There is hardly any vehicle certified to drive on roads around the world that's not good.

Sadly however, The mentality in this part of the world gives us that aura or belief that vehicles are to be used forever without breakage.

Not every vehicle can tolerate an attempted fix by an incompetent technician, mechanic or what have you, Toyota for example seem to be able to understand that and kinda made things look simplistic in their design that's why you see them hardly making a major change in technicalities (engine, suspension etc) in their spec of vehicles.

For your Mitsubishi, I have someone who got a Montero as his first ride, and he even learnt with the ride, travels with it etc, and confirms the vehicle is good and also with good mileage as well..

The engine rings might not be tolerant to engine oil mix so for that reason, stick to regular and same oil as you change it..

Your fuel tank must not be empty before a fill..

When an issue arises, don't get caught on the side of procrastination to continue driving it.. Get it fixed or park the vehicle for the while.

I agree, dealers need be honest to a very large extent considering these are sales items that affects the lives of people when in use. But I tell you, the govt aren't helping issues.

In the US for example an accidented or salvage vehicle is very cheap to buy Irrespective of status of airbags etc, even if it's a minor dent, the value crashes heavily so also everything that concerns its resale etc..

But why should the customs here forbid to do that but rather consider waive in import duty only on major dents with airbag deployment... Thats a draconian mentality.

And the system isn't encouraging cleaner environment by encouraging dealers or Nigerians alike to buy newer vehicles due to the huge duty on them, imagine paying millions to clear a 4 or 5yr old vehicle.. It's so ridiculous...
