Majority here seems not to understand that what wins election is beyond these cries on Internet. I laugh when I read some people say Saraki rode on APC popularity to win election, guys wake up and ask yourself how buhari got 70% votes in a state he never won 35% in the past. We love Buhari but please stop talking as if it was a singular effort. Buhari rode on other people's popularity to win in some states too. |
egift:The man is simply doing what his office demands of him. You can continue to give whatever interpretation pleases you. |
OAMMB:But he took oath of office from the man you claim he doesn't recognize his leadership. Any wisdom in that? |
Pierocash:Lol! I hope he is ready to keep this "integrity" for four years? Nigeria has moved on. |
PassingShot:If that is been applied, why won't it end the crisis? You think both parties are happy about the impasse? Nigerians just want a Change in their lives not massaging of a godfather's ego. |
It should be about service to ensure Change manifest in our lives not some self serving agenda of the LORDS. I'm ready to move on. |
Jesusloveyou:You saw him stealing? |
Jesusloveyou:I can't remember any court making pronouncement on this matter. Who determines what's legal or illegal, you? |
MizMyColi:You honestly believe saraki need any fraud to win his election as Senator? Lol! I caan see you are well fed on propaganda. |
GudluckIBB:Lol! I'm sure you are one of the few who feels the nation must come to a standstill because Saraki emerged senate president. You sound pained buhari wrote a letter to Saraki. Its time to move on, not all the time tinubu wins. I'm sure he will have his time, for now, Saraki wins it. |
rildwanullahi:Immunity clause doesn't cover Senate President. EFCC can invite him for questioning. |
Dayvidddrizzle:Yes o. According to some gullible minds who believe Ibafo is in Victoria Island and there is still a bank called Société General. Instead of going to get 2/3 and remove the man, you throw lies around about him, of what need is this? |
chukwudi44:Too many people know nothing here. |
BERNIMOORE:You mind the kids here? Too much ignorance on nairaland. |
BossTtdiamonds:If Lawan emerges, it will be bad for APC at this time. Lawan is not unifying enough and APC doesn't enjoy the kind of majority that allows them dominate the senate in the manner most APC supporters think. That's the reason I marvel at the ignorance displayed by some of our fellow APC supporters here. |
prestigediva1:Only a fool thinks what he knows is the best. Why not speak from your own perspective? |
APC isn't helping themselves by allowing "tinubu APC" to continue dragging and distracting their government. Majority are supporting saraki in senate and these guys should come to reality of such. Senate rules isn't constitution and we shouldn't be held back because of a leader's insatiable need for control. We just have to move on from this phase. |
This is welcomed. Let the house settle down and do the job of legislating for Change we voted for. I hope both Dogara put aside the rivalry of their election and work tirelessly for the masses. |
Great reply to Uncle Sam's hate article. Must everything be to the whims and caprices of Tinubu? We need peace in APC so Nigerians can progress. This regionalism isn't what Tinubu and his cronies should be spreading now. |
Dogara is clearly leading this game. With this new offer, I think South west is alone in this "tinubu supremacy" called party supremacy. We need to move on abeg. |
I think this is a delightful response. If you think you haven't done any wrong, EFCC investigation shouldn't be celebrated as an indictment as being paraded in some quarters. Nigerians don't know there is a procedure to declaring someone a "thief" and it isn't done in EFCC rather the competent court of law. |
Mr Dasuki, No one has told you you are been investigated for sins of 1985, I think you should simply get ready to give account of your deeds as former NSA and this isn't about Dasuki, it's about probing what happened. Why Nigeria couldn't dislodge a ragtag miscreants. |
Ghandi12:Fraudulent? Which court of law has pronounced her? Let EFCC present their evidence against her in the court of law so justice can be served on her. I'm for due process. Innocent until the court say otherwise. |
She was only invited and not arrested. The invitation date is July 28th and she hasn't even ignore it yet, so where is arrest coming from? OP should stop misinforming and unnecessarily heating up the polity. |
I think APC should simply accept and fill this list based on respect for all zones. Insisting Gbajabiamila must be house leader leaves more to desire. Nigerians want an end to this crisis and APC should precipitating crisis to massage one man's ego. |
Long overdue. Now let correct people come on board. |
Saraki has a mandate that allows him lead national assembly till 2019, tinubu can get as much tissue papers because he surely won't find a cheap guy in saraki. I wonder how Saharareporters suddenly remembered saraki stole money with atm cards after he became senate president. This propaganda against saraki has confirmed there is something he did right that tinubu didn't like. If tinubu truly want this government to succeed, by now he should have moved on but no he won't because he believes he should fix everyone in the country, little wonder he claimed to have won sokoto Governorship ticket for tambuwal as if he's been the one winning his tickets for him all the time he contested. |
madridguy:Logic of Jagabanians. |
The idea of having an election among the APC members in the house to elect the principal officers seems to me the solution. If majority feels a particular zone should have more than one principal officers, then so be it but those pushing for an idea that allows a zone have more than 1 slot when others have none should ask whose interest they are serving right now. Besides, is Gbajabiamila too ambitious? Heard much of it with saraki. |
chukwudi44:As it stands now, Tinubu must reappraise his strategy to ensure it promotes inclusiveness and democracy upheld in most instances. Else, I see more rebellious acts in sw going forward. |
omenka:I agree tinubu did a lot to have this victory but let's not reduce this democracy to aspiration of Tinubu, others played key role in this success. For example, Saraki and co coordinated the north central and delivered well, nothing stops them from sharing in the spoils as much as SW did by having VP position. We should learn to compromise and not play god to people's aspiration. |
This is actually a good development. With news like this, one is tempted to ask, is this not same Nigeria GEJ made us to believe is difficult to achieve anything good? God bless our competent leader. |
