forkadict:You are quite smart to pick up my typo error, why weren't you this smart to see the weakness and childishness of Seyi your ambassador? Oh, I guess because he has a pen*is and as such he's always righteous in all his deeds |
Chibabe005:He went at her back, gossiped and talked down about her personality. Then came to her front to continue the insult and shouting down. Then ended up labelling her a 't*w*a*t'. Then when she responds to his constant insult and bully, she's finally uncouth and a local girl. Aren't Nigerians amazing? |

Some questions about Boko Haram that's troubling. Why are we losing our security experts to their onslaught, after we've been informed that Boko Haram have been crushed? Why is this war never ending nor have an end in sight? Why is the government and leaders silent about the continuous killing of army staff and leaders? Are they really equipped for this battle or are the government simply sending them on self suicide mission? Who do we the civilians seek redress from whenever we lose our security experts? If we all keep typing RIP to every soldier who dies in this endless fight, what is the guarantee that we will be safe when they escalate fight in different states? It is no longer cool to keep quiet and type RIP, we need to speak up, and ask genuine questions or else we will become the victim of our own Silence and cowardly attitude. This is an attack on our integrity as individuals and a nation. ...and we should be worried about this constant killing of army staff. |

My thoughts Drinking is not a problem Abusing it is a problem that will affect your health most importantly. As you may have noticed, alcohol have a negative impact on the body. Now, here are some quick facts Alcohol is fermented sugar Much intake of alcohol will definitely make your insulin work double as hard to remain in check Alcohol affects kidney and liver Anything taken in excess will always have a negative impact on the kidney and liver. This is exactly why drunkards speak in tongues until the system excretes the alcohol. So even if you don't want to quit alcoholic beverages, reconsider for the sake of your health and wellness. |

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Sen. Ita Enang, had earlier told State House correspondents on Thursday in Abuja that the implementation of the N30, 000 minimum wage just signed into law by President Buhari would take effect from April 18. According to him, the bill now makes it mandatory for employers of labour in both public and private organisations to pay N30,000 as minimum wage. He said: “You can see me smiling on behalf of Nigerian workers. President Muhammadu Buhari has assented to the Minimum Wage Repel and Enactment Act, 2019. “This makes it compulsory for all employers of labour in Nigeria to pay to their workers the sum of N30,000. “This excludes persons who are employing less than 25 workers, persons who work in a ship which sails out of jurisdiction and other persons who are in other kinds of regulated employment which are accepted by the Act. “It also gives workers the right, if you are compelled by any circumstance to accept salary that is less than N30,000, to sue your employer to recover the balance. ”It also authorises the minister of labour and any person nominated by the minister or any person designated by the minister of labour in any ministry, department or agency to on your behalf, take action in your name against such employer to recover the balance of your wages.” Credit: https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/04/18/buhari-signs-new-minimum-wage-bill-demands-commitments-from-workers/ Now , since the bill has been signed into law, employees are yet to feel the impact of this bill. Most worrisome are the National Youth Corps Members who still receive 19,800 which is the old minimum wage. These are my thoughts: When a bill is signed into law by the senate, house of reps, and the president, it becomes a law that must be implemented by the affected bodies. The question is, why then has the federal government failed in implementing the new minimum wage, most especially with the NYSC? Why does it seem as though this minimum wage is a fluke and have no value to the common Nigerian who's expectant of a pay rise? And why are we not asking questions or perhaps seek redress with respect to the implementation of the bill? Or isn't this bill meant to have taken effect after it was passed over two months ago? We need answers definitely... and no, it is not okay to sign a bill into law and then fail to implement it. Lawyers in the house, what exactly does this mean? |
