Ymc007:Nice, I believe we would pull through with the re-application. |
dingbang:Really, what's the greed in there? Accepted, we never read the instructions carefully or that we were optimistic we could still make it through. Kindly find out the meaning of greed before you use it in sentences. By the way, I have re-applied since wednesday for the assurance role and I haven't gotten a regret mail, and I wouldn't get. Thanks. |
I just got this tonight. Dear XXXXXXX, Thank you for your application for the position of "PwC Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 - Advisory Services". Regretfully your application has been unsuccessful and we are unable to proceed with your application. We wish you a bright and successful career. Yours sincerely, Toyin Oyeneye i applied for Advisory though, without a year cognate experience. I guess that's the reason for the regret mail. However, I want to ask TheRealAdonye if I can re-apply for the assurance and tax section... |

I have seen so many reports, but over 70% claim to like their service year in Oyo State. We know that no matter how a thing is good, it definitely would have a stint. Though the state doesn't pay much and it infact isn't regular (N3800). But attimes you know its not about the money. We also have to look at the issue of security and the quality of their PPAs. Once again, I welcome all of us to Oyo State, the state of Gov. Ajimobi. |

wadetaw202:Well, Network marketing doesn't necessarily mean you sell products. Make your research well. The fact that you had a bad experience with a company doesn't make the whole industry a devil. Thanks. |

THE TORN 100 NAIRA NOTE By Kayode Oluwaseun David, Head Facilitator, Human Refinery. I woke up as usual around 5 am with the cold harmattan weather drying up my skin. I thought they said harmattan in Lagos isn't as cold as it is meant to be, if this is not what it is meant to be then I rather not leave Lagos during harmattan. Shortly after I woke up, my dad walked into the room to tell us it was time for early morning devotion, then I got up from my foam in which I lay on at night. As I was rising, then I saw a folded hundred naira note under the DVD player on the shelf. My attention drew towards it and I begin to look at it with a lot of curiosity and interest. Well, my interest was borne out of the fact that my pocket is dry. I was broke and I couldn't even recharge my phone with a hundred naira worth of airtime. So the sight of that 100 naira note drew my attention and caused a mixed feeling in me of which I was thinking that: -Should I be happy that I now got a solution to my phone's hunger of airtime?; -Or should I feel bad that I am about to take money which isn't mine? This generated actions in which I decided to take the 100 naira but first I would give the owner a chance to take it, so I decided to wait till everyone's out and if the money is still there, then I would just assume the owner doesn't need it and I can take it. Throughout the prayers, I started fantasizing on how I would buy the airtime to recharge my phone and then subscribe for data to be online and chat a little with my friends. After the prayers, I watched my junior sister prepare for school and I was praying earnestly that she does not take the money as it could be hers. Then she picked up her bag and left without even looking at the DVD, then I was happy the first hurdle has been crossed. By and by, everybody left remaining my dad who was taking his breakfast. Then I started with all the news on TV. I started discussing with him on recent happenings. All these discussions were in a bid to make him forget the money under the DVD, as obviously he is the only potential claim to the 100 naira note. So, he finished taking his breakfast and then pulled up from the chair and put on his shirt on his already worn trousers and shoes, then he took his bag and I was just doing everything to make sure he doesn't think about the DVD at all not to talk of the 100 naira note under it. My dad was gone, he left for work without checking the money at all. Yeah!!! I am the lucky dude. Then I rushed to get my tooth brush, I had to go wash my teeth because I can't afford to go purchase the airtime with smelly mouth from Aunty Funmi (the tailor that sells recharge card). After washing my mouth, I searched for a trouser and a shirt to put on. Then I rushed to the DVD player on the shelf and then I got the wrapped up 100 naira note, and I set out to go and get the airtime. On my way to Aunty Funmi's shop, READ THE FULL POST HERE: https://humanrefinery./2015/12/21/the-torn-100-naira-note/ (Kindly, read up this nice inspirational piece before setting out this morning, its worth it.) |
ITS OFFICIALLY OUT!! DIARY OF A FUNAABITE (PART 7) - HOW ECO 201 ALMOST MADE ME A PASTOR. BY KAYODE OLUWASEUN DAVID ECO 201 – Principles of Microeconomics is an economics course which I have to take as an accounting student, you can imagine that misplaced priority. This course was taught by Dr (Mrs) Deola Williams, the then HOD of Economics. I wonder if that woman studied her own Economics on earth, or maybe it’s the economics of Mars or Jupiter. I am saying this because in as much as I tried to understand that course, prayed and fasted for more than 7 days and 7 nights for the understanding of ECO 201, my brain still was blocked to the crazy graphs that all look the same but with different meanings. I knew I was in for it when a graph was used to explain a note that was written with 4 pages of a higher education note. Don’t mistake me for an “olodo” though. God knows I am bright, infact I was the best mathematics student in Primary school among my friends, though Ayo one of my very good friend was brighter than me then and he is always the 10th position in class, while I follow him steadily and maintained my 11th position the way Arsenal always maintain the 4th position on the EPL table every blessed season. Ayo remained the best student among our group of friends because he was pretty good in French and Yoruba. How would I ever know which is which, when both the long run demand curve and the short run demand curve have the same length of curve on the board whenever Dr Deola is teaching. I thought with the name, one is meant to be shorter than one? The confusion in this course is too much for the capacity of my bright mind and brain. Well, I never gave up. I was determined to get an A in that course, but not with my brain. READ MORE HERE--]]] https://humanrefinery./2015/10/14/diary-of-a-funaabit-part-7-how-eco-201-almost-made-me-a-pastor/ |

