datgoaldigger: decatalyst:u guys are funny. Here is the screenshot of my fone info. Is there a way to tell which phone is refurbished from here?
|
It started like an empty threat but ended actualizing the threat. Whatsapp has truly ended their support for BlackBerry phones. I tried to use it on my Z10 immediately after midnight but here is what came up 'unfortunately, whatsapp no longer supports this phone. Please switch to a supported phone'. So, I wonder where those saying it has been postponed got their info from. Any other person with same experience?

naijadeyhia:u said it all. u r a man of understanding. |
davibid:Exactly. If u r not ready to follow these rules, then u r not ready for anything at any govt office. It's even worse if u r dealing with those in uniform. Seems any govt worker in uniform is licensed to harass u especially if it's related to road/vehicle/traffic. |
I read through some of the advice but didn't have the time to read all. So I don't know if someone has mentioned what I'm about to say. I put myself in ur shoe and sincerely know how u feel cos I was once in that messy situation, even worse. It's still good as u have not had any other confrontation with him. I was wrongly advised in my own case and it almost sent me to an early grave. My golden advice is this: In your next class, (I really hope u have not had another before this reply)get there early and spot him if he's not already there. Approach him with a smile and tell him boldly(no fidgeting o. After all, u r classmates) that u looked for him that same day after lecture to apologise but u didn't know his whereabouts. That u r sorry for the incidence and that it will never happen again. Let d social part of u come alive now. Even if he starts bragging to deal with u(which I doubt he will since u r in public) just smile it off and continue to apologise- with a smile, not cowardly pls. Like that, he will know u have recognised his status as 'omnipotent'. Accept and absorb all insults hurled at u with a smile. The Lecturer may come in while doing this and break this absurd begging situation if u r lucky. Then tell him u would love to sit close to him in a friendly manner.(just for that day o). That will show him that u want friendship not enmity psychologically. But, If u r not lucky and the Lecturer doesn't show up as usual, just sit close to him without uttering more words. Bring out ur books n start reading. He will probably leave the place for u to clear the unnecessary attention u av created around him. (it's a psychological game). I can assure u of one thing. He will never plan to kill u. Remove that from the equation. The worst he can do if he's the type that loves being seen as 'powerful' is to embarrass u publicly with a minimal beating. And that's if u follow my advice. NB. Pls disregard any advice on this forum that says something like 'report him', 'fight him' 'confront him '. Like I said, I've been in that quagmire b4 and those saying that will never know how it feels like. u can send me a private mail if u need further discussion with me. May God help u. |
My question is how did the op get all these pix? I suspect the person in those pictures is the one by the username viviangist4. Nairaland is faceless. |

OPEN LETTER TO INEC CHAIRMAN PROF. ATTAHIRU JEGA As a well concerned citizen of this country, it is usually painful to see how things are done in the country. Living a stone age in the computer age is not a good show of development. Sir, international election monitoring observers commended you on the success of the 2011 election you conducted labelling it as laudable, credible and first of its kind in Nigeria's history. This is another opportunity for you to receive such credit and prove to the world that the first wasn't a fluke. It's a very good idea that you have decided to conduct this election by PVC to minimise election fraud but it seems you lack the idea on how to bring it to fruition. It is alarming to know that less than 3 weeks to election, a large number of the populace still haven't registered for the so called PVC yet the registration had closed. My observation is that the system or method by which you handled the process was not without flaw. It is not too late to improve on the process so as not to disenfranchise a lot of people. Registering for the PVC involves capturing people's biodata but that shouldn't be a rocket science! You made it look like it's a technology imported from the future. Yet JAMB use this every year to register UTME candidates. Network providers use this system every blessed day to register new users. So, why the friction with INEC? You could have asked cyber cafes to come for screening and get them registered with INEC then people can just walk in to such cafes and get registered at their own convenient time. Almost all of them have camera and fingerprint reader. Since INEC maintains the same database, anybody who registers anywhere accross the federation is captured in your datababae so there would have been no need for the stress and horror nigerians went through, queueing in the sun amidst pushing and pulling in a bid to register. Secondly, please publish on your website the list of names of PVC that are ready for collection by local governments everyday. Almost everyone can access the internet via their mobile these days. This way everyone can track if his/her PVC is ready for collection before heading to INEC's office. Also, the overall progress can also be tracked transparently this way. These are my personal suggestions and I will be expecting an open reply. Kb. |

