Well, if you must know this, Application for NN DSSC Course 29 is not certain as it's usually expected due to the controversial proposal as regards certain official matters but anything can still ensue.

wow! What a write up! Well, if you must know this, never a time have i come across your discipline among the required ones in any navy dssc application so far...
The most related to your discipline I have ever seen is chemistry education ie under EDUCATION.

Some Dssc cadets were screened out on medical ground but I can't tell now if they have been released to go to their various destination due to the restriction of movement(covid-19) ........ More Details later

No one reported beside those whose names were shortlisted(reserve excluded), some reserve candidates were called not to report until they are contacted, nevertheless, those on supplementary list would be contacted sooner via text as they are currently reviewing the list, and the timing as well.... placed a call where? And u think any caller can just devour a vital information from the secretariat. Hahahaha.... what pijay posted was so realistic. Anyone who would luckily be called upon to report must be highly recommended, medically and physically fit and be clever so as to catch up with his or her colleagues. So if its one's destiny, definitely things shall work positively for him or her. NOTE: They would be three months by next month, for those that reported first.

There is a directive that some cadets should be added to the ones already on training cos more officers would be needed to curb insurgency, so pray and pray very hard as only just few would be selected in no time. Goodluck!

pls , i wanted to find out if any other person is having difficulties selecting their year of birth for the recent nigerian navy recruitment for medical personnel. The issue is i can't pick any year from 1990 and above for date of birth.
Also i studied microbiology and microbiologist were among the wanted personnels, i wanted to clarify if they meant doctors with microbiology as a specialisation. Please i need an urgent reply. Thank you.

Ongoing NN Recruitment Exercise is strictly meant for Consultants of the listed Disciplines, So don't assume at all by even applying if you are not a Consultant of any of the required discipline stated on the recruitment portal.

facing the board is the final stage of the selection board interview not the final list. Thereafter, the list would be sent to NNhq via navsec for its endorsement for publication and commencement of training of those successfully shortlisted.

DRRR means Directorate of Recruitment, Resettlement and Reserve (DRRR)

Nigerian Army Short Service Commission (Combatant) accept graduates of all discipline but one shouldn't exceed 29yrs of age. So you can fit in there.

I want to know why dssc is the army usually retires at brgd gen or Con?
Can't they keep going till they reach major Gen or lt Gen?
Also is their promotion automatic after each 4 years?

In the Army DRC Officers can reach the rank of a Major General if there is vacant in his or her corp. Some DRC officers in the army retired as Major General. In corps like Finance, ordnance, Education, supply and transport and medical. Note that even some regular officers in the army retired at the rank of colonel and Brig gen too due to one reason or the other.

As for their promotion being Automatic, YES, DRC officers have automatic promotion in the Army till date.

Pls I'm asking for the sake of the next application. Can someone with a BSc in Geography apply for the Nigerian Navy DSSC under Hydrography? The qualifications I saw were;

"7. HYDROGRAPHY: Applicants must possess
a BSc or HND in the following fields.
1. Cartography.
2. Surveying/Geoinfomatics.
3. Geophysics.
4. Physical Oceanography."

I have a BSc in Geography, do I fit in?
