spenca:Eeyah sorry bro. Didn't know Mrs Uwais is the only one grounded in social welfare in the entire country. |
Aren't we tired of all these? Elections are over, let's get to work abeg. Why does anyone need camera just cos he wants to go and buy suya? Enough of sycophancy, a lot needs to be done to help the IDPs in Adamawa, not this popularity seeking trips. |
I think APC members that campaigned vigorously for Buhari are on a long thing mehn. What's Social protection plan that a lawyer is best fit for the position? If he had appointed her to serve in legal reform I could understand but this just doesn't cut it for me. I honestly feel for brave ACN members who stayed all their lives in opposition but the opportunity is here now, yet they are not enjoying it. Too many appointments going to the north. |
To imagine Chief Bisi Akande thought he could use this saga to attack the senate, says much of how pained he was with the NASS leadership that didn't go his way. |
I get your point. You are talking of the present situation in the country. This election could prove something. cktheluckyman: |
Any much difference between ACN and APC? The point here is, he didn't contest under the two dominant parties in South East and he won. quote author=cktheluckyman post=41964119] Did Ngige win with the APC?[/quote] |
But Ngige contested under ACN and won. I think she can. cktheluckyman: |
This is not surprising to me. I wasn't expecting much from her. I expected PMB to give that position to Enelamah, he would have been a better option but Baba seems to be rewarding his loyalists at the expense of our economy. |
APC can't win that seat with Sharon Ikeazor. Their best shot at that seat will be Uche Ekwunife. I really like Sharon but I don't see her winning that seat should APC decide to gift her the ticket. Its left to APC to either reward party loyalty by nominating Sharon and losing the election or encourage political prostitution and have a sure chance of winning. |
Video released by Army? Where in that video did the shiites lift a finger or slap any army officer beyond holding cutlasses which couldn't be compared to guns held by Army in the same video. Let's even assume they were attacked at that moment, please what justifies the return by the Army the following day to kill unarmed civilians? Please let's not support injustice. But you are always entitled to your opinion. I wish you well. disloman: |
I don't have to prove you wrong on whether I campaigned for Buhari or not. Let's assume laws of the land were broken, does the law broken carry death sentence? Does the Quran say when you break law by blocking road, death sentence is the reward? You can continue to delude yourself that everything is alright with this killing but let's pray this doesn't happen to someone close to us. disloman: |
Nothing justifies this killings. I personally lost my respect for Buhari after this massacre. I campaigned on the streets of Lagos for Buhari with my resources but I just can't wrap my head to support this indiscriminate use of excessive force against harmless civilians. Since this incident, everyday I wake up, I struggle to rebuild my love and hope in Buhari but I just couldn't find that strength anywhere. The humanity in me seems to never forgive him for this atrocity. More annoying is the fact that he seems to have ordered that massacre. I'm a muslim and a sunni but I believe Allah hasn't commanded us to take innocent lives by whatever guise even if we feel they don't practice the religion in the right way prescribed by the holy Quran. May Allah forgive everyone of us. This is beyond me walahi. |
eagleeye2:Thank you. You will be surprised at the level of ignorance that exist in this country today. |
This doesn't look austere to me. What's it with computer and software installation attracting so much cost with every budget, especially considering the fact that computers have an average of 4yrs useful life, yet we allocate huge sums yearly. I expected a thorough work on this budget considering it is Zero based but it looks incremental/Traditional based in content to me. I doubt if Buhari really read this budget line for line before approving of it. There is really no basis for us to blame National assembly if executive still spend over N4b on cars. |
Someone thinks Saraki really take Sahara reporters serious to the point of committing suicide. Lol! They can keep dancing naked in the market square. |
Senate did a thorough job on this to avoid future crisis before year end. This amount has covered subsidy for the entire year. The earlier proposed amount only covers till September 2015. This is the kind of engagement we want. |
I support faleke to be governor but since the party has nominated Yahaya bello rightly or wrongly he should accept it since he is a proponent of "party supremacy". I'm so loving this. Where are those crucifying saraki and hailing faleke for his defiance to party's directive? |
Even as a muslim, I have never hidden my love for the Papal. His simplicity is awesome. He is my 2015 man of the year. He has worked harder to promote peaceful coexistence than any world leader alive. God bless Papal. |
This is really getting interesting. I don't believe Yahaya bello should benefit from the spoils considering his failure to support Audu effectively. Any permutation that has Audu's camp well carried along is welcomed by me. Faleke/Mohammed ticket is the best for APC to retain their support base. Igalas will be favoured and Audu's camp will have a sense of victory. |
I have no problem with James faleke been made the substantive candidate but I remember he was a major supporter of "party supremacy" during the NASS imbroglio. Now it doesn't favour him and he is challenging party's decision. To my surprise, same people who condemned saraki/dogara are supporting him. Bunch of hypocrites everywhere. We will all be fine with time. |
seunmsg:So no "party supremacy" this time? Lol! Hypocrite. |
lanrefront1:You call him cash and carry because he hasn't said what you want to hear. Mind you, he is an authority in that field and his view always respected by so many. Falana who some rejected as AGF isn't cash and carry? Your sentiment is understandable but law is law and no emotion here. |
lanrefront1:Did you read the part they reported Justice fabiyi is retiring? So is CJN going to remove the other four justices who were part of the judgment? Some other SANs have also argued justice fabiyi was in order. Let's not always crucify the court when judgment doesn't favour us. |
The judiciary has become a joke. So any judgement delivered against saraki is good but the contrary is bad? How did we come this low? Justice Fabiyi granted an order unanimously endorsed by other four justices in the panel, why is he been singled out for this criticism. Do what you like with saraki but remember people come and go, institutions must be protected. |
Sometimes, one wonder what our yoruba folks want. You have Deputy speaker and Majority leader yet you want to dominate the chairmanship of the committees and some people will still come here writing in support of their action as if they are the only race in nigeria. I can understand why South east had the 2nd most numbers of committee chairmanship, for Godsake, these people don't have any representative among the principal officers, yet some don't want them compensated with committee chairmanship. I support Dogara 100% on this. Nigeria doesn't belong to one tribe. Before you say anything, idiots will come here saying "tinubu gave all to make buhari president", idiots, I gave ALL too and all I want is better Nigeria. |
Rubbish post! This is what some empty heads will come and start calling Saraki names for. |
Saraki has denied calling VP "mere commissioner" but you chose to stick with the negatives. It might interest you to know he was among those that believes we should have a christain VP and totally supported Osinbajo. He respects Osinbajo as No 2 man, so him standing up to receive him is no sign of weakness. |
48noble:The vote of confidence was on the leadership of the senate of which senators ekweremadu, Ali Ndume and Saraki are part of, that's why you won't see their names on the list of those that endorsed them because they are the one getting endorsed. |
modupe1988:So where is Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu from? Are people this dumb on nairaland ![]() |
donTbone:Exactly! We will see how it will end. |
Segadem:On top this matter? YES. |
donTbone:Yes na me use glue hold am. This has become chieftaincy title o. Na so una go merely dey wish but nothing go happen. |
