I quite understand your anguish and pain most especially if it had retarded your relationship with God. i quite understand you perfectly because i have also worn the pinching shoe so i know how painful and unconfortable it could be. be that as it may, i will advice that you forget the lady in question knowing fully well that it is a taboo or abomination. Most importantly, it will mal your relationship with God which may attract a punishment on its own. There is no gain saying the fact the 'things fall apart' is one of the best novels in Africa. Be that as it may, it portrays a very rich African culture and traditions. There way of life is vividly depicted in such a way that one will clearly see the richness and uniqueness of the Africans. It should also be pointed out that no culture is without its pros and cons. What is most important is that we should pass the good part of these culture and tradition to our future generation. The question of whether the missionaries have done us well or bad is an issue of colonization and they should be credited for that. At for exposing us! What we should do is to divest ourselves from Western category by picking the good ones among and jettisoning the bad ones. To me, which is subjective though, Achebe is not trying to show the barbaric or inhuman nature of Africans, rather, he intends to show the richness of Africa. By my usage of richness, it does not hang on weather right or wrong but uniqueness of it. also note that right and wrong is subjective. |

the kettle calling the pot black, is the case of Mallam El Rufai or what does he call his name. He has now turned a critic of PDP after he participated in the criminal act of PDP. His case is like that of a patient who is nursing his wound, he needs a doctor to attend to his wound but the doctors are not ready to attend to him simply because he did not yield to caution. Now he is now currying for favour or sympathy. But he will not get it and Nigerians will not allow him to come again. He has been ousted out and it will remain like that. El Rufai has caused more harm than necessary, so he does not have the locus standi to say anything about PDP. Weather PDP is criminal or saint is not for El Rufai to decide. So let him clear his name before he starts to talk |

True it is a place to work but about the pay, i think it is more than that. Few years back when i went in for this same interview, (i even saw Adenuga), the pay was about 2,000,000 naira per anum. So hearing this meager amount is disheartening. well i will advice you dont believe such at this stage until u see the appointment letter. |

Dora has actually failed her family and Nigerians. Her integrity is now questionable. Though she did well in NAFDAC but she has contracted the syndrom that is bedevling Nigeria politicians. All her show down are messy and she should be lampooned to see if she could turn a new leaf but if she remains adamant i am sure she will be in the bad record of Nigerians.Let us give her chance and wait and see if she will be remorseful of her actions before we castigate her.
