nextprince:I guess you are not familiar with the popular phrase "Licence and Registration please" ![]() Come on guy, even if you haven't left your street, you should have at least seen a U.S movie once in your life na, at least switch it up a bit from watching those fetish witchcraft movies you love so much. That phrase up there should tell you that those documents are all that are needed to verify if you are fit to drive and if the car has passed trough all appropriate legal channels. Insurance comes next, to make sure you are covered in the event of an accident. They don't start asking you to show custom papers, or tint permits, or c-caution, or extra serpentine belt... |
mavinc4u:Help me ask them. So if I travel now and bring two new phones now as gifts, then later sell them, guess customs would have also missed tat and would need to rectify it by checking the custom papers for every Nigerians cell phone I feel u Bro, sometimes I weep inside knowing just how difficult it would be to change Nigeria with such a high number of illiterates in the society. So now, while driving you'd need to have, by law: -drivers license -registration -road worthiness -insurance ___ -fire extinguisher -spare engine belt -tint permit -c caution -water AND now -custom papers ![]() Sigh, shey it's only in Nigeria that cars are driven This country sucks men. |
nextprince:So in the U.S, customs will stop you on the road in Houston and ask you for import papers bah Most of you have never travelled out of your immediate 1000 square metre radius, but you'll be talking trash, mtcheew ![]() |
jaybim:I understand your pov as well, but you have to know that you can't simply wish that people act a certain way. You'd have to add enforcement to that and even if you have U. S. A level enforcement, you'd still have litter. This litter made by people that slipped through the net of enforcement would still find its way into an open drain. I do see that some new projects have totally covered drainages and that's cool, but to be honest, we'd have to do that for ALL ROADS and I don't think it's impossible, it's just a matter of if it's on the list of the government's priorities. Also, you and I both know that there is zero enforcement, so you'll have to practically beg each and everyone not to litter, maybe using God, but then, not everyone even believes in God, so... The best way is to close that thing like its done in every developed country. |
Jabioro:Eko Electric |

doingood:My prayer is to be able to afford 10kw solar panels, that day, we will use scissors to cut the phcn line ourselves |
slimthugchimee in:We have been on this case with phcn for 2years now |
They said we don't qualify for it, cause we have a transformer. Our meter is always reading 35kva whether or not heavy electrical load items like acs are on. What kind of scam is this? Why we have applied, yet they say we are not eligible and keep bringing 100k+ bill every month. |
So you are happy in your unpredictability bah Everything is unpredictable in Nigeria. ------------------------------------ Will they bring light Well, its unpredictable ![]() Will they pay my salary after I have justly put in the required hours ![]() It is unpredictable ![]() okay, okay, fine, but what about my savings, at least I hope it won't loose 50% of its buying power in a year ![]() Bros what kana telya ![]() How about we get some predictability for a change? Mtcheew |
spora:Lol, sorry can't access the email of this account. His name is Mr. Isaac, located in Lekki, phone: 08166599999 |
jaybim:Why do you Ppl continue to blame the residents for littering Guy, do you know of any country that is 100% crime free You solve a problem after ooking at all possible causes, then the solution should trump those causes. Close the drain and lets see how on earth litter would get in there. So you want to enforce no littering on 200 million ppl Big dream. |
rafhell:Why You should be saying shame to a government that leaves the drainages open, giving dirt the opportunity to find its way there. It's like leaving the door/window open and then wondering why you have mosquitoes. |
Onyenna:You can never stop people from littering, ever!!! Quote me on that. What you can do is curb it, but by that, obviously you'd still have litter. That's why the solution is and has always been, closed drainages. When you have closed drainages, not the ones where they put those useless square concrete slabs that are always removed/stolen, even when ppl litter, which is inevitable, the litter does not get into drainage channels to cause a block. I believe our leaders know this, but... |
I just don't understand why some ppl are organising pro buhari protests. What are they protesting for Isnt buhari the president Has anyone attempted to impeach him Anyone attempted to assassinate him No. On the contrary, we even allowed him to spend a whopping 51 days in another man's country (oh, the shame), yet, they are still rallying and protesting. What do they hope to achieve by all this It just seems so pointless, almost like if I organised an amala rally, with posters reading: "amala is the best", "no eba for me", "amala, saving lives since 1900", "WE WILL NOT TAKE IT"... That's how crazy this all looks to me, mtcheew. |
This ishilove girl is soooo slow, that she can't see that she is the gullible one in the narrative she posted. Chai!! To be so daft, that you don't even realise that you are daft ![]() So to you, a coupist dictator was a good choice for a democracy According to you, it is okay if we keep going back in the past to get leaders right No need for new blood, no need for scholars, no need for antecedents, no need for anything. Once they told you that GEJ matriculated, you started shouting "give us NEPA bill" Now you talk about withdrawing support, but on what basis did you even give your initial support I am so happy you are not a mod here anymore, cause truly, you are the definition of classless. |
Elkay3:I understand where ur coming from, being content and all, but we must also remember the parable of the talents. |