For the NNPC test format: 1. General Apt test of 120 questions comprising of 4 different parts. PART A: Diagrams in which you will have to figure out the next one. Its exactly a lift from the GMAT 2005 and 2006. There's no difference. I do not have the GMATs at the moment else I would have written out the pages. Just study them well my people. Questions 1-30 PART B: English tests. They are quite simple enough. Antonyms, synonyms and words relating to each other. eg: Abuja is to Nigeria as Nairobi is to , If you have done kimberly ryan's test then there's no problem. Questions 31-60 PART C: Mathematics with the whole lot from the GMATs. Quantitative not diagramatic and charts. Questions 61-90 PART D: Shapes (folding up of unfolded and painted shapes). Still from the same GMATs. Questions 91-120 2. Skill Test, SCIENCE which is for both engineering and science. It covers the information below. Bouyancy, Local losses, Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Waves, Linear measuring scale, Forces that act on fluids at rest, Fluid calculations involving average velocity, Change in Momentum, Direction of flows :streamline, Adiabatic and reversible processes, Rate feed back control actions, Advantages of Polyphase systems over single phase, Converging and Diverging nuzzles, Compressible fluid flows, Thermal resiastance of Insulators, Prevenion of Corossion, Properties of Materials, Requirements 4 precipitation/ hardening in metal system, Quarter wave, Phase shift: keying data transmission difference, Isentropic flow, Size determination of packed towers, Pyrometallurgical process, What Corossion fatigue depends on?, Basic assumptions of economics of engineering production, Creep, Speed of a DC motor is controlled by?, Differential calculus, Rotary type positive displacement compressor, Ideal outlet velocity of stream from a nuzzle, Enthalpy calculation, Inductance, Reaction sequence, Intrinsic stoichiometric ratio and questions like: ---A branching step consist of a reaction of a relatively stable intermediate known as, ? ---The decimal equivalent of a hexadecimal number 3AD is ? sameve: |

NairaMode:This is absolutely one of d best comments i av ever come accross on nairaland.i presume u av spoken d mind of millions of niigerian xtians among which i am one. Something is always telling me there is evil behind every smile of this man. Its so unfortunate that all apc leadership are even muslims and their proposed 'nigeria saviours' are all hausas. Now its a matter of choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea. May God help us in 2015 cos i'm scared |
my top 5 albums 1.wande coal- mohits to mushin ( i so much cherished this album that i specially keep it clean and safe in my wardrobe and only bring it out when im in the mood to listen to it again. 2.da grin- C.E.O- same as above 3.Lord of ajasa-3rd avenue (like styl plus 'expression', this album was really worked hard upon but the death of dagrin killed its popularity. all the songs were beautifully composed, mastered and produced. i feel sorry of ajasa as he didnt make much profits like the first album) 4. tuface innocent idibia- face2face (in fact, all tuface albums have always made it to my shelf. he is my all time favourite artist) 5. wizkid- superstar (when he was still truly a kid by voice with the 'w' factor obvious in virtually all the tracks) |
swankytj: A BUMP STORYBro, its like u were me beause ur story is exactly same as mine only that mine is more than 12 yrs now. it started d way urs started too and i went thru d same pain and agony ranging from ordinary cream application to d stupid ab bumps centre at ikeja to injecting the bumps at some self acclaimed chemist shops. in short, the experience was terrible. going to AB bumps ecevryweek from ilaro ogun state when i was still in school every week made it even a nightmare.i will never advise anybody to go to dat ab bumps. they are simply extortioners. upon the whooping amt they'll charge u, u still av to buy one stupid cream u apply on the wound they'll carve out of ur head with an undisclosed nitrogen compound.as if thats nt worse enough, the attendants still want u to tip them everytime u come arnd else they wont treat u well, indirectly making you feel that 'u go tey there'. anyway, im still on it 12 yrs now, very bothered on how to get a permanent cure when i stumbled upon this post via google search. To d OP i av dis to say: pls ignore any insult hurled @ u here on NL as its d only thing some pple come here to do. u av not asked for money nor given out ur number for anyone to call. so, if u r magnanimous enough to share this vital info that could end the lifetime worries of pple like me, the only thing that can happen to u is God's blessing, goodness and mercy. u cud av as well kept it to urself and open a shop and earn some money but u didnt. so, 'no mind them. |
After being warned several times of my number being listed for termination by Airtel Nigeria, I decided to go out and register(or re-register as i have regitered the same sim the first time registration was mandated) but to my utmost surprise, The agent demanded for 50 naira. I asked him for what then he replied it was for the sim registration. Out of annoyance, I left the guy and went to other agents, only to be told the same thing. Sincerely, not that I couldn't afford the 50 naira but I felt like being ripped off. I see no reason why sim card registration should cost any token. I decided to call customer care immediately to ask if the order was from them as one of the agents had claimed but the thing won't patch me through. Does anyone have any info about this? Has anybody registered recently? Pls did anyone pay for sim registration? |
Worked like magic! It was my last attempt. U r d best dude. God bless you. I will just like to add that if you can tell nairalanders the secret, it'll be appreciated eventhough nobody can force you to do so.the decision is yours to make. Thanks again anyway. |

