@ queen,

Most women that tolerate and encourage domestic violence in their home are always in denial of it, feel they got that as a punishment for something they did that offended the hubby and will try to protect their husband by not telling anyone about it.

In my case, yes it happened and if it's something I intend tolerating then i would not call anyone to talk to him, i'll instead kneel down and beg after the slap then keep my mouth shut, but i'll not tolerate such. He has been forgiven and am willing to give him a second chance because this is his first time. We offend God and always ask him for forgiveness, though in my husband's case, it came late but i have given him a second chance.

halo everyone,

This indeed has been a very tough one on me and just couldnt take it anymore so i decided to do something about the situation.

I approached him yesterday night and told him i'm moving out the shock was clearly written on his face but i explained to that i can only fight with someone that is willing to fight with me, I can only fight for my marriage if he is also willing and after watching him for the past week, ave come to realise that he is not, so i want to give him his space.

Scondly, am not ready to be anyone's punching bag, I'd rather be the woman/wife that said no to it than hang on to the tittle mrs and be receiving slaps after each arguiment, I am ready to be a single mother/divorcee with my peace of mind and clear face. My people i don the table to him, he has been beging since yesterday, but live me sef i sabi do shakara.

Thanks for all the response(s) it worked magic for me. But the reality is that i really hope and pray (i have committed that one to God) that there wont be a second time.

with the way he has been acting and trying to play the victim, I actually tort i did wrong but with all ave read, am not going to apologise to him, i'd rather give him more time to see what happens next. Thanks everyone i really appreciate it and may God give me the strenght to carry on.

We dated for more than a year before marriage and he hid this side of him perfectly away from me till now.

Hi all, your advice is urgently needed pls, I have been married for almost a year now and am pregnant expecting our first child. The issue is that i had an arguement with my husband and he walked out on me, a few minutes later while gisting with my elder brother (about a different issue) on phone, he walked in and gave me a dirty slap to the hearing of my elder brother. Though this is his first time hiting me, i found out later on that he does that a lot (his sister). when it happened he didnt apologise rather he walked out on me. i got furious and called his elder sis to complain about his behaviour while my elder brother called and warned him never to hit me again. The reason i called his sister is to let him know that i will not tolerate any form of beating from him.
The problem is now that ever since the incidence he has been acting funny like though i was the one that offended him. He's hardly home, doesnt talk and even told his friend to come and talk to me about the issue as in why i told my brother, when my brother heard us?
Egbami, this thing tire me oh! abeg people with experience should help me with this one oh!
