. Biko what lands? |

Spot on joe igbokwe.. I commend u for speaking the truth as it is despite the bigotry of d ipob flats who insult u not knowing they are just proving ur points to be true and factual. The same ipob flat heads that didnt mince a word of complaint during jonathan's regime even when he did worse things. So buhari got all northerners in places of power? So what? Dele momodu said he doesnt care if all his appointees are from daura and so do i... So long as they deliver and do their jobs effectively. That is how yorubas think.. We dont work with ethnic bias. We are way ahead of that thats why we have the most peaceful learned and flourished regions in d whole nigeria. How many yorubas will u find in d east or north? But this ipob Igbos will go everywhere because there yansh cant stay in their homeland(the one they are clamouring for to secede) and yet they destructively criticize and rain insults the moment they feel they want to subdued... This same mentality that cost them over a million lives in the sacrificial biafra war. When will u guys wake up and develop ur lands and let ur ppl stay there and realize no one is trying to subdue u but ur deluded minds. They call yorubas cowards. All because we choose to outsmart ppl with senses rather sacrifice our lives by fighting. Look at the political sphere and tell me who controls it more. (awolowo, obj, tinubu) yorubas... What an igbo would try to accomplish by gra gra.. A yoruba accomplishes faster by applying wisdom and diplomacy.. I can bet it that if it were yoruba that wanted to secede, we would have done it a long time ago without a single blood shed.. Wake up igbos.... Wake up.. Hian |

Orikinla: [size=20pt]Any Nigerian movie not competing at Durban, Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Sundance and other world class international film festivals is not acclaimed. Except by uninformed local reporters. Nollywood and Kannywood must stop circulating in the same pool. South Africa has won Academy Awards and Nigeria has not even made the nominations and what are we celebrating? Second class filmmakers? Even Cameroon, Chad, Mauritania, Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia and other African countries have competed for the highest honors at Cannes and some of them have won the major awards. But Nigerian filmmakers have not qualified for the competitions. So, what are we bragging about or celebrating? We need to grow up.

mrwonlasewonie: Painment
In private universities the lecturers are monitored by established institutional frameworks set in place to avoid exchange of vagina for grades, exchaging students Mark with each other and other vices we see in public universities .if a student complains about sexual harassment by a lecturer and the student fails they will check her past records whether that's her trend, find out whether she's an A,B or C student. Another exam will be conducted for her in that particular course and iF she fails she will go on suspension for slander and telling wicked lies against the lecturer. She will also be the one to pay an entirely different lecturer for his services, stay in the university guest house and his feeding who the school will hire (something similar to external examiner) who will mark her work but iF she passes the course that's the end of that lecturers career.he cannot work in that university or any other university because letters will be sent to other universities.
So what that person typed is complete balderdash. Every student in private university EARNS whatever grades they get irrespective of the millions they pay as school fees and by the way the school fees is payment of services and efficient service delivery so that his or her 4 years Will be 4years and have easy access to university facilities and services
On the other hand public university lecturers that fail students do it out of ego to show they're still the boss or they know more than the student. In some cases if the student in a public university is asking too much questions and the lecturer can't answer it the lecturer might start bullying the student academically and suffocate his intelligence /quest for more knowledge till he becomes a passive student
So stop comparing death and sleep because they're incomparable so explain to me why these federal unis especially OAU UI and unilag keep whooping the asses of private unis in interschool competitions and debate? And why d same fed unis end up representing nigeria in intl competitions. U cant pay that heavy amount of fees and fail na. They would sack d lecturer and private unis have holiday classes to make up for failed courses. Wat a joke. A lecturer in OAU turned down a job in bowen coz dey told him he had to give half of his exam questions as practise questions to d students. His conscience couldnt take it. U r here saying wah u dont know |

Gaddafithe2nd: Mr man, you are wrong. Before a manager can go ahead with any contract, his/her employer must give him/her permission. Even if the artiste is late, the manager has no power to sell the intellectual property of the deceased without the permission of the deceased family. Robin Thick paid millions of dollar for recycling Marvin Gay's song without seeking permission from his family. Intellectual property last for 99years before it expires. but would the deal be possible without the manager being involved NO. And it all depends on the contract signed between the artist and the manager. If the contract says that in the advent of the artist's, the manager can grant permissions to copyright the dead artist's song, then he can even without consulting the family members. Even if stated otherwise, the manager would still be involved in the process. The point i was trying to discredit is that a mentally ill person cant have a manager. Read the post i quoted na.
