Been through it before. Its difficult but with time, you will be fine and when you do, you will so much hate her that you will even question yourself why you were acting so silly over her. ![]() Your main problem is OBSESSION. To overcome it, follow the following simple rules 1. Never spend your time alone. spend 95% of your time with crazy friends not bookworms or dull people. If you don't have, find but be careful. 2. Never attempt to avoid her completely. The more you do that, the more you will get hurt emotionally. Accept your weakness for her. I believe she's matured enough to understand that its not easy for you. If she greets you, greet her back. you can also greet her first. But if she hates you so much that she doesn't even want to talk to you, don't force it on her but just say within yourself that you are better than her. But in all you do, never hope that she'll ever come back. What i actually did in my own time is to swallow my pride and approach her to help me get over her by pretending we're still dating. She was very matured and she accepted. we started talking as though nothing was wrong. no special treatment from either of us. we just talk like casual friend. As time goes on i started seeing how inferior she was to who i am and who i aspire to be in the future, something love has blinded me from seeing before. I started seeing beyond the beauty or whatever it was that possessed into obsession. Gradually i started retreating from her till i was strong eneough to move on even when i see her and her new lover cuddling. If u cant do what i did, u might need to arrange with a lady in ur house or lady course mate or someone who is willing to help u out. most ladies do oblige out of pity in that kind of situation but make sure u are honest about your end game. Never break another person's heart in trying to mend yours. 3. Get busy like crazy. Find a crazy project you want to work upon and start doing researches about bringing it to fruition even though it might not end up being successfull. If you are not innovative, re-channel your anger and energy towards being successful. After all, the best revenge is to be successful.(sorry no time to edit) |

MrMcJay:Thank you sir for this exposure. I will keep this in mind. Hopefully the police will not take their sides. |
suyamasta:Thank you sir. Lol @ good police o. How do I know good police at the station? ![]() |
Thank you sir. But am I to join them because it's what others do or because it's a lawful requirement? Remember majority of Nigerians don't even know what their rights are. If there is a law backing them to force any one doing such business to join them, then I won't hesitate. But what I want to know is if there's such law in the first place. I'm just trying to be cautious not to fight a lost battle. I am ready to engage them legally if there is no such law. That is why I need an advice from any nairalander that knows the law well. |
Please knowledgeable nairalanders, I need an expert advice on this issue. I have been receiving threats from the photographers association that I must join them before I operate the business further. They threatened to raid my shop and even promised to invoke higher force/authority if I refuse to join. But I thought there is freedom of association as stipulated by the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. Should I succumb to their threat or should I wrestle them out in the court of law should they carry out their threat indeed? |

Gaddafithe2nd:In Africa, we consider our parents-in-law as our parents also if there's so much love between the two families. Eldee is only being african. |
Misleading caption. Eldee's real mum is the popular abike dabiri |
I will only advice u to thread with caution sir. Not all snakes are poisonous but the question is, how do u know which? It's OK to join the Lions in prayer but what happens after the prayer? So, I'll advice u to steer clear of those seemingly harmless herdsmen. They might attack u and they might not but your friendliness is not going to stop them when they want to. They won't warn u when they want to attack u sir. |

The AFRIMA award's so so boring. Did anyone else notice that? Jokes are so dry, Akon trying so hard to make it lively. The people were acting like they were forced to attend. mtchwww. Why were the artistes making wave at the moment all absent to receive their awards? The organisers should be called together and flogged. wetin ycee dey sing? why not sing the track straight? chinedu 'aki' ikedieze too fall my hand joor. |
So many front page topics to check and comment. Why on earth will I settle to read this long epistle? Thought the op said 'short story'. Meanwhile, Read no further because the person below me has mental problem. He has nothing meaningful to contribute. |