KAYODE OLUWASEUN WRITES: There has being news of the Former Central Bank Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, marrying a woman of 18 years all over the media, and it has really gathered a lot of comments. My Take: The constitution of Nigeria however has however being silent on the marriageable age for females. However there are still some points to note in the constitution which i would outline: -The provision of section 29 of the Nigerian Constitution says “any Nigerian of full age can renounce his or her citizenship” and some conditions were set such as: (4a) under section 29 which says 18 years and above (4b) said any married woman. -Part 1 Section 61 of the 1999 Constitution, when a person marries a child under Islamic law in Northern Nigeria and is consequently in contravention of the Child Rights Act (CRA), such a person cannot be prosecuted because the Federal Government would be interfering with an Islamic marriage and would be in violation of Part 1 Section 61 of the 1999 Constitution. Looking at the first law, the constitution did not define who a married woman is, but it is trying to tell us that a married woman has the right to make decisions and choices. It also brought a correlation between someone who is 18 years+ and a married woman. In a simple mathematical manner we can chose to say: *****18 years and above = Married woman***** That apart, the second law made us know that the Islamic law on marriage holds irrespective of any Child Rights Act as the Fed Govt is powerless against such laws. It is vividly clear, and I can say out-rightly that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (SLS) has done nothing wrong in marrying the 18 year old WOMAN. I know that so many people have gone on social media (facebook, twitter, google+) in protest to the issue, some even promoted the hashtag #ChildNotBride. Well, I shake my head at some of them, because it is still this same people that would be chasing girls below 18 on the streets. Probably, they haven’t seen an 18 year old graduate who has achieved more than them, that is why they are seeing this as an abomination or seeing the Adamawa princess as immature. I, Kayode Oluwaseun D. hereby make a Clarion call to the Governor Elect of Ogun State Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Federal and State Representatives Elects of Ifo Local Government Constituencies as touching the state of that suburban. By-Kayode Oluwaseun David Muhammadu Buhari is a Nigerian politician who served as the military ruler of Nigeria (December 31, 1983 - August 27, 1985). He was overthrown in a military coup staged by Gen Ibrahim Babangida on Aug 27 just because he wants to investigate the allegations made about the fraudulent award of contracts in the ministry of defence. Afterwards, the General contested in four democratic elections in 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015 on the platforms of ANPP, ANPP, CPC and APC respectively. In the March 2015 general elections, Gen Muhammadu Buhari emerged the President Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria defeating incumbent President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan with over 2 million votes. Buhari, who wept at the 2011 general elections last campaign spurred up an influx of emotions in me. This was a man who at that time was contesting that office for the third time. This was a man who at that time was seen by many Christians in the south as a religious bigotrist, and someone who would convert all Nigerians to the Muslim faith (How possible is that?), and because of this reason he lost the election as so many believed in the personality of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan back then. After having lost in the polls to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, one would say that Gen Buhari would put a stop to his presidential race there, only to know that the General was willing to come into alliance with two other political parties so as to form a strong opposition group against the ruling party. In December 2014, he emerged as the Presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and went to the polls even after there were many propagandas against him tagging him as a religious bigotrist, an illiterate, and also a liar as he has said he would no longer contest after the 2011 election. The General who could not hold back his love for his motherland, despite all personality stains made on him by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) calling him a stark illiterate among others still went to the polls at 72 and contested the election under the aegis of the broom party in which he finally clinched victory and defeated the incumbent president thereby making history in Nigeria's democracy. This story of victory can be likened to that of Abraham Lincoln, a legendary president of the United States of America who after several loses, won the Presidential seat in the U.S. This story of victory is inspirational and motivational and has made me realise that no matter how far, or how long, a conceived dream consistently pursued without distractions would be achieved... This story of victory has made me believe in the Spanish quote "Que Sera Sera" which means "What will be, will be". This story of victory has renewed my belief in a new Nigeria that is going to be a construction spearheaded by the new Lead Engineer Muhammadu Buhari and by all Nigerians who would are going to be in the field contributing their various quotas. This story of victory has made me change my mentality of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who has just displayed to me that Democracy can still be practiced without fear nor favor in this country. The incumbent president ensured a free and fair election and also accepted defeat honorably. This story of victory has opened my eyes to many styles of politics that was employed, which are namely: "the Fayose-style", "the Femi Fani-Kayode-style", "the Orubebe-style" and the "Amaechi-style". This story of victory!!! What democracy can be more credible than this?? What story of victory can be more interesting than this?? A victory for democracy, and a victory for the PEOPLE. I salute the credibility, maturity, competence, and calmness of Prof Attahiru Jega, the chairman of @inecnigeria I Congratulate Mrs Aisha Buhari, Gen Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, John Kayode Fayemi, Babatunde Fashola, Rauf Aregbesola, etc on this story of victory. Please NOTE: If the government of the All Progressive Congress(APC) led by Gen Buhari fails us, we would surely sponsor his return back to Daura in Katsina State with our precious and powerful votes that would always count. #ThisStoryofVictory.
