Aegon:
as a Greek gift to the Niger Delta peoples so they won't clamour for resource control. Sir, the national conference you organised was thrown into the archives because it was going to restructure Nigeria. You see the Northerners don't like restructuring so the president of the north confined it to the archives.

Also sir, the term host community has been redefined to mean the whole country, meaning if Shell spills crude into my village stream and and mothers fish pond, the compensation should go include kebbi kwara and yobe states, they're now part of the "host communities" .
When the president of the south refused to implement the comfb report?

I wonder whose interest these parochial politicians are protecting......

The people that sent you to the government house have taken a stand and you public servants need to understand that

Those Delta state officials are from Urhobo and Itsekiri they are free to join Oduduwa republic.

They are in the minority. The Ijaws constitute 11% of nigeria population.

The Ijaws, Ibos, Cross river and Akwa ibom will merge together. We are satisfied with that.

Politics › Biafra: Stay Off Cross River, Youths Warn MASSOB by Kyase(op): 4:37pm On Jun 01, 2016
In view of the wanton killings in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, occasioned by the agitation for a sovereign state, Cross River State youths have warned the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), to stay off the state.
State Chairman of National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Prince Ndiyu Ndiyu gave the warning in Calabar on Wednesday while reacting to claims by MASSOB during a rally in Ikom that Cross River was one of Biafra states.
Ndiyu said Cross River remained a peaceful state and will not condone any of violence capable of destroying such status.
He said, "Cross River State still maintain the stance as the most peaceful state in Nigeria and we intend to maintain that. Anything associated with violence and destruction of properties and lives is not part of the identity of Cross Riverians. So we will not allow anything capable of destroying that status."
Ndiyu said rather than fan the embers of war, MASSOB should resort to dialogue in their agitation for a sovereign state.
He also called on youths in the country to steer clear of violence and appealed to the agitators to embrace peace and desist from causing unnecessary tension in the country.
"It is imperative that we don't allow divisive elements like MASSOB in the country to flourish. We support Nigeria's unity in diversity.
"We totally disagree with the notion that Cross River state is part of Biafra. I admonish all our youths to steer clear of such groups as they represent chaos and rebellion to constituted authority. Cross River is for Nigeria."
On the frequent attacks on oil facilities by the Niger Delta Avengers militant group, Ndiyu said that what the South-South region contributes to the nation’s economy was not commensurate with the level of development in the region.
“The South-South region needs to feel the impact of the federal government. The zone needs the presence of the federal government. As much as I condemn the incessant attacks on oil facilities by militants, I think the region has suffered neglect from government especially when you consider that the region is the mainstay of the nation's economy.
"I advise Federal Government to adopt the approach of former President Ya'Adua by negotiating with the militants because military action may not solve the problem”

Eight out of the 12 former members of the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party say that they have
accepted the outcome of the party’s national convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, which dissolved their committee.
The development comes even as Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff is insisting that he remains the leader of the main opposition party.
Apart from Sheriff, the National Secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo, and the National Auditor, Alhaji Fatai Adeyanju, are also
insisting that that they are in office.
The three former officers are still contesting their removal from office from the Port Harcourt at the national convention in the
court.
The eight former members of the NWC said in a statement they jointly signed that they have resolved to support the party’s
national caretaker committee headed by a former Governor of Kaduna State, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi, to steer the affairs of the
party.
The statement was signed by the former Deputy National Chairman, Prince Prince Uche Secondus; Deputy National Secretary,
Mr. Onwe Solomon Onwe; National Legal Adviser, Mr. Victor Kwon and the National Woman Leader, Dr. Kema Chikwe.
Others include a former National Youth Leader, Abdullahi Maibasira; National Financial Seccretary, Bolaji Anani and the
National Treasurer, Alhaji Buhari Bala.
They said the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, whom they said was “indisposed on health grounds”,
had also agreed with the resolution.
It was however not clear why the National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar, did not sign the statement.
Like Makarfi, Abubakar is from Kaduna State.
The eight former officers of the party said that the national convention had the powers to dissolve the NWC and therefore, all
actions taken there were in order.
The statement said, “The National caretaker committee constituted by the national convention on May 21, 2016, is fully
within the powers of the national convention under section 33 (5) (e) of the party’s constitution.
“We recognise the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led national caretaker committee of the PDP and offer the committee all our
support and cooperation.
“As responsible and honourable party members who have had the privilege of serving the party at the highest level, we don’t
support and are not party to any suit, action or activity seeking to challenge the decisions of the national convention in
appointing the national caretaker committee or dissolving the former NWC, which had, at any rate, earlier agreed to go.
“In the absence of the then national chairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, the then deputy national chairman of the
party, Prince Uche Secondus, presided over the convention in accordance with section 33 (1) (a), 35 (3) (b) of the
constitution of the party.”