PapaBaby:Yes it can! For instance, you can have A WEEK of constant electricity and ANOTHER WEEK of epileptic power supply. A week of constant rain fall and another week with no rain fall. |
My aunt and I were having an argument about power supply. She was praising Fashola, saying that power has now improved, just because they had power constantly for like a week. I tried to explain to her that if they are enjoying power, it means others are suffering, as we are still generating below 5GW. She started saying I was biased and it's because I don't support Buhari. Now, for the past one week, they have barely seen any electricity ![]() Just made me wonder why we celebrate mediocrity all the time. Trust me, if we start generating like 7GW, I will be the first to celebrate and not before. Every year Nigerians celebrate that "light is constant", then right after that, they are plunged back into darkness ![]() |
I started thinking about the game of chess and the parallels which exist between it and a government. In the game of chess, a player does everything possible to protect their king. Pawns are sacrificed, knights are moved into blocking positions, bishops and rooks provide long range coverage for the King, while the Queen is the most aggressive of protectors. In all of this, the goal is to keep the king "home" and protected, while obviously searching out the opponents king. One can draw similarities, as President Buhari can be compared to the King here in the game of chess. Sadly though, our King absconded, leaving all forms of protection behind, wondering alone into foreign territory and exposing us to a check. No other Nations king (President) has left his/her duty post for so long to be treated in a foreign land. No other king has exposed his kingdom to such an embarrassing check. How many times have we seen Obama seeking critical care in LASU? Or queen Elizabeth jettison her post to make use of the facilities of Abuja Kingdom Exactly!! Hopefully, this embarrassing check, doesn't turn into a checkmate. |
aieromon:Thanks for the tip, intend to do that with some other work by end of March. Till then, I will try my best to avoid driving or revving it cold. |
lonelydora:don't mind them. I will never ever, ever ever, get that bullshhh, like wtf ![]() my mums car was shot at back in the day when she was coming from Delta to Lagos and the driver had to form full James Bond (all glory to God). So they are telling me that, if I am fleeing for my life, my car will now clock full speed at 80-100km/hr ![]() God forbid!! |
I had been battling an overheating problem for over a year and didn't know how to solve the problem. The overheating only occurred when the AC was switched on like 95% of the time, the other times, it happened when i was revving the car at high RPMS (speeding tins), like bet 5000-6000 RPM. The history was, i had taken out the thermostat, fixed all leaks, bought a used Radiator***, switched out regular water for high quality premixed coolant. Now the funny thing is, I took this car to Total close to Palms mall, Total off Lekki Epe, took it some kazeems, took it to Elizade and they all said that I needed to change my Head Gasket. I told all of them that through my research on the internet, my car possess no signs of a failed head gasket. Though I understood that sometimes signs like water in the oil pan and excessive smoke billowing from the exhaust might not show immediately, but I was still very reluctant to believe that I could have blown a head gasket without any signs whatsoever. So all of them wanted to change my gasket, I even got a quote for 20k (all inclusive) to change it and I started to wonder; like, what kind of gasket is this guy going to put in my car for 20k ![]() Funny thing is, I know how precise those things need to be. I have seen videos of guys machining cylinder heads so meticulously, just to get a perfect seal with the gasket and i started to wonder again, if these guys will take all that sweet time on my car to do a good job. Fast forward to later, my sister told me to go see her Mechanic ( a Lebanese guy) and the guy agreed with me that the AC condenser was causing the car to get too hot and it was either the AC system was too hot or the radiator wasn't dropping enough heat from the vehicle. ***remember when I said I got a used radiator Bad move ![]() So he advised that I switch out the Radiator for a Brand New one and switch out the condenser as well, flushed the AC system, adjusted gas and voila!!!! Car runs super duper cool, like... it doesn't even get to operating temp again due to the fact that one of the kazeems removed the thermostat before ![]() anyway, it's that cool. Now before i put the thermostat back, i use the AC to warm up the car to operating temp, sort of like what a thermostat would have don, sigh! Can u imagine that I would now have opened my engine to change my original Toyota gasket, for some 20k gasket ![]() God is really merciful, I tell you. By now I would have been swimming in a WHOLE NEW SET OF PROBLEMS ![]() It's just sad how up to 5 mechanics i went to all missed the diagnostics. |
Sanchez01:Very obvious, hence, very annoying! Sometimes it's refreshing to hear the truth from the lips of the accused, even though one can already deduce the truth based on glaring evidence. |
AirFireEarthH20:Did you see/hear the way he was stammering when saying that 100 stammers/minute, mtcheew ![]() |
As expected, majority of readers are too dense to grasp the message. God help my country How can a country move forward with such a large number of illiterates See them already saying "who sent you?", totally missing the plot of the article by a thousand nautical miles. God help this country for real. These same illiterates on this thread would now help to usher in one of their kind as president again in 2019, because in Nigeria, the illiterates and insane outnumber the sane. |
How did femi get the message since according to him, he is not in contact with the president ![]() |
So how did femi get this message when according to him, he is not in contact with the president ![]() |
buchai:We have been saying that since... Our parents have been saying that since... Hope our children won't be saying that as well |