Nonsense. I used to follow this guy on Facebook until I realized that all his his stories have the same story line. It's either the men who got themselves involved in his supposed witch/mammy water disguised as sexy babes get killed or they exercise self control and get rewarded. Nothing more. I appreciate his creativity but it's not different from watching a porn movie to learn morality |
onyxo76:You are correct. Part of the reasons why experience is the worst teacher. |
onyxo76:In my own case, it wasn't my dressing that attracted them. They traced me from the atm. My dressing was very simple. A short knickers and a plain t-shirt. No jewelleries, ear not pierced, no rough curl or dread lock.(im bald). A simple pam slippers too and no weird walking style. |
These guys are everywhere. I was a victim myself in 2014 in ibadan. I was about entering d shoprite at ring road when I was accousted by 3 men in mufti. They were from the iyanganku area command. They claimed to suspect me to be a yahoo boy. I showed them everything to prove my innocence but they refused and bundled me into their car and took me to the station. There I spent 2 and half hours trying to claim my right. Meanwhile, I earlier withdrew 30,000 naira from a first Bank atm at iyana adeoyo. The money was the last cash in my entire life and I have budgeted how I was going to share it with my family before heading for the atm that day. The money was planned to last for a 30 day period before hoping to get another salary. Part of what was planned for was diapers for my baby and a shoprite bread. Little did I know that these demons were trailing me from the bank.(it was a Sunday afternoon). I got down from the bike and headed to the mall's main entrance when I heard 'hey, stop there'. The rest was a torture for 2 and half good hours. They seized everything on me including my phone and the money. They did not even allow me pick any call or place a call to my wife who would not stop calling after she became worried about my whereabouts. To cut the long story short, I caved in when they asked me to write a statement incriminating myself. They were even dictating what I must write. At that point, I saw that they were not going to let me go free. They checked every messages, emails and even to-do lists on my phone and each time telling me everything they see shows I'm a confirmed yahoo boy. One of them called me and said the only way to bail myself out was to part away with 20,000 naira out of the 30k. They counted 10k and gave it back to me. I started crying at that point and was begging them seriously. Later, One of them started consoling me that I should be happy that they even accepted money from me that some were not so lucky. Besides, I'm a salary man and he's sure by the next month end, when another salary comes,i will be fine. He said he knew the company I was working for that it's a big company. He said I was only pretending. But my wailing increased and so was my begging because I just couldn't imagine living on 10k with a wife and an 18 months old baby. I told him I was just a junior worker there. I refused to leave and I continued to beg them in tears. Later, they collected the 10k and handed me the 20k. I stopped crying and the friendly one patted me on the back and promised to be there in case I need their help too. He gave me his number and narrated different stories where he had rescued people just after briefly meeting them like in my case. I thanked him, dried my eyes and left in bitterness. I learnt some lessons since then because I hear people give different accounts of their ordeals with these people. Here are the few I complied. 1.Always delete any bank alert even if it is a birthday greeting. Both emails and sms. 2.Mind how save the names of ur contacts. 3. Mind how save ur to do lists. 4. Don't go with large sums of money in ur pocket if u don't have to. 5. Mind how u dress. 6. If u were unlucky and got picked up by these police demons, just co-operate with them else they will injure or kill u. It's not time to start claiming a right which is not there in the first place. 7. If u can do without going out with ur laptop, please do. I have heard a case where police claimed the autocad software they found was meant to be used to study the structure of the house to b robbed before the actual robbery. As for me, I merely handed them over to God to judge them. But with this news. I hope the rest of them still in the game will stop. |
malvisguy212:Thank u brother. I cannot agree less with u. I always likened the God-human relationship to the normal relationship we usually practice here on earth. How do u feel when u know that ur wife, girlfriend, husband or boyfriend love u naturally without u having to force it on her/him? Imagine u beating ur wife just to ensure that she must love/obey u. Even if she succumbs because u can overpower her, u know within ur heart that she doesn't actually love u/or want to submit to u, u r just forcing her to. Same thing goes to any relationship whether father-son, parents-children, boss-employees. This is same with God-human relationship. He gave us a choice to love/obey him or not to. If u choose to love and obey him, u have all the benefits, just like how u can do anything for ur submissive wife and obedient children. But unlike human who mete out punishment immediately for their disobedient children/unsubmissive wives, God would not do that. He will only wait giving u millions of opportunities for u to change ur mind.(2peter 3:9). He will not because of that curse u or punish u. But u will be living in luck, in a world filled with evil and good. And if u now die in the process, then that's when the punishment will come. An eternal damnation. Where u will have no choice again. For it is appointed for a man to die only but once, after which is judgment. (Hebrews 9:27). This choice that God has given us is what makes us think there is no God or God is slow. This is the earth and not heaven. If everything is perfect here then what need is there for a heaven? God has angels who have no choice but to obey Him and do his will. If he has to do that for us, then it means he will be converting us to angels which we r not. Typing is not easy, I would have gone on and on. But I hope this sheds a little light on the discussion at hand. |

I read a lot of comments from the ibos always tagging the yorubas as cowards. Many r saying all these for d fun of it. The igbos always think bravery is when u have muscles and big chest and can throw punches and run ur mouth. Smh. An average yoruba man approaches any incidence tactically. If it's a fight or war, yorubas believe more in tactics than 'gra-gra' .During ds period, a typical keyboard ibo warrior will tag them as cowards. Has it not occured to u guys that day reason y ur much craved biafra became a mirage is because of just one Yoruba man?one yoruba man single handedly won the biafra civil war over to the hausas. Tactics. Today, there would have been a biafran state but for the tactics of obasanjo. Tinubu tactically ousted jonathan(dont ask me how. If u don't know, stop reading here). How many notable national activists of core igbo decent can u proudly mention today died a hero of activism or is still living as an activist apart from d vagabond, nnamdi kanu? Today, I can proudly mention gani fawehinmi. I can mention fela anikulapo kuti. I can mention adams oshiomole. Olukoye ransom kuti. What about ayo fayose. Pastor tunde bakare. Abeg mention ur heroes that have always lent their voices relentlessly against the government like these poeple. In fact, yorubas have always been d final deciders of any election. Goodluck jonathan won because of the yorubas and he lost cos of them. I can go on and on. The slow movement of a Leopard is not due to cowardice. Yorubas are very peaceful and won't fight or go to war easily but when war or fight is inevitable, it's a total showdown. May it not get to that in our country. Empty vessels make the loudest noise. I am proud of my tribe. I am Proudly yoruba |
maxwell767:Don't mind this mumu hr who is rather happier throwing cvs to the bin. He is such a lazy one. I'm an advocate of a good cv but ds guys shd just stop painting it as if it's an end in itself. |
