Based on lots of our Nairalander's experience, I would like to know if study abroad package is better than visiting (Tourist). Thank you

instead of putme it is Jamb that should be scrapped off. just like other countries a student should just go to the sch of his or her choice and write their exams for admission.

@ Ujuella, I support your post 100 percent as students generally don't have faith in JAMB again like before. I remember in the 90's whereby thousands of students meet at their Ikoyi office to register or check results. Now the system has totally changed as students get results after 24 hrs, but funny enough get a score which some times will be different from what was sent to their phone number. Jamb and ASUU should stop all these noise and do the right thing. Universities in the United states have their own criteria of admissions and if you don't meet it, you are advised to retake SAT or TOEFL to qualify next time.

I suggest the federal government to allow all these body debate, like the pre-election last time and let the people vote.

All candidates who choose Unilag as most preferred choice should go online through www.unilag.edu.ng you will see News and Announcements, click on "IMPORTANT NOTICE ON NEW POLICY ON ELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATES FOR 2015/2016 ADMISSION EXERCISE" after reading go to Prospective students and click on Full Time Undergraduate admissions and click on POST UTME application, another page will show where you can fill in your Jamb registration number,phone number and email used to register jamb.

Your details for payment advice would show if shortlisted as eligible candidate for the exam, if not be expecting an sms from jamb giving you a new school to apply to.

Like I said yesterday "Is this democracy?" Student forced to take an exam where they never choose. Buhari must do something! Meanwhile, there is a peaceful demonstration going on now at Unilag gates protesting this new development.

Dibu Ojerinde has shortlisted 9,937 students out of 33,000 students who scored above 200 and are qualified to take the next Unilag Post UTME screening examination. Also, 18,324 students for Unilorin out of about 57,000 who chose the school. Now he used the criteria of catchment and non catchment with scores ranging from 220,240,250 & 255 depending on your course, yet federal government approved 180 score as cut off mark.

Unilag has accepted and posted this criteria. Now they are planning to send sms to other students to write Post Utme in other institution which they never choose. Please is this right? Because this is not Democracy!

Sunday August 7th, 2011 – New Tenancy Law in Lagos Imprisonment/Fine For Receiving Rent in Excess of One Year

As from now on, every landlord in Lagos state Nigeria who accumulates rent payments more than 1 year from a new tenant will be punished by the law. Such steps would henceforth be considered a criminal offence punishable by a fine or jail term.

This new law is part of the information on the tenancy bill that’s passed by Lagos State House of Assembly on Friday.

This regulation, which is pending the approval of Governor Babatunde Fashola , additionally emphasizes that it shall in addition be illegal and criminal for landlords or their agents to demand or receive from a sitting tenant, rent more than 6 months in respect of any property without prejudice to the nature of tenancy.

Meaning that people who are currently tenants of a building aren’t supposed to pay more than 6 months as opposed to the regular 1 year rent they were required to pay by their landlords.

The law Placed a fine of N100,000 or 3 years jail time on any landlord or new tenant who pays more than 1 year and also N100,000 or 3 months imprisonment for virtually every landlord who doesn’t issue a receipt to a tenant for payment of house rent.

In accordance with a few of the lawmakers who spoke on the recently passed bill, the receipt would enable the authorities to monitor compliance with the law. They said they’re not unmindful of the fact that some land lords can be dubious and would want to change strategy adding that the law, as has been amended, takes care of those areas.

Hello, nairalanders! this is a topic i have been wanting to introduce, but due to my work schedule, seldom have time to enjoy topics from other dedicated nairalanders and even to contribute but as God would have it, has given me this day to communicate with my fellow ppl.

Firstly, i want to draw this observation which had been going on in our country: we all notice that every now and then WAEC results are either cancelled or withheld. Now ask yourself what the causes might be?
Simple, no good reading culture in our society. Then in my secondary years, we were always encouraged to at least read a novel a week to improve our speaking and comprehending level.

Secondly, and lastly. I want to use this opportunity to inform my fellow nairalanders who have the crave for learning or have ppl who deals with books business to be aware of my company importation of books and the cheap costs @ carton prices. there are different variaties. call 08028990767 - Richard, for more info. cheers!

Greetings my fellow nairalanders!!!!!!!!! Well into the issue on ground. The writer said she was the girl they worked 2gether with in the past and he is still dating her but didn't state his mind clearly, if he was having the intention of marring her or not.
Also, there r two ways 2 a coin which can be d negative side or the positive side. like some ppl hav said, everyone has a point, but the fact still remains that wud this girl still remain focused if given the chance to work with the guy even in serious confrontation by other staffs. Again, does she have the ability to maintain a family and still run d business? These r the question the guy need to make thorough research on. BYe

i sure do agree with you that a relationship needs perseverance to last and like i said before, its not all about material things for girls all the time. when a man has prospects a girl can still hang on but most guys are just like that, give them all your heart they are still not satisfied.

Wow! i have heard all u guys and feel it is dishearting 2 feel ppl pain, when of actual sense, this is the happening trend of girls going out not for luv but because of material benefit. My former girl left me after 5 motherf**king years, just because of material things. Well as a man, life must still go on.
