What the OP was particular about is "Immortalisation" and 'Honouring Mediocrity'. He did well raising salient points to defend it. But he (almost) destroyed it with that little religious bigotry. *wetin concern white house concern Goldie*

AjanleKoko: Lots of cynics and hypocrites in the congregation as usual.
Yeah Goldie was no Mother Teresa. But she lived her life in the way she wanted to. She didn't steal from the treasury like Ibori, waste her boyfriend like Pistorius, or jack anybody up in traffic. Whether you like it or not, she put the country on the map by doing what she knew how to do, in her own way.

It's up to her fans to immortalize her. Even if one of them happens to be the governor's wife. It's their prerogative.
It's a pity we have so many chump-minded Nigerians.
Why not make comparism with people in the good book of the people in everywise

@OP, Nice post.Unfortunately you just couldn't hide you religious bigotry when you mentioned that the Ganster at the white... house throwing drones, killing Matin Luther King's dream. That almost rubbished you entire post for real.

Politics / Re: What Do We Get To Enjoy As Nigerians? by kumbalo(m): 10:20pm On Feb 05, 2013
speedyboi: Really? Okay:

1. you guys don't pay any tax whatsoever! Yet you want infrastructural development. It doesn't work that way sorry.

2. 90% of nigerians don't pay for electricity. No meter, no nothing. You just call on the nearest electrician to do 'direct connection' for you. Mtcheew yet you want light to improve.

3. You engage in all types of unruly behaviour (including the ones i've stated above) without getting arrested.

4. When you contravene rules and unfortunately, an official tries to caution/sanction you guys, you argue with them (and you are the one at fault most times).
When you frustrate them, and they now shoot you, you will be throwing your weight around and publishing one side story.
5. You use browsing cheats openly.....it's illegal peeps.
6. You pirate anything pirateable. And no one catches you.
7. You do your job (civil service especially) without dedication, and no one questions you.
8. Government opens a well-equipped hospital today and next month, the equipments have been stolen one after the other by medical staff (nigerians). 6 months later, the hospital looks like a grave yard due to the mismanagement and poor maintainance culture (-of other people's properties) of nigerians. Yet, no one (the M.D. - A nigerian) cares to investigate the issue.

9. You drive recklessly on roads......and no regard for any rule.
10. Mehn it's a free world in naija and you claim you don't enjoy anything. Oh puhlease! Spare me.

That's why they end up in prison when they travel out of the country. Nigerians don't even know right from wrong again; that the reason why whenever a governor tries to bring back the rule of law, they criticise them. They are so comfortable with their primitive ways. I shake my head.

It's branded Orange AFCON - a telecom company, there is no way the big boys in telecoms in Naija can sponsor that. Besides why should other african contries pay 1.5M bucks and they want Naija to pay 8M bucks. Are they learners? BON got it right this time, Thumbs Up!!!

Business / Re: How Lucrative Is Taxi Driving Business? by kumbalo(m): 1:50pm On Jan 29, 2013
It's lucrative especially in cities like Lagos and Port harcout. If you do this business in Lagos, Don't forget to always brace yourself for a duel with the driver in the evening cos' he could come telling you LASTMA this, VIO that. Otherwise, you could get frustrated enough to want to pull out.

Should such a SNITCH be an intelligence officer ? typical Nigerian !!!!
I wonder o. What's the intelligence in the fact that he spent more time praising and eulogising the potentials of this group. Is it to create fear in Nigerians. Boko Haram Alert!!! This man is one of them. GEJ watchout!!!
