What am I doing wrong?

Just put r immediately after the opening bracket such that it reads:
data= pd.ead_csv(r"C:\users blah blah blah...)
That should solve it.

yemyke001:
It means when you divide data['rowID'] by 10 the remainder will be 0

Thanks to you and @Dum20 that posted this question. I actually tried this today and it worked. I applied it to a Fortune 500 companies dataset. Let's keep the spirit flying here. Kudos to @Ejiod and everyone in here.

cochtrane:
Yes, it's possible to just assess the raw file directly using this link

Thanks a lot, you're appreciated

Toppytek:
I’ve seen that option before but I haven’t used it before.

It's really cool, very intuitive. You can create a new schema/table rght in there, and import your data into it, then commit. Voila, you have the data in MySQL.

cochtrane:
Download it here

If I may ask cochtrane, is it possible to download from Github using a mobile device, or it's best done on a PC, cos I've been trying to download this dataset and it's only bringing the data raw, only allowing me to copy and paste, unfortunately not everything is copying.
Also is it possible to scrape it directly from Github?

I don't know if you ever observed, when you install MYSQL, an add-in called MYSQL FOR EXCEL is automagically added to Excel. That add-in allows you to easily import data to and from MySQL using Excel. It's under the DATA tab of Excel. Check it out.

It's a tool for every Pythonista

Grandlord:
Cool.

How easy is it though, to go from a self-taught developer IN NIGERIA, to landing a job anywhere globally?

I'm learning python right now using my downtime and it's really interesting. I wonder though, if not having a CS degree would hinder my chances of getting a job as a junior dev. or something.

Also, how would you advise I approach the learning process? Should I focus on a field? e.g web dev. or should I rather focus on a language?

Also, what's your take on offering freelance dev. services on fiverr etc

Abeg make una help me ansa abeg. Thanks.

I'll advise you make YouTube, Google and Stackoverflow your best friend.
Ever heard of Edureka on YouTube? Subscribe... the channel will spoil you with videos. And also get the book "Automate The Boring Stuff With Python". As time goes on, you choose your niche. And as for certificate, it's taking a backseat in the world of Tech.
I hope this help. I'm firing my SQL as I type this. No slacking.

So are you saying I should get the system of 4gb ram like that?

My fellow brother of the geek community. You're good to go with 4gb ram.

iamharkinwaley:
Really ? Are you sure about a 4gb ram system ? Coz goggle made me understand for programming I'll need at least 8gb ram to run it.......

Lol, 4gb is still cool bro. Don't necessary put yourself in the hassle of acquiring 8gb ram system.

HP won't be bad. I currently use Toshiba and it's getting the job done. Just look out for a 4gb ram system, and you're good to go.

Java + Android Studio + Internet(to download images) .
The images are rendered on a surfaceview, then I use a game loop (that refreshes at 40fps) to animate and move things around. The surfaceview implements an onTouchListener (to collect input), then sound is played using the MediaPlayer.

Cool.
Just downloaded the game. I envy you man!

Obagoblog:
RIP...

my own problem is that any time I start playing football, my heart start racing so hard as if I'm about to loose it.

I will have to go somewhere to lie while battling with my breath then after seeing minutes, I'll come back to my normal breathing level.

Is it because I've stayed so long without playing football?

This is exactly what happens to me too. It last for about 30 minutes. I feel like I will soon pass out. I wonder what could be the cause.

During one of our breaks, a neighbour of mine told me in one of our conversations:
“If you know anybody who is studying something related to chemicals they use in factories, tell him to face his book well, there is money in it o.”
“That’s Industrial Chemistry”, I offered.
“Yes, I’m working in one company like that. We help them to offload the chemicals they use in the production of household goods. It’s the workers who are educated among us that are earning the most. In fact I’m now regretting not going to school. I will ensure this my two kids go as far as possible in their education.” He was misty-eyed as he told me this.
In the midst of our talk, the thought of my roommate, Seun whom we popularly call Gomi came to my mind. He was an Industrial Chemistry student. Quite intelligent, always raising topics that relate to Polypeptides, Acrylic, Carbolic Acid, Ethanol and the rest. Sometimes, he asked us why we think it’s necessary to spritz water on cloth before pressing it. And then he would go ahead to explain.
The guy, we were told was already working in a paint industry soon after his graduation. That’s before going for Service.
Sometimes, we cannot disconnect success from schooling.
What I have observed is, those who say: “School na scam” are those who have had a connection with school. A stark illiterate does not understand the meaning of scam, let alone using it to describe an eye-opening institution like school.
People make statement like that because they place high hope on school, but are disillusioned at the end of the day. Not as rosy as they expect it to be.
The fact is we must demand more of ourselves than from any school system. The society that created the formula: “go to school, get the certificate, look for a job and start a life” needs to be told that this is now anachronistic. Pick up a copy of Stop Killing Dreams by Seth Godin, or Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki to get the hang of what I’m saying.
Bill gates has read more books than some graduates, Seun Osewa of Nairaland has put more powerful thoughts to paper, and more contents online than some of our graduates. Both have made impacts in their respective domains, and it makes me wonder: Who is really the drop out?
In the last few years many Nigerian youths have committed suicide for several reasons ranging from academic failure, jilting and disappointment which leads to depression and then, the inevitable.
It is said that the last thing to leave a man is hope. As humans, we must be wise enough not to build our hope around just a single entity.
Sometimes, I wonder if a black hat hacker needs a certificate to hack down a whole system, or if a lady will still not see another man after a man kills himself because of her.
For anybody contemplating suicide, please understand that disappointment in any area is not the end of the world. Suicide is an unceremonious bravery and hence, it’s never an option. You can always rise again. I will leave you with the words of Rancho to Farhan in the movie, 3 Idiots: “If suicide ever cross your mind, take the picture of your parents and think of what will happen to those smiles if you do it.