Pls my people, I am currently very interested in starting an A4 photocopy paper wholesale business. For the past two years, i have been making solo investigations about the business but have not been very successfull. i want your contributions on how i can meet the A4 paper manufacturers and buy directly from them either within the country or outside the country. So far, i have only been seeing and meeting with either retailers or wholesalers themselves who only offer the same price as i wil sell it. i also want to know if it is best to purchase within Nigeria or from outside. If from Nigeria, any suggestion that can lead me directly to the manfacturer will be highly appreciated. Same goes for outside the country. |

aagarba05:mmm.interesting. but by what standard would u justify ur moral and cultural values as outstanding? |
There have been uproars about the recent activities of the operation burst, a newly constituted monitoring security outfit in oyo state, who beat up innocent civilians who they think are improperly dressed. Girls/ladies who wear trousers or dressed in 'spaghetti' or posing around with weird hairdos are harassed and mauled by these personnels. Guys who put on ear-rings, either magnetic or real; with weird hairdos such as dreadlocks, rough coil, gallas, obama and afro are first given the beatings of their lives before being dragged to the nearest barber's shop for a 'last skin' cut. Quoting different sections of from this source: http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/29278-robbery-ajimobi-inaugurates-joint-patrol-squad.html 1. The 146-member squad, codenamed “Operation Burst’’, is made up of 65 policemen; 55 personnel of the Nigerian Army; 12 Air Force personnel; 7 from the State Security Service (SSS) and 7 from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). 2. The governor noted that a government exists, in the first instance, to be able to provide security for its people, adding that any government that failed in this regard had lost touch with the fundamentals of government. 3. "Outcries over the activities of hoodlums and armed robbers, who have literally frozen the peace of the people, have been on the increase,’’ the governor said. 4. We have lined up investors who are expected to jump-start the economy, as well as lift social activities in the state from its present state of inertia to one that we can be proud of. “This cannot be achieved in an atmosphere of violence and armed robbery. This was why we found it expedient to inaugurate this joint task force,” Ajimobi said. The governor, while enjoining the people of the state to be security-conscious all the time, said that armed robbers and hooligans were not some spirits who just jumped down from Uranus. The Governor, senator Abiola Ajimobi, did not make any mention of indecent dressing/proper dress code during the inauguration of this squad. So it seems now that this "operation burst" personnels have neglected their duties of protecting the lives and properties of the oyo state citizens and now their watch-outs are innocent citizens, who they think are wrongly dressed!. hitherto, the governor has not responded over this situation despite the hue and cry over different media. Now the citizens the security outfits are supposed to protect are also their victims of bully! (pls forgive me, probably i'm not suppose to add this but shouldn't dressing be subjective just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder? besides, is this the next focus in the face of different security challenges that besieged our beloved country? well, that's my own opinion.) |
