While most people has a lot of valid point, its still must be noted that a lot of the responses have be rather vague, if not general. The question is particularly asking "for use in Nigeria" If you break down in some tiny village in Osun state, Kaduna or Uyo, which car will you rather be trying to fix? A Toyota Camry or BMW? You should ask yourself. |
will get back to you for sure |
pics? |
That's why forum like this exists. what year GX you are looking for? what is the budget? |
memento:I suggest you get a 2004/2005 4 cylinder. i am leaning more towards a 2005 though. May God enrich you more. |
White colored cars are not necessarily cheaper (at least overseas). But they are less desirable in Nigeria cos of the environment. They get dirty easily. Rather than the dealer/seller hang on to the car for months on end, they just drop the price for the car not to go "stale" on the lot. That is why people get a good deal on white cars. If you are buying them overseas the color has no bearing on the price. Some people love white cars (even here in Nigeria ) Funny enough, as dirty as Afghanistan is, they love white Corolla (1994-1998 models) Some cars actually looks better in brilliant white (Benz or Cadillac for example) You can haggle your way to a great deal in Nigeria in white cars. Just don't try it in the UK/US. ![]() |

For anyone who care enough or have been paying attention, you can see that the rate of exchange is laready at $1/N166 as of today. Actually back in April/May, i have a Banker friend told me it will hit $1/N180 but didn't believe him cos i don't see a reason for it. We are not in "rush" period yet. But now i am starting to. My advise to anyone that's buying car is to BUY NOW! Especially if you see a car at "old price" Jump at it. A typical good 1997-1999 Camry selling for about N1m will be hard to come by as soon as the rate increase is felt thru the auto market. Profit margin on those vehicles are about N150k thereabout. The rate increase will take a good chunk of that at present day. Once again, DO NOT HESITATE!!!! RUN! DON'T WALK! TO YOUR NEAREST DEALER AND COP THAT RIDE! Happy Motoring. |
kalokalo:Make sure that your comparison is right before you jump into conclusion. A 2006/2007 Honda EX-L will still push you back over $10,000 (Clean title etc). That is already N1.63m. If you add roughly $1300 to ship and $300-$500 to transport to the port. $200 to transfer the $$$ to the US. You are close to N1.9m before you clear. Clearing is around N300k. Making it N2.2m landing cost. Is it too much to make N300k on such a deal? And God help you if you are taking a loan from the bank. Alternative is to buy the same Honda at around 200k miles and roll it back to 100k and sell cheaper. Which is what most Nigerians want anyway. But a true 100k miles? You will pay. Of course you can get cars cheaper for that in the US. But they have to be something like Kia Rio, Chevy Aveo, Hyundai Accent etc. I am just waiting for you to tell me that those cars are in the same caliber as an Accord. A brand new EX-L will be around $23,000. TEAR RUBBER! You do the math! |
Hi guys, I am on MTN network and has the HTC-HD7. I need to be able to configure it to be able to tether and browse on my laptop. Don't know how to go about it. Someone please help out and give me the step by step instructions. Thanks in anticipation . |
I am not sure if 190e has a 3.2 engine. I would think more like a 2.6 Good luck out there. |
kunyeo:Hi, If you wouldn't mind the wait. This particular one will be on auction in few days. Should land for around N975k. Its far stronger that a Mitsubishi spacewagon. However, this is a 2000 CE model. CE is the lowest model of all Siena. No Alloys. No leather. But this Van has good mileage and should serve you well. All i will be doing is buying for you and making sure how it will get here to you. If you are interested, you can contact me for more information on payment mode etc. It will take like 6 weeks to get here. Enough time to rally for the rest of the funds. pixieelott:Ideal PSI for washing the car should be between 1000-1200 psi May be 1500 Max. but try and stay a few feet of distance from the car if you use 1500 psi. Otherwise you risk damaging the paint on the car. Good luck out there. |
maballack:No. This is how it works: Now: You pay the cost of vehicle plus the trucking charges After vehicle sails you pay the shipping cost. Clearing cost will be due when the vehicle arrives in Nigeria Service charge will be due upon delivery of the vehicle. The whole thing is roughly about 6 weeks. But you know exactly what you are getting. No micky mouse / accidented ride. Regards |
