The Police is Constitutionally empowered to investigate any crime(s) whether or whether not the State House of Assembly is on it.


This is very untrue. The Supreme Court of Nigeria have never heard a case against Tinubu wrt the issue at hand. He was joined in the suit and the particulars of the Certificate was not the subject matter in Court.

The celebrated case here is Gani Fawehinmi v IGP, not even Tinubu. Permit me to go down memory lane.....

The petition was written and Fawehinmi forwarded same to the LSHOA and the Nigerian Police on 21 September, 1999 giving the Police 14 days to make public its findings. Before that, the contents of Gani's letter on 13 September 1999;
“The issue of immunity does not arise yet at the stage of investigation. Your duty at this stage is to conduct an investigation into the matter and make the outcome thereof public.”

On 27 September, 1999; The Police replied Fawehinmi that:
1. By virtue of Section 308, Tinubu cannot be investigated.
2. By virtue of Section 188 (removal of Governor) and Section 308, only the LSHOA can investigate Tinubu and act.
3. That Fawehinmi does not have the locus standi since he was neither a Governorship Candidate nor a member of AD.
4. That Fawehinmi cannot issue an Order of Mandamus following 3 above.

The Supreme Court ruled;
1 & 2. Every person in Nigeria, including the President can be investigated. Investigation does not mean one is guilty or a criminal. The SC still emphasised that members under S308 cannot be tried, imprisoned, arrested or charged to Court. Not even the investigation by any other agency or LSHOA can stop the Police from investigating a crime.

3. That it is the duty of every Nigerian to stamp out crime from the society hence, crime can be reported by any Nigerian to the Police. Hence, Fawehinmi or any Nigerian had the locus to lay a complaint to the Police.

4. That the Police under the Constitution is not compelled to make public any of its findings. Mandamus is a judicial remedy in the form of an order from a court to any government, subordinate court, corporation, or public authority, to do some specific act which that body is obliged under law to do, and which is in the nature of public duty, and in certain cases one of a statutory duty. The SC said Gani must show that he will suffer more than the general interests of Lagosians if the Order is granted. The SC re-echoed that thousands voted for Tinubu so he should show why that Order will make him suffer more than the rest. He had no statutory rights based on Section 59(1) of the Criminal Procedure Law of Lagos @ the time. The Appeal was dismissed.

In 2012, a Dominic Adegbola petitioned the Police again and went to the Federal High Court, Lagos and it was struck out. The man wasn't bringing up a new case, he was trying to enforce Gani's case of 2002 in 2013...a Judicial Review. Order 34, Rule 4 of the FHC Civil Procedure Laws, says it must be brought forth within 3 months.

You seem in a rush to latch onto issues that were not canvassed for here. There is only a singular issue here, the disinformation.

Tinubu's Certificate saga is more a moral burden than a legal issue. That there is something suspicious is not enough, to say he has perjured which is a criminal offence and must be proven beyond every reasonable doubts. His qualification criteria was not brought forth for interpretation here, he is qualified to contest if anyone feels a crime has been committed, he/she can head to Court.

Only the Nigerian Police can unravel the mystery, without which the matter will end the way it is, social media.

The very wrong information has been passed on for some days now, the reason I took my time to explain.

The only thing was he sat for WASC but failed woefully as he joined the military before the results were released as we could see from the letter of recommendation written on his behalf by his then principal guaranteeing that Buhari would pass which the ancient olodo never did.

But the law is very clear and that is, a secondary school leaver is the minimum requirement needed to contest and occupy the seat of the president. Even if Buhari made F9 parallel , he is still qualified to contest having completed secondary school.

But Buhari had been embarrassed about this result which he has hidden in a very secret place in his house so his wife and kids won't say, "Daddy is an olodo ". He refused to submit said results to the Army fearing he will be kicked out. Then the idiotic Igbo coup and the senseless civil war caused much distraction that nobody bothered or cared about Buhari's school cert. Nah so Dogo take escape and became a Maj. General and Head of State, all thanks to Igbo stupidity .

Fast toward to 2014, Buhari , rather than present a result that will make him a laughing stock, decided to lie that the army board had the result. Those ones quickly brought out the recommendation letter from his Principal as the only certificate in his file , reminding him that he had yet to present his WASC.

Then one overzealous idiot decided to do a fake result for Buhari which was quickly debunked as being a fraud owing to the subject lists that included Hausa language which was never in the curriculum at that time for Cambridge WASC courses offered. Cambridge Jewish liars that now control that once reputable institution will lie bare faced that they did offer local languages , despite several govt reports, studies and academic research materials that clearly showed that no local languages were offered by WASC until 1965 and that was in the then western region only. It was not until 1971, and the Gowon govt collapsed all the regional curriculum into one national curriculum and made local languages mandatory.

That said, Buhari never accepted that the obvious fraud was his nor did he attach it to his INEC form or declared it in his affidavit.

Buhari was dragged to court not over if he had completed his secondary school education but for that fraudulent doc that the then current principal of his school released on his own to the press without Buhari's consent.


Now to Tinubu, the issue is very different.

Tinubu did not complete secondary school in Nigeria.

From every indication he was and is a dropout and can not reference any school as they will quickly deny him.

From the foregoing , we can see that buhari and Tinubu's cases are very much polar apart as the major issue here is that unlike Buhari who has a letter of recommendation from his principal guaranteeing that Buhari will pass his WASC exams (showing that indeed Buhari did sit for his finals and graduated F9s and all) and also the fact that there are photos of El Dogo in class with his classmates who can testify on his behalf. BAT, on the other hand, has no school alumni, reference letters or even a name of the purported school that he claimed to have completed.

Tl;Dr:

Buhari complied with the constitution and was more than qualified to contest and occupy the office the president.

BAT is a dropout and for reasons known to him only refuses to name the school he dropped out or got expelled from.
